대규모 연안매립으로 인한 허가어업제한보상액 산출방식에 관한 일고찰 (A Study on the Estimation Method of Compensation for Restriction in Licensed Fisheries Caused by a Large Scale Coastal Reclamation)

  • This paper tries to suggest one kind of estimation method of compensation for restriction in licenced fisheries caused by a large scale coastal reclamation under Code 62 of the Fisheries Act. To do so, the paper focuses on estimating the restriction rate of licenced fisheries through introducing several new factors for calculating the amount value of compensation, such as the restriction rate of fishing area, the decreasing rate of fishing time and the variation rate of fishing cost. Finally, the paper tries to apply the method to the case of compensation fer fisheries damage at the Incheon coastal area caused by the construction of the base of LNG of 1992.

노인 암환자의 건강관련 삶의 질 영향요인: 2015년 한국의료패널 자료 분석 (Comparison of Factors Influencing Health-Related Quality of Life between Young-Aged and Old-Aged Patients with Cancer: Analysis of the 2015 Korea Health)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine factors influencing health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and compare them between young-aged and old-aged patients with cancer. Methods: Data of 291 patients (young-aged: 168, old-aged: 123) were obtained from the 10th wave of the 2015 Korea Health Panel Survey. The HRQOL was measured using the Korean version of Euro-QoL-5D. Independent t-test, analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis were performed to identify factors influencing HRQOL. Results: The average HRQOL score was 0.87±0.10 and 0.82±0.15 among young-aged and old-aged, respectively. The factors differed partially between the two groups. For young-aged, the influencing factors were activity restriction, subjectively perceived health status, and smoking. For old-aged, the influencing factors were activity restriction, subjective health status, and unmet healthcare needs. Conclusion: Strategies to improve the HRQOL of elderly adults need to be developed considering the age group. Additionally, studies that include clinical factors such as symptoms are required to prepare need-based practical approaches for better quality of life of such patients.

  • Aging is the progressive accumulation of changes with time associated with responsible for the ever-increasing susceptibility to disease and death which accompanies advancing age. Lipid peroxides easily produced in the membrane system by the chain reaction of free radicals which occurred from various environmental factors. The amount of lipid peroxides produced in biological system increased with aging process, and lipid peroxidation damages involved in aging process and pathological disorders. Although lipid peroxides have such deleterious effects on the organisms, there are numerous substances and mechanisms which prevent the reaction of peroxide formation and protect the subject from its toxicity. This review provides an overview of how does lipid peroxidation of unsaturated lipids take place by free radical, and what is the intervention of lipid peroxides in pathogenesis of some human diseases, and also how does food restriction influences the aging process and various pathological disorders. The major focus of this paper is to review the evidence indicating that food restriction retards the aging process, and possible mechanisms of its actions. Therefore, it discussed the effects of age and food restriction on life-span, membrane yield, lipid peroxidation, fatty acid composition and peroxidizability, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, prostaglasndin and thromboxane synthesis, which may be concerned with blood flow, membrane fluidity, homeostasis and glomerular filtration rate in living body.

  • Attenuated functional exercise capacity in elderly and diseased populations is a common problem, and stems primarily from physical inactivity. Decreased function and exercise capacity can be restored by maintaining muscular strength and mass, which are key factors in an independent and healthy life. Resistance exercise has been used to prevent muscle loss and improve muscular strength and mass. However, the intensities necessary for traditional resistance training to increase muscular strength and mass may be contraindicated for some at risk populations, such as diseased populations and the elderly. Therefore, an alternative exercise modality is required. Recently, blood flow restriction (BFR) with low intensity resistance exercise (LIRE) has been used for such special populations to improve their function and exercise capacity. Although BFR+LIRE has been intensively studied for a decade, a comprehensive review detailing the effects of BFR+LIRE on both skeletal muscle and vascular function is not available. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to discuss previous studies documenting the effects of BFR+LIRE on hormonal and transcriptional factors in muscle hypertrophy and vascular function, including changes in hemodynamics, and endothelial function.

과체중 및 비만여성에서 연령이 열량 제한에 의한 체조성 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of age on changes of body composition through caloric restriction in overweight and obese women)

  • 본 연구는 만 19~60세의 BMI $23kg/m^2$ 이상 여성 61명을 대상으로 12 주간 열량 섭취 제한 시 체중 감량에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고 이들의 상관성을 알아보고자 하였다. 12주간의 열량 섭취 제한으로 하루 평균 451.9 kcal가 감소하였고 열량 제한 후 체중은 평균 4.5% 감소하였고, 내장지방량은 11.9%, 피하지방량은 8.2% 감소하였으며, 혈압도 유의하게 감소하였다 (p < 0.01). 혈액지표 중 GPT 농도는 감소하였으며 (p < 0.05), 아디포넥틴 농도는 증가하였다 (p < 0.01). 연령이 증가함에 따라 섭취 열량 감소량이 낮게 나타났다 (r = 0.31, p = 0.02). 젊은 연령에서 열량 섭취량 감소가 컸으며, 연령이 증가할수록 열량 섭취량 감소가 낮게 나타났다. 연령은 독립적으로 신체 조성 변화와 유의한 관련이 있었으며 (p < 0.05), 연령이 증가함에 따라 열량 섭취 제한에 따른 체중 및 내장지방과 피하지방의 감소량이 낮았으며, 특히, 내장지방 감소량이 낮게 나타났다 (p < 0.05). 또한, 연령이 증가함에 따라 열량 섭취 제한에 따른 렙틴 농도 감소량도 낮았다 (p < 0.05).

온라인 게임 부정사용 억제가 감정과 재사용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Influence of Restrictions toward Online Game Misbehavior on Users' Emotional States and Intention to Reuse)

  • 휴대용 스마트기기의 확산과 함께 더욱 많은 사람들이 온라인 게임을 즐기고 있다. 그간 온라인 게임에 관한 연구는 이용자의 재사용의도를 증대시키는 요인에 주된 관심을 가졌고 부정적인 측면과 관련된 억제효과 등에 대한 연구는 미비하였다. 본 연구는 온라인 게임의 이용을 증대시키는 요인과 억제시키는 요인을 함께 고려한 연구모형을 제시하고 결과를 도출해냈다. 연구결과에 따르면 온라인 게임 부정사용 억제를 위한 (1) 억제정책은 온라인 게임 이용자의 즐거움과 환기에 미치는 영향력이 없지만, (2) 억제시스템은 즐거움과 환기에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며 (3) 온라인 게임 부정사용을 억제하는 환경에서도 이용자의 감정은 여전히 온라인 게임 재사용의도에 영향을 미친다. 이 연구결과는 온라인 게임의 건전한 이용을 유도하기 위해서는 강제적인 시스템적 억제보다는 이용자의 감정에 부정적인 영향을 주지 않는 억제정책수립, 교육을 통한 이용자의 인식변화 유도가 온라인 게임 활성화를 저해시키지 않으면서도 부정사용 억제가 가능한 전략임을 시사한다.

한국노인의 주관적 건강상태 인식 관련 요인 - 2016 국민건강영양조사 자료 분석 - (Factors Related to the Self-Rated Health Status among Korean Elderly - Analysis of the 2016 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey -)

  • This study examined the sociodemographic factors, health-related habits, chronic diseases, dietary habits, and nutrient intake according to the self-rated health status in a group aged over 65 years by analyzing the nationally representative Korean survey data. A total of 1,510 subjects were analyzed among the participants of the 2016 Korean National Health and Examination Survey (KNHANES). Statistical analyses for complex samples were performed using the SPSS software package (version 19.0) The study subjects were divided into two groups (healthy group vs. unhealthy group) based on their self-rated health status. The percentage of the healthy group was 66.5%. Gender, age, education level, household income, job (P<0.001, respectively), marital status, and basic living allowance (P<0.05, respectively) were significant sociodemographic variables of the self-rated health status. Alcohol consumption (P<0.01), aerobic physical activity, stress, quality of life, not feeling very well, depression and activity restriction (P<0.001, respectively) were also significant health-related variables of the self-rated health status. Blood glucose, anemia (P<0.05, respectively), and chewing problems (P<0.001) were significant chronic disease-related variables of the self-rated health status. Adequate intakes of protein, dietary fiber, phosphorus, thiamin, niacin, vitamin C (P<0.001, respectively), calcium, sodium, potassium (P<0.01, respectively), iron, vitamin A, and riboflavin (P<0.05, respectively) were also significant variables of the self-rated health status. In complex samples multiple logistic regression analysis, the self-rated health status was influenced significantly by the aerobic physical activity (P<0.01), stress level (P<0.05), depression (P<0.001), quality of life (P<0.001), not feeling very well (P<0.001), activity restriction (P<0.001), chewing problem (P<0.05), and adequate intake of iron (P<0.05). These results suggest that activity restriction, mental health, adequate iron intake, and physical activity may be associated with the self-rated health status in the elderly.

Effect of Bevacizumab Treatment in Cerebral Radiation Necrosis : Investigation of Response Predictors in a Single-Center Experience

  • Objective : Bevacizumab is a feasible option for treating cerebral radiation necrosis (RN). We investigated the clinical outcome of RN after treatment with bevacizumab and factors related to the initial response and the sustained effect. Methods : Clinical data of 45 patients treated for symptomatic RN between September 2019 and February 2021 were retrospectively collected. Bevacizumab (7.5 mg/kg) was administered at 3-week intervals with a maximum four-cycle schedule. Changes in the lesions magnetic resonance image (MRI) scans were examined for the response evaluation. The subgroup analysis was performed based on the initial response and the long-term maintenance of the effect. Results : Of the 45 patients, 36 patients (80.0%) showed an initial response, and eight patients (17.8%) showed delayed worsening of the corresponding lesion. The non-responders showed a significantly higher incidence of diffusion restriction on MRI than the responders (100.0% vs. 25.0%, p<0.001). The delayed worsening group showed a significantly higher proportion of glioma pathology than the maintenance group (87.5% vs. 28.6%, p=0.005). Cumulative survival rates with sustained effect were significantly higher in the groups with non-glioma pathology (p=0.019) and the absence of diffusion restriction (p<0.001). Pathology of glioma and diffusion restriction in MRI were the independent risk factors for non-response or delayed worsening after initial response. Conclusion : The initial response of RN to bevacizumab was favorable, with improvement in four-fifths of the patients. However, a certain proportion of patients showed non-responsiveness or delayed exacerbations. Bevacizumab may be more effective in treating RN in patients with non-glioma pathology and without diffusion restriction in the MRI.

A Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) Tat Cofactor Absent in Rodent Cells is a TAR-associated Factor

  • Background: Although Tat plays a role as a potent transactivator in the viral gene expression from the Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 long terminal repeat (HIV-1 LTR), it does not function efficiently in rodent cells implying the absence of a human specific factor essential for Tat-medicated transactivation in rodent cells. In previous experiments, we demonstrated that one of chimeric forms of TAR (transacting responsive element) of HIV-1 LTR compensated the restriction in rodent cells. Methods: To characterize the nature of the compensation, we tested the effects of several upstream binding factors of HIV-1 LTR by simple substitution, and also examined the role of the configuration of the upstream binding factor(s) indirectly by constructing spacing mutants that contained insertions between Sp1 and TATA box on Tat-mediated transactivation. Results: Human Sp1 had no effect whereas its associated factors displayed differential effects in human and rodent cells. In addition, none of the spacing mutants tested overcame the restriction in rodent cells. Rather, when the secondary structure of the chimeric HIV-1 TAR construct was destroyed, the compensation in rodent cells was disappeared. Interestingly, the proper interaction between Sp1 and TATA box binding proteins, which is essential for Tat-dependent transcription, was dispensable in rodent cells. Conclusion: This result suggests that the human-specific Tat cofactor acts to allow Tat to interact effectively in a ribonucleoprotein complex that includes Tat, cellular factors, and TAR RNA, rather than be associated with the HIV-1 LTR upstream DNA binding factors.

청소년 교정환자의 임상적 특성과 통제소재가 교정치료 협조도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Clinical Characteristics and Restriction Factors on Cooperation for Orthodontic Treatment in Adolescent Orthodontic Patients)

  • 청소년기 교정환자의 통제소재와 교정치료 협조도의 수준을 조사하고 그 관련성을 알아보고자 설문조사를 실시하였다. 경상남도 창원시 소재 3개 치과 병, 의원에서 교정치 료를 받고 있는 청소년 238명(남자 70명, 여자 168명)을 대상으로 실시한 연구조사의 결과는 다음과 같다. 청소년기 교정환자의 협조도 수준은 $4.1{\pm}0.39$로 나타났고, 교정치료를 결정하는 사건들에 대해서 외적 통제-부모의 영향이 강하다고 판단되는 환자일수록 교정치료 협조도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 통제소재 수준은 $3.49{\pm}0.37$로 나타났고 하위요인 중 내적 통제가 강하다고 판단되는 점수가 $4.46{\pm}0.53$으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 청소년기 교정환자의 내적 통제가 가장 높은 점수로 나타났지만, 실제 교정치료 협조도에 영향을 미치는 통제소재는 부모로 나타났다. 청소년기는 부모로부터 정서적 심리적 독립을 추구하면서도 미성년이기에 완전히 독립할 수 없고 아동에서 성인이 되어가는 과도기적 단계이기 때문에 부모의 영향이 크게 작용할 수 있다. 청소년 교정환자의 교정치료 협조도를 증진시키기 위해서는 환자와 부모의 유대관계를 파악할 필요가 있으며, 환자의 교정치료에 대한 태도나 심리 상태를 파악할 필요가 있겠다. 나아가, 성공적인 교정치료를 결정짓는 중요한 요인 중 하나인 교정환자의 협조도를 증진시킬 수 있는 여러 방법을 모색하기 위한 연구들이 필요하겠다.
