  • Many studies have proposed several factors that affect review helpfulness. Previous studies have investigated the effect of quantitative factors (e.g., star ratings) and affective factors (e.g., sentiment scores) on review helpfulness. Online reviews contain titles and contents, but existing studies focus on the review content. However, there is a limitation to investigating the factors that affect review helpfulness based on the review content without considering the review title. However, previous studies independently investigated the effect of review content and title on review helpfulness. However, it may ignore the potential impact of similarity between review titles and content on review helpfulness. This study used text consistency between review titles and content affect review helpfulness based on the mere exposure effect theory. We also considered the role of information clearness, review length, and source reliability. The results show that text consistency between the review title and the content negatively affects the review helpfulness. Furthermore, we found that information clearness and source reliability weaken the negative effects of text consistency on review helpfulness.

  • As users of internet-based software applications increase, functional and non-functional problems for software applications are quickly exposed to user reviews. These user reviews are an important source of information for software improvement. User review mining has become an important topic of intelligent software engineering. This study proposes a user review mining method for software improvement. User review data collected by crawling on the app review page is analyzed to check user satisfaction. It analyzes the sentiment of positive and negative that users feel with a machine learning method. And it analyzes user requirement issues through topic analysis based on structural topic modeling. The user review mining process proposed in this study conducted a case study with the a non-face-to-face video conferencing app. Software improvement through user review mining contributes to the user lock-in effect and extending the life cycle of the software. The results of this study will contribute to providing insight on improvement not only for developers, but also for service operators and marketing.

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate how the online review usefulness affect consumers' shopping behavior in non-face-to-face shopping, which is now very common format of shopping environment after COVID-19 pandemic. Factors influencing online reviews were determined as quantity of review, agreement of review and characteristic of review based on research by existing researchers. Research design, data, and methodology: Customers in their teens to 60s who had experience of checking online reviews and purchasing products were surveyed using a Google questionnaire form from January 15, 2022 to February 19, 2022. To verify the validity and reliability of the research model, confirmatory factor analysis and discriminant validity analysis were conducted. In addition, the causal relationship between factors was verified through path analysis. Results: As a result, quantity of review and agreement of review had a statistically significant effect on review usefulness. However, characteristic of review did not have a statistically significant influence on review usefulness. And review usefulness had a statistically significant effect on attitude and purchase intention. Conclusions: This study investigated the factors affecting usefulness of online reviews and empirically analyzed the effects of online reviews on consumer attitudes and purchase intentions providing practical and theoretical implications for corporate online review management.

  • As the old saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words" data visualization is essential in almost every industry. Companies make Data-driven decisions and gain insights from visual data. However, there is a need to investigate the role of data visualization in human resource management. This review aims to highlight the power of data visualization in the field of human resources. In addition, visualize the latest trends in the research area of human resource and data visualization by conducting a quantitative method for analysis. The study adopted a literature review on recent publications from 2017 to 2022 to address research questions.

  • Korea has a single National Health Insurance program and all citizens are covered under this program, accounting 97% of the population, approximately 50 million people. Claims submitted by Health care providers are reviewed by Health Insurance Review and Assessment (HIRA) for the reimbursement. HIRA database contains not only individual beneficiary's information, but also healthcare service information such as diagnosis, procedures, prescriptions and tests for them. HRA database has gained attention as importance source for research due to its rich healthcare information and the demand of HIRA database has increased. Due to its tremendous size, however, researchers have had problems in accessing the database to conduct research. To meet this demand, we conducted a study to develop the inpatient sample data from HIRA database for research. This study has two purposes: 1) to determine a needed sample size; 2) to test reliability and validity of the sample data. We determined an adequate sample size to ensure representativeness and generality with additional consideration for convenience of calculation. The minimum sample size was 729,904 for the generality, and 488,861 for representativeness. After considering the convenience of calculation, our final sample size was 13% of the population, which was about 7.7 million beneficiaries. Age (5 years interval) and gender were used as stratification variables for sampling. In order to examine whether this sample data appropriately reflect population, we tested the reliability and validity of the sample data. From the sample data, we computed average expenditure of total claims per inpatient for 2011, frequency of top 30 disease, estimation of the number of stroke patients from the sample data, and then compared them to those from the population. Results confirmed reliability and validity of the sample data.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of raloxifene in prevention of cardiovascular disease in postmenopausal women. Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted. Data sources: The existing literature from 1986 to 2009 was searched electronically using the data base of Medline with the key words of hypertension, obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, lipid, myocardial infarction, coronary events with combination of raloxifene. Study selection: The criteria for inclusion in the review were 1) an randomized clinical trial (RCT), 2) postmenopausal women, 3) English or Korean language. Finally, 15 articles were included in the review. Data extraction: Findings from the studies were organized according to the results of lipid profile changes by two authors. Results: Among 15 articles, 12 studies reported the beneficial effects of raloxifene on LDL cholesterol and 9 studies on total cholesterol in the postmenopausal women. Conclusion: The consistent results on reduction of LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol in raloxifene using postmenopausal women were confirmed. However, the effect of raloxifene on other components of lipid profile and endothelial function were still remaining controversial.

  • Objective: To examine the drug use (prescribing) pattern of serious drug-drug interactions (DDIs, contraindicated drug interactions) using real world data. Prescription patterns were examined in terms of dispensing types. Method: Retrospective drug utilization review (DUR) study was performed. One hundred and six datasets of serious DDIs (DDI pairs) were determined among DDI datasets that Ministry of Health & Welfare announced for the DUR system from 2004 to 2005. Electronically transacted ambulatory patients' prescription database to Health Insurance Assessment and Review Services (HIRA) from July, 2005 to June, 2006 was collected with personal information deidentified and analyzed in terms of types of dispensing as a contributing factor. Results: After prescription data analysis per each patient, total number of DDI cases using 95 DDI pairs was 5,511, which accounted for 2.6 cases per patients. DDI cases between two drugs from each of community pharmacy dispensing- type prescription were considerable (63% vs. 24% in those from each of in-institutional dispensing-type prescription and vs. 13% in those from a community pharmacy dispensing-type prescription and an in-institutional dispensingtype prescription). Conclusions: DDI cases from different prescribers were found to be significant. Thus, the concurrent DUR process between prescriptions from different physicians and institutions should be implemented for the safe drug use.

  • The main purpose of this study was to perform a literature review regarding bibimnaengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles mixed with sauce)-related recipes. To conduct this research, we analyzed recipe data published in Korea from the 1800's to the 1980's. The research was conducted by content analysis and literature review. The documents used in the research were 30 books (dictionaries and recipe books). A total of 37 bibimnaengmyeon-related recipes were identified. The results of the analysis of documented data published within the last 200 years showed two different types of main ingredients for bibimnaengmyeon-related recipes; noodles based on buckwheat flour, and noodles based on wheat flour. Additionally, the bibimnaengmyeon-related recipes were divided according to the sauce; 1) noodles mixed with red pepper sauce and 2) noodles mixed with soy sauce.
