A Study on Satisfaction by Visitors' pull factors and push factors - Focusing on Yangdong Ethnic Village in Kyeong-Ju - (전통민속마을 방문의 추진 요인 및 유인 요인이 만족도에 미치는 영향 연구 - 경주 양동민속마을을 대상으로 -)

  • This study analyzed push, pull motivation factors and satisfaction of visitors who visited Yangdong village in order to maintain, conserve and seek for effective utilization of this village. The result of this study was summarized as follows. Firstly, the result was that 'personal relations' has a positive impact on 'regional environment' and 'amenities', 'the pursuit of knowledge' has a positive impact on 'regional environment' and 'amenities' on the correlation between the visit motivation and the visit satisfaction. Secondly, 'the pursuit of knowledge' and 'the desire to new experience' have positive impact on the visit satisfaction on a part of the push factor generally. Physical environment was a only factor that has a positive impact on the visit satisfaction on a part of the pull factors. Thirdly, the intention of recommendation was a only factor to has a positive impact on the visit satisfaction on the correlation between the intention of return visit, recommendation and the visit satisfaction. It was proved that the intention of return visit was strongly associated with the intention of recommendation. This result of this study confirmed the important pull and push factor to enhance the tourist attraction of Yangdong village. It will be helpful to make the preliminary data for planning and conservation guidance of traditional village.

The Perceived-experiential Value and Service Quality of Auto Maintenance and Repair Service

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine such relationships as the experiential value that customers respond to with regard to maintenance service by empirically revealing how the quality of auto maintenance and repair service affects both customer satisfaction and intention to reuse the same service through the Perceived-experiential Value of customers. Research design, data and methodology: The research model was designed with service qualities such as human quality, material quality, interaction quality, and system quality as independent variables, perceived-experiential value as a parameter, and service satisfaction and return visit intention as dependent variables. Through a questionnaire composed of 24 items, a total of 319 survey data from customers with the experience of using car maintenance service centers in Korea were collected and analyzed using a structural equation. Results: The material quality did not affect the customers' perceived-experiential value, whereas the interaction quality had the greatest influence. It is confirmed that human quality, interaction quality, and system quality can generate customer satisfaction and repurchase intention through the perceived-experiential value. Conclusions: The experiential value of customers can play an important medium role in improving satisfaction, with customers considering interaction quality important. Therefore, the auto maintenance and repair service should consider relationship-focused service strategies.

The Effects of Factor Satisfaction and Experience Satisfaction in Foreign Medical Services on Revisit Intentions - Focused on Medical Institutions in Daegu Metropolitan City (의료서비스를 이용한 외국인환자의 요소만족 및 체감만족이 재방문의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective: This study conducted an empirical research on foreign patients who had visited the medical institutions of Daegu region in order to identify the effects of the factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction with medical services on their revisit intentions. Methods: This study reviewed the existing studies on medical services to foreign patients with a main focus on medical tourism, and conducted the empirical research through a survey on foreign patients from the Russian, Chinese and English-speaking regions based on the Daegu Medical Tourism Promotion Institute's DB of foreign patients. The empirical research conducted a multiple regression analysis on factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction regarding return visit intentions. Results: The multiple regression analysis results showed that both the factor satisfaction and the experience satisfaction with medical services of foreign patients had positive effects on their return visit intentions, especially, with a relatively greater effect from the factor satisfaction. Specifically, it was found that factor satisfaction elements of 'friendliness of employees', 'good communication', and 'expertise of medical workers'; and experience satisfaction elements of 'reliability of medical information', 'efforts to minimize incompatibility towards foreigners', 'convenient access to medical information' and the like enhanced the return visit intentions. Conclusion: We discovered that, in the context of medical tourism activities, it is important to enhance factor satisfaction and experience satisfaction with medical services in order to promote return visits of the foreign patients who we once attracted. Especially, there are implications that reliability of medical information and efforts to minimize incompatibility towards foreigners enhance return visits of foreign patients.

A Study on the Recognition Level of Traditional Market Users on Return Intention (소비자의 전통시장에 대한 인식수준이 재 방문의도에 미치는 영향 연구 : 목포지역 소비자를 중심으로)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the variables that lead consumers to visit traditional markets and buy market goods. Thus, the current research examined the relationship between satisfaction and return intention as among the factors influencing loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted to examine the effects of the perceived level of factors on loyalty and how it influenced consumers' visits to traditional markets in 125 adult adolescents and women living in Mok-po area. The results of the questionnaire were obtained. The statistical data of the questionnaire were verified by SPSS. Results - In this study, consumers' perception level of eight loyalty factors can be perceived by the traditional Korean market. The empirical analysis is summarized as follows. First, by selecting five representative variables influencing intention to return to traditional markets, Mok-po area consumers were affected by the intention to revisit according to the intensity of recognition level among these variables. Second, the higher the perceived level of product price, quality of access (accessibility) among the factors that consumers perceive as important factors in visiting traditional markets were heightened. Third, Mokpo residents are aware of the main important factors of visiting the market such as receiving a friendly atmosphere (image) about traditional market, market environment (hygiene and cleanliness), connection with the local economy, and customer service such as kindness, refund and return. These loyalty factors did not affect consumers' intention to revisit. In other words, image, environment, regional economic linkage, and these factors did not have a positive effect on revisit intention. Conclusions - The empirical analysis of this study suggests that factors that directly affect loyalty among the key factors that play a major role in visiting traditional markets should be identified and developed as loyalty factors. It is necessary to identify the key factors influencing the satisfaction and loyalty of traditional market users, and operate a system that systematically and comprehensively manages and evaluates them. In order to do this, the government, the local governments, and related organizations should regularly conduct loyalty and satisfaction surveys on visa recognition levels and establish strategies for dramatic improvement measures.

The Analysis of the Factors in Customer Trust and Revisit Decision in Traditional Market (전통시장 방문요인과 고객신뢰간의 관계분석 및 재방문 결정의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between customer trust and intention to return to the traditional market by using empirical analysis. Research design, data, and methodology - For the empirical analysis of this study, questionnaires were conducted for adults and over 20s. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed to consumers with experience in traditional markets, and 163 of them were used for empirical analysis. In order to analyze the relationship between customer trust and return visit intention by consumers visiting the traditional market, variables were selected through 10 constructive concepts and revised based on previous studies. The SPSS for win 18.0 was used for data analysis. Results - In order to clarify the relationship between consumer's visit to traditional market and customer's trust, it was found that the tolerance values of both the visiting factors and the consumers' perceptions of traditional markets were higher than .01. In the relationship between visitor's visit to traditional market and customer's trust, price was positively related to customer trust at 0.1% level. Image, product quality and freshness of traditional market were 5% Positive effects were found. These results show that consumers who visit traditional markets gain customer's trust in price, image, product quality and reliability of traditional market. Conclusions - In this study, the results of this study are as follows: First, the effect of customer trust on customer satisfaction is affected by the image (emotion) consumers feel about traditional market, the trust level about the price of goods offered by the market, The confidence level of freshness, the reliability of consumers' connection with the local economy, the consumer's traditional marketplace, and the level of awareness of the service (kindness) of the variables on the independent variables. As a result of the analysis, it was found that among the influence variables of customer trust used in this study, consumers had a high level of confidence about the price of commodities offered by the market, quality of goods, and freshness, The same relationship, market environment such as hygiene or cleanliness, connection with a local economy, service (kindness) of traditional market did not affect consumers' trust in traditional markets.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of restaurant selection factors on reliability and revisit intention. The results of empirical analysis were as follows: First, the factors influencing the intention to visit the restaurant were the physical environment, service, price, location, reputation, cleanliness, It is confirmed that consumers are willing to visit again if their satisfaction is high because they choose general consumers considering kindness and taste. Second, trust is found to affect re - visit intention and it can be judged that store faith is actively considering return visit through consumer 's belief. Third, it was found that the factor of selecting the restaurant business influenced the intention to visit again according to the trust. When the customer chooses according to the restaurant business standard and satisfies the trust, it intends to increase the intention to visit again. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is found that the factors of restaurant selection and trust affect the revisit intention of restaurants, and it is meaningful to provide theoretical and strategic implications.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify and to compare the internet service factors affecting shopping satisfaction and intention to return between total shopping sites and fashion specialty sites. Data were obtained from 208 men and women aged between 20-40 who used internet. Factor analysis, Multiple regression, chi square test and F test were applied. The results were as follows. First, there were some demographic differences between two site shoppers. Young, low-income, student consumers were more likely to visit fashion specialty site than older, high-income, non students were. Second, consumer satisfaction and revisit to the total shopping sites were influenced by site composition, purchasing convenience, and after-purchase service. For the fashion specialty sites, consumer satisfaction was affected by site composition and after-purchase service while consumer intention to return was only by site composition. Thus, big sized total shopping sites should provide all kinds of online services to satisfy consumers. Small sized, fashion specially sites had better concentrate on site design or fashionable, creative product merchandising to get a competitive edge for young customers.

A Study on Service Recovery and Customer Behavior from Service Failure (서비스 실패에 따른 서비스 회복과 고객행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to prove that the appropriate fit between service failure and recovery strategy can efficiently maximize customer satisfaction and behavioral intention, by using the prepared scenario through comprehensive approach concerning how the expectation level of service recovery has influence on perceived fairness, satisfaction and behavioral intention of service recovery based upon size in case of service failure. This study has been conducted by way of selection of filling-up type questionnaires for customers themselves who have experience in service failure out of customers who can easily visit family and hotel restaurants, that is, domestic restaurants in Seoul area, $June{\sim}August$ 2004, by setting factorial design of 2(control, severeness)$\times$3(distributive fairness, procedural fairness, mutual relational fairness)$\times$2(customer satisfaction, customer behavior). The survey was performed on the customers who visited common restaurants, family restaurants, hotel restaurants, etc. mainly in Seoul, and total 600 sheets of questionnaires were distributed and 496 sheets of them were returned(82.67% of return ratio). Research findings are as follows; First, perceived recovery justice has an effect on customer satisfaction and behavioral intention. Second, customer satisfaction and restaurant satisfaction have positive influence on behavioral intention. The results will be helpful for them to develop a further service failure and recovery framework. For service marketing managers, the results will suggest specific guidelines for establishing service recovery strategies.

The Effect of the Physical Environment on the Customer Satisfaction, Revisit Intention, and Word of Mouth Intention in Japanese Restaurants (일식전문점의 물리적 환경이 고객만족, 재방문의도, 구전의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of physical environment of Japanese restaurant on customer satisfaction, revisit intention and word of mouth intention. For this purpose, data were collected from 341 adult males and females who had used Japanese restaurants in Daegu. SPSS program frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. Through the factor analysis, the physical environment of the Japanese specialty restaurant was identified as a component of comfort, aesthetics, and convenience. As a result of the multiple regression analysis, the three components of the physical environment have positive effects on customer satisfaction, return visit intention, and word of mouth intention. The results of regression analysis showed that customer satisfaction had a positive effect on revisit and word of mouth intention. Through the results of this study, we confirmed the physical and environmental impacts of the specialty restaurants and suggested the practical and theoretical implications.
