This paper addresses the issue of increasing the effectiveness of national IT R&D planning through the adoption of the technology roadmapping process. As a needs-driven technology planning tool, technology roadmapping can help identify and select technology alternatives to meet a set of market needs. Thus, it allows increasingly limited R&D investments to be used more efficiently. From this point of view, the Ministry of Information and Communication is considering introducing technology roadmapping to support its annual technology planning activity, In this contribution we explain why and how the IT technology roadmap was developed and suggest some useful guidelines to technology roadmapping, on the basis of literature review, case survey and our experience, for organizations due to employ the roadmapping process in the future.

The purpose of this study is to measure importance and performance levels of marketing 4P components of exporting companies, to compare & analyze domestic and foreign exporters' levels and to establish marketing 4P strategies with maintaining some components, improving some marketing activities and reducing activities to enhance korean exporters' competitiveness. Korean exporters' performance is better than foreigners' in product quality, inquiry and order processing of product, product adoptions. And foreigners' performance is better than koreans' in lower price, price adoption, various ways of payments, discount prices.

Recently, object-oriented concepts and technology are on the leading edge of programming language and database systems research, and their usefulness in those contexts has been successfully demonstrated. The adoption of object-oriented concept to the design of model bases has several benefits. From the perspectives of object-oriented approach, models in a model base are viewed as object which encapsulate their states and behaviors. This paper focuses on the design of an object-oriented model base that handles various resources of DSS(data, knowledge, models, solvers) in a unified fashion. For the design of a model base, we adopted Object Modeling Techniques(OMT). An object model of OMT can be used for the conceptual design of an overall model base schema. The object model of OMT provides several advantages over the conventional approaches in model base design. The main advantage are model reuse, hierarchical model construction, model sharing, meta-modeling, and unified model object management.

Electronic commerce (e-commerce) has seen as the potential to improve profitability and productivity in many areas as well as gaining notable attention in many countries. Despite, there has been some uncertainty about the e-commerce impacts for developing countries. The sufficient basic infrastructural deficiency, socio-political, economic and the lack of government public ICT policies have formed the significant barriers to the adoption and e-commerce growth in developing countries. Even though there are many researchers have found the common barriers to e-commerce in the developing nations, all business models targeting those countries are not equally successful. Small companies' persistence failed to challenge the e-commerce barriers in Cambodia because the firms didn't know the correct business model to succeed in this country online market. Therefore, this study will discuss the existing barriers which lead to limit e-commerce growth in Cambodia and the suggested solutions with the suitable business model for the e-commerce business in the country too.

The purpose at this study was to investigate how component factors at SCM affect the performance at textile and apparel firms in a competitive market. For the methodology at this study, the questionnaire was developed based upon the literature review. 150 questionnaires were distributed to the CEOs, CMOs, and experts who operate SCM in textile and apparel firms. The returned usable 85 were analyzed by SPSS10.0 with multiple regression analysis and Cronbach's Alpha for internal consistency and reliability. The performance at the textile and apparel firms that adopted SCM was affected by information system, partnership, and business environment in a descending order. For details, the performance of the textile and apparel firms that adopted SCM was affected by computerization, information sharing, CEO's concern, alliance, and support in a descending order.

Although the generic implementation of aqueous two-phase systems (ATPS) processes for the recovery of biological products has been exploited for several years, this has not resulted in a wide adoption of the technique. The main reasons involve the poor understanding of the mechanism governing phase formation and the behavior of solute partitioning in ATPS processes, the cost of phase forming polymers, and the necessary extended time to optimize the technique. In this review paper, some of the practical disadvantages attributed to ATPS are addressed. The practical approach exploited to design ATPS processes, the application to achieve process integration, the extended use for the recovery of high-value products, and the recent development of new low-cost ATPS, are discussed. It is proposed that the trend of the practical application of ATPS processes for the recovery of biological products will involve the purification of new high-value bioparticulate products with medical applications. Such a trend will give new impetus to the technique, and will draw attention from industries needing to develop new, and improve existing, commercial processes.

Today, ERP becomes very popular as a vehicle of implementing an integrated information system since this package not only facilitates reengineering but also provides the function of generating consolidated financial statements. Yet a successful introduction strategy on the integrated information system needs to be set up because ERP has weaknesses as well as strengths. The strengths include the prompt reaction to environmental changes, the integrated management of information, the adoption of open systems, and the selection of modules according to functionsl However, the weaknesses of ERP include the provision of only basic functions, the development of package on international standard processes, and possible disadvantages to small and medium-sized firms. This paper is to suggest recommendations on the implementation strategy of ERP as an integrated information system. According to the case study with Firm A that has successfully implemented an ERP package, the most significant advantage of adopting ERP was that Firm A was able to implement an integrated information system for only six months. Finally, this research generates suggestions, such as the importance of the project team structure, the sufficient amount of time for education, and the minimization of the package modification.

The current interconnection charge regimes is based in fully distributed costing method. Basically this method doesn't give the incument carrier the incentive to promote efficient business operations. In this paper, 1 suggest the adoption of price cap regulation to interconnection charge as incentive schemes and review important considerations in its applications. Additionally I suggest the basic structure of the network costing model for applications of incremental costing method.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which was first identified in Wuhan, China, in late December of 2019 is rapidly spreading across the globe. The South Korean government has ordered the closure of all schools, as part of its attempts to use social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The effects of the school closures on reducing contagion are generally positive; however, the measure is controversial because of the socioeconomic ripple effect that accompanies it. The author briefly reviewed the existing literature on the mental health aspects of disasters and presents the issues related to school closures due to pandemics, from medical and socioeconomic perspectives and in terms of children's mental health. The results of this review suggest that research on children's mental health in relation to the adoption of school closures as a pandemic mitigation strategy is urgently needed.
