온라인 거래의 증가가 지역 소매 상권에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study about the effects of online commerce on the local retail commercial area)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 거래량의 증가가 지역 상권에 미치는 영향에 대하여 양적 질적 분석을 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 실증분석은 2002년부터 2016년까지 15년간의 '전국사업체조사'와 '온라인 쇼핑 동향조사' 및 '지역소득조사' 결과와 한국은행의 거시경제 지표 중 '지역별 경제성장률', '소비자물가 등락률', '종가기준 연평균 원달러 환율 등락률' 데이터 등에 기초하여 진행되었다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 온라인 거래금액의 증가가 소매업종 점포수의 감소에 영향을 주고 있으며 업종별로 구분하면 기타 가정용품 소매업, 음·식료품 및 담배소매업, 문화, 오락 및 여가용품 소매업 그리고 종합소매업 순으로 감소의 정도가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 종합소매업에 포함된 대형종합소매업과 체인화 편의점은 온라인 거래액이 증가함에도 점포수가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 기타 가정용품 등 업종의 점포수 감소한 주요 이유는 매장의 규모가 작은 경우 온라인 거래 대비 제품 품질 직접 비교 및 구매 경험 만족도 등 관점에서 차별성 및 효율성이 떨어지기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 온라인 거래액이 증가할 때 점포수가 증가한 소매업종은 체인화 편의점, 기타 상품 전문 소매업 모형, 섬유, 의복, 신발 및 가죽제품 소매업, 그리고 대형종합소매업의 순으로 나타났다. 또한 온라인 거래 증가에 따라 음식점 점포수가 가장 크게 증가하였는데 이는 온라인 거래의 증가 및 인터넷 사용자의 증가에 따라 배달앱 등이 활성화되고 블로그 및 SNS 등을 통한 맛 집 소개 및 사용 후기 전파 등이 증가하여 온라인 거래의 긍정적 영향이 작용한 것 때문으로 판단되었다. 따라서 오프라인 기업들이 온라인 대비 차별성과 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해서는 일정 규모 이상의 매장에서 소비자들이 직접 비교하고 착용하고 경험하는 등의 서비스를 제공할 수 있어야 할 것으로 여겨진다. 임대료는 온라인 거래가 증가함에도 상승하였는데 이는 1층 중대형매장의 임대료를 분석한 것에 기인한다. 즉, 온라인 거래가 증가하여도 사용자 경험을 제공하는 차별화된 매장 수요는 증가하기 때문으로 판단되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 변화와 위기에 대응하는 지역 중소 소매업체들의 사업전략 조정이 필요함을 시사하며 이에 대한 중앙 또는 지방정부 차원의 지원노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

소지역 통계 생산을 위한 추정방법 (Application of In-direct Estimation for Small Area Statistics)

  • 지방자치제 실시에 따라 우리나라에서도 전국 또는 도 단위의 통계뿐만 아니라 시 군 구 등의 소지역 통계에 대한 수요가 증대되고 있다. 하지만 정부통계 생산을 위해 실시되는 표본조사의 경우 시(특별시, 광역시) 및 도별 통계생산을 목적으로 하기 때문에 신뢰성 있는 소지역 통계를 산출하는 것이 불가능하고, 따라서 이런 소지역 통계생산을 위해 간접 추정 기법을 적극적으로 활용하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 정부통계 생산을 위한 소지역 통계 기법의 도입 및 활용 가능성을 검토해 보기 위해 인천광역시 숙박 및 음식점업의 총매출에 대한 구별 소지역 통계를 산출할 수 있는 여러 가지 간접 추정 방법을 제시하고, 아울러 도소매업 총조사 자료를 이용하여 제시된 간접추정량들의 효율성을 비교 분석해 보고자 한다.

음식점 매출변화를 통해 살펴본 금연구역 정책의 경제적 영향 분석 (Assessment of the Economic Impact of the Non-smoking Area Policy on Restaurant Sales)

  • Purposes: Despite the positive health effects of both smokers and non-smokers, the non-smoking area policy is being negatively evaluated because of the vague fears of declining restaurant sales. The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in sales of general restaurants(including liquor stores) and other restaurants that are considered to have the most applications of smoking cessation policy among the smoking facilities, and to examine the economic impact of the designation and expansion policies of non-smoking areas. Methodology: This study used the wholesale and retail trade survey data of the Korea National Statistical Office from 2011 to 2014 and analyzed 31,577 restaurants excluding missing values. For statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA and Difference-in-differences(DID) models were used and the interaction term of area and year was entered. Findings: As the non-smoking area policy had been designated and expanded from December 2012 to December 31 2013, high restaurant sales in 2012 declined sharply in 2013. However, despite the expanding of the no-smoking area from January 1 2014 through December 31 2014, restaurant sales slightly recovered in 2014. In the case of other restaurants, there is no significant change in sales since the start of the policy in 2013. Practical Implications: The decline in restaurant sales due to the designation and expansion of non-smoking areas is temporary and can not be sustained over the long term. This result can be used to positively suggest negative perceptions of the designation and expansion policy of non-smoking areas. Also, this result can contribute to health promotion and smoking cessation policies by protecting non-smokers from the risk of secondhand smoking exposure and inducing smokers to decrease smoking rate and smoking amount.

제주시 구도심 상권의 쇠퇴 원인에 관한 연구 -토지이용 및 건축물 등의 물리적 현황을 중심으로- (A Study on the Causes for Declining of Business Area in the Old Downtown of Jeju-si - Focused on a Physical Situation of Land Use and Buildings -)

  • The aim of this thesis is to present why the business district of old downtown in Jejusi collapsed and what sort of problems caused by that as collecting objective data, which help us to comprehend how the commercial zone has been decaying, on the physical state of the specific area near 'Sinheungro' and 'Chilsungro', which are main commercial sites in the downtown, and analysing it. Firstly It was revealed that most land investigated was property in which structure was able to built or poor land within $60m^2$. This was caused by increasing in land value and high density in space use so that the area did not develop. Secondly, In addition to be low density, most of buildings in 'Sinheungro' and 'Chilsungro' were so old and inefficient - the old buildings were abandoned without improving due to expensive rent and complicated property rights. Thirdly, According to the survey accomplished, major commercial facilities in the area have struggled with the continuous recession in their business. It was the inevitable result of not having an effective alliance with surrounding retail shops and a lack of a strategic action for satisfying consumers desire or adapting to new shopping patterns. Fourthly, Infrastructure in the site was ruining the beauty of the urban landscape as well as bringing on bad access to the inner city as not having improved enough. Furthermore, many administration departments which were in charge of each infrastructure existed. This was resulted from not considering unification between each infrastructure and regional characteristics of the local community.

동대문 패션시장의 생산시스템을 활용한 글로벌 마케팅 전략에 관한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on Global Marketing Strategy for the Dongdaemun Fashion District)

  • Dongdaemun Fashion District has been successfully positioned as the main hub for fashion product distribution in Korea since 1960 thanks to its unique and successful fashion merchandising system. This system enables the distributors to respond quickly to consumer need and inexpensive price. However, at the present time, Dongdaemun Fashion District has been facing serious challenges from new types of retail stores such as fast fashion brands like ZARA and online shopping malls. To achieve this result, statistical analysis was performed using data from 68 employees of wholesalers in the Dongdaemun Fashion District. They were required to answer questions regarding the marketing system supporting program, amenities like restrooms, and traffic congestion. For the case study, C.I.S, a successful global wholesale system in Italy, was selected. C.I.S has 130 offices offering professional services in the field of trade, legal and tax issues, and insurance. This study suggests cooperation among related wholesalers in order to make an area management plan in the Dongdaemun Fashion District. Also, for the wholesalers to build up product information system and infrastructure for the Global marketing strategy.

한우와 수입산 쇠고기의 부위별 수요함수 추정 - 수도권 소비자를 중심으로 - (The Estimation of the Demand Function of Korean Beef and Imported Beef Cuts - Focusing in Consumers in the Metropolitan Area -)

  • This paper estimated the demand function of the cuts of Korean beef and imported beef by using the consumer panel and retail price data from the Korean Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, and the weather data from the Korea Meteorological Administration with an log-log model and AIDS model. The results show that the preference for cuts of beef used for cooked soup, steamed dish, Changjorim are more elastic than cuts used for roasting when there is a change in price and income in the estimation of demand function of Korean beef. On the other hand, consumers respond sensitively with the demand of roasting part compared to steamed dish, Changjorim, soup when there is change in price and income in the estimation of demand function of imported beef. The results indicate that there is substitutional relationship between Korean beef and imported beef, because Korean beef cuts used for roasting can substitute for imported roasting part and the same relationship applies to steamed dish, soup, Changjorim. In addition, family number, family member, husband job, purchasing place, means of transportation, purchasing time, weather are statistically significant.

  • Purpose - Since Korean distribution market was opened, the domestic environment in department stores has been changed by the pattern of consumption and consumer need based on income classes. As multilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) accelerates opening markets, the scale of circulating capital has become bigger. Large-scale commercial facilities have developed quickly as a form of a large shopping center, thus, the matter of choice and securing market area became an important valuable in this trend. Moreover, multi-complex space has been proposed as the goal of successful business with promoting the public benefit. Research design, data, and methodology - This research studied consumer behavior using data about the life style and sales of consumers, not statistical data or survey as previous studies. This research tried to find the differentiation in complex cultural space with consumption behavior of department store. Results - As the structure of society and culture was getting diverse and complex, economic growth and development with such diversity and complexity improved consumers' quality of life. The changes of consumer life style are quite natural like human instinct. Department stores have activated retail business with the products of accumulated technology. Moreover, they have created the space of consumption and culture. Because of these social and environmental changes, department stores are being developed as Multi-functional spaces as well as sale places considering the strategies of department and the changes of consumers' purchasing behaviors. Conclusions - Urban culture complex is a landmark standing for the culture era of 21st century. It has provided an opportunity for consumers to enjoy culture, and has been an important factor to improve company images. Based on these roles and needs, expectancy effects are related with consumer preference and space preference, and the attitude toward companies. Moreover, the expectancy effects from those relationships are getting bigger and bigger. We should respect nature, a characteristic of Korean architecture, maintain visual continuity that harmonies with nature in the development of the complex space of the domestic department stores, and should take significance in the development of the complex cultural space in the direction of feeling the hierarchy of the space to obtain the visual pleasure with the artificial structure.

양식해태의 유통에 관한 조사 연구 (A Study on Marketing of Cultured Laver Products)

  • Laver io one of the most necessary and seasonal items in Korean food from oldtimes. Laver is lagely eaten in dried form, and its supply depends entirely upon culture weeds. The history of laver culture in Korea about sixty or seventy years is older than in Japan. Significance of laver culture is divided into two aspects, one is food supply in the nation, and the other is export to other countries. Houses engaged in laver culture are about foully thousands, and laver production in 1972 is estimated as 1, 3 bitten sheets. (1 sheet is a dried laver of 20 cm sq, in the shape of paper) Especcially meaning of layer production is the concentration of labour input, and systematic management of labour. From around 1920, the method of laver culture was introduced by Japanese Imperialism for mono culture in shallow seas, and mass products of laver is provided to Japan market, DOMESTIC MARKET Fundamental consume function calculates at below, $D_{(68_71)}$=16354 $Y^{0.471}$ $P^{-1.0662}$ where D is total layer demand, Y income variable, P price variable. It means income elasticity is 476. in the whole country, and price elasticity is 1, 07. But generally income elasticity is higher in urban area than in rural area, as shown at 1, 3 in Seoul city. Expence of laver in house expenditure is mutually correlated with another expence, See Table 12 about the relative function. See Table 14 and 16 about the relation between the gathering and the changes of price in auction, wholesale and retail price support system is for two effects, one of which is constraint of the upper price, the other is rise of the lower price. Laver production in 1970 tile highest record till then, is estimated as six billion sheets. But the recent improvement of laver culture techniques, the production of seeds and freezing storage of seeds has been stabilized. Futher new culture farms have been developed by means of break- water fences or by floating culture method. These improvements have been backed up with increased demand of laver products. Import quantity and price of Korean laver products are restrained by three organizations, that is producer, distributor and consumer. This relationship calculated by regression equation shows that import is influenced only producer organization, at the sacrifice of consumer profit. For increase to export of laver products, we urgently require to open foreign trade of laver products for Japanese consumer, .and Japan has political responsibility to solve Korean laver structure. But with long run timeseries, as regards Japanese production and import quantity, importing function shows increasing trend as below, 250 million sheets <3, 947.1674+0.005 $L_{g}$ >) 600 million sheets where $L_{q}$ is relative production quantity of laver in Japan.
