서비스 지향 컴퓨팅 환경에서 서비스 안정성 케이스 기반 자가 적응 방법 (Service-Dependability-Case based Self-Adaptation in Service-Oriented Environment)

  • 서비스 지향 시스템 환경에서는 하나의 독립된 시스템이 다른 시스템에서 제공하는 서비스를 사용함으로써 시스템의 목표를 달성한다. 이러한 시스템 환경에서는 사용중인 서비스의 품질 저하가 실시간으로 시스템 장애를 유발할 수 있다. 기존 자가 적응 방법들은 서비스의 품질 저하 발생 후 대처하는 fault tolerance 방식을 따르고 있기 때문에 서비스 품질 저하로 인한 피해 발생을 예방하지 못한다. 따라서, 자가 적응 시스템의 신뢰도를 보존하기 위해서는 사용 중인 서비스를 fault tolerance 방식의 품질 기반 적응이 아닌 서비스 안정성 케이스를 기반으로 자가 적응해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 보증 속성 표현 방법인 Goal Structuring Notation 모델링을 활용하여 서비스 안정성 케이스를 표현 및 분석하기 위한 방법과, 서비스 안정성 케이스 분석 결과에 따른 적응 조치 방법, 서비스 생명주기에 따른 서비스 안정성 케이스 기반 자가 적응 메커니즘 적용 방법, 서비스 안정성 케이스 기반 자가 적응을 위한 프레임워크 아키텍처를 제안한다.

Ultrasonic guided wave approach incorporating SAFE for detecting wire breakage in bridge cable

  • Ultrasonic guided waves have attracted increasing attention for non-destructive testing (NDT) and structural health monitoring (SHM) of bridge cables. They offer advantages like single measurement, wide coverage of acoustical field, and long-range propagation capability. To design defect detection systems, it is essential to understand how guided waves propagate in cables and how to select the optimal excitation frequency and mode. However, certain cable characteristics such as multiple wires, anchorage, and polyethylene (PE) sheath increase the complexity in analyzing the guided wave propagation. In this study, guided wave modes for multi-wire bridge cables are identified by using a semi-analytical finite element (SAFE) technique to obtain relevant dispersion curves. Numerical results indicated that the number of guided wave modes increases, the length of the flat region with a low frequency of L(0,1) mode becomes shorter, and the cutoff frequency for high order longitudinal wave modes becomes lower, as the number of steel wires in a cable increases. These findings were used in design of transducers for defect detection and selection of the optimal wave mode and frequency for subsequent experiments. A magnetostrictive transducer system was used to excite and detect the guided waves. The applicability of the proposed approach for detecting and locating wire breakages was demonstrated for a cable with 37 wires. The present ultrasonic guided wave method has been found to be very responsive to the number of brokenwires and is thus capable of detecting defects with varying sizes.

IEA 첨단채광시스템의 형상 및 특성에 관한 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on Configurations and Characteristics of IEA's Advanced Daylighting Systems)

  • New and innovative technologies for utilizing daylight in buildings have been developed for saving energies and improving visual environments. This study describes the most up-to date information available about the application and evaluation of advanced daylighting systems to enhance daylighting in non-residential buildings from IEA's Task 21. IEA's Task 21 consists on 4 subtasks such as "Performance Evaluation of Daylighting Systems(subtask A)", "Daylighting Responsive Controls(subtask B)", "Daylighting Design Tools(subtask C)" and "Case Studies(subtask D)". For the study, the configurations and characteristics of IEA's advanced daylighting systems are comparatively analyzed. As results, innovative daylighting systems are designed to redirect sunlight or skylight to areas which it is required without glare. These systems use optical devices that initiate reflection or refraction of sunlight and skylight. And they can be designed to actively track the sun or passively control the direction of sunlight and skylight. The comprehensive overview of innovative daylighting systems presented in this study helps designer to understand the advantages of daylighting in building and choose a suitable system for building in the earliest stage of the design process.

Identification and Functional Analysis of a Major QTL and Related Genes for Tiller Angle in Rice Using QTL Analysis

  • Tiller angle, defined as the angle between the main stem and its side tillers, is one of the main target traits selected inbreeding to achieve the ideal plant type and increase rice yield. Therefore, the discovery and identification of tiller angle-related genes can provide architecture and yield. In the present work, using QTL analysis hence a total of 8 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were detected based on the phenotype data of tiller angle and tiller crown width in two years. Among them, four QTLs (qTA9, qCW9, qTA9-1, qCW9-1) were overlapped at marker interval RM6235-RM24288 on chromosome 9 with a large effect value regarded as stable major QTL. Twenty tiller angle-related genes were selected from the target region and the relative gene expression levels were checked in five compact type lines, five spreading type lines, and their parental lines. Finally, OsSA URq9 which belongs auxin-responsive SMALL AUXIN UP RNA (SAUR) protein family was selected as a target gene. Overall, this work will help broaden our understanding of the genetic control of tiller angle and tiller crown width, and this study provides both a good theoretical basis and a new genetic resource for the breeding of ideal-type rice.

Whisper-tiny 모델을 활용한 음성 분류 개선: 확장 가능한 키워드 스팟팅 접근법 (Enhancing Speech Recognition with Whisper-tiny Model: A Scalable Keyword Spotting Approach)

  • The effective implementation of advanced speech recognition (ASR) systems necessitates the deployment of sophisticated keyword spotting models that are both responsive and resource-efficient. The initial local detection of user interactions is crucial as it allows for the selective transmission of audio data to cloud services, thereby reducing operational costs and mitigating privacy risks associated with continuous data streaming. In this paper, we address these needs and propose utilizing the Whisper-Tiny model with fine-tuning process to specifically recognize keywords from google speech dataset which includes 65000 audio clips of keyword commands. By adapting the model's encoder and appending a lightweight classification head, we ensure that it operates within the limited resource constraints of local devices. The proposed model achieves the notable test accuracy of 92.94%. This architecture demonstrates the efficiency as on-device model with stringent resources leading to enhanced accessibility in everyday speech recognition applications.

한국전통정원에 구현된 풍수미학 연구 - 고산 윤선도의 원림을 중심으로 - (Pungsu Aesthetics of Korean Traditional Garden - Focused on Kosan Yoon Sun-Do's Gardens in Mountain-)

  • 한국정원을 풍수적 시각으로 바라본 연구는 그다지 많지 않다. 엄밀히 말하자면 풍수 이론이 적용된 정원을 열거하기도 쉽지 않다. 그러나 한국정원, 특히 산수간에 조영된 전통원림을 풍수와 관련시켜 고찰해 볼 필요성은 분명히 있다. 그 까닭은 첫째, 풍수나 정원 모두 자연에 대한 인간 대응 방식 내지 태도의 산물이라는 점과 둘째, 입지와 차경상 주변 산수와의 어울림을 중시하게 되는 전통원림에서는 풍수적 안목이 유용하게 작용하였을 것이고 셋째, 보다 구체적인 증거로서 풍수의 비보적 처방에 정원 또는 정원적 요소가 직접적으로 다루어졌음에 기인한다. 이 글에서는 풍수와 한국정원과의 상관성을 풍수미학이라는 새로운 개념으로 고찰해 봄으로써 한국정원은 물론 풍수의 동시대적 의미와 효용을 풍부히 하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 고산 윤선도의 부용동과 금쇄동 원림에 구현된 풍수미학으로 풍수 형국에 입각한 공간 구도상의 틀과, 각 요처들 간의 시각구도에서 발견되는 감상 차원으로 나누어 고찰하였다. 전자는 보길도 섬 전체의 형국을 읽으면서 핵심 요처를 찾아내어 풍수적 의미를 부여한 것으로서 심적 이미지로서의 풍수형국이고, 후자는 각 요처에서 주변을 보다 편안한 시선으로 감상하도록 해주는 차경과 관련된 시각구도이다. 그렇게 탁월한 안목으로 풍수적 의미망과 미학 가득한 정원 부용동을 조영하면서 고산 윤선도는 아름다운 자연 속 체험을 예술로 승화시켰다고 할 수가 있다.

구획 화재에서 스프링클러 열 손실계수 변화에 따른 작동 시간 분석 (Analysis on the Effects of the Heat Loss Coefficient on the Operation Time of Sprinkler in Compartment Fire)

  • 본 연구에서는 구획 공간 화재 시 발열량이 급격히 변하는 조건에서 스프링클러헤드의 손실인자 변화에 따른 작동시간을 분석하였다. 이를 위해서 내화보드로 구성된 구획 공간의 크기가 폭 0.3 m, 세로 0.5 m, 길이 3.0 m인 구조물을 제작하고 헵탄(n-Heptane) 풀 화재 실험을 수행하여 구획 공간 내부의 온도 분포, 헵탄의 질량감소율 그리고 발열량을 산출하였다. 또한, Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) Version 6.5를 사용하여 실험 조건과 동일한 발열량을 가정하고 스프링클러헤드의 설치위치 및 손실인자(C-factor) 변화에 따른 작동 시간을 분석하였다. 그 결과 반응시간지수(Response Time Index, RTI)가 $100(m{\cdot}s)^{0.5}$이고 작동온도가 $72^{\circ}C$인 스프링클러는 화원 상층부의 기류 온도가 $100^{\circ}C$에서 $300^{\circ}C$로 상승하고, 기류의 속도가 약 0.7 m/s인 경우 C-factor = 0과 1일 때 스프링클러의 작동시간은 최소 30 s~60 s, C-factor = 3일 때 62 s에서 최대 92 s, C-factor = 5일 때 120 s 이상으로 나타났다.

농촌마을 계획.정비를 위한 농촌마을모델 형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application and Formation of the Rural Village Model for the Rural Village (Re)development)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the rural village model which is able to be applied to the rural village (re)development. The rural village model consists of five sector models land use model, residential unit model, public facilities allocation model, productive space arrangement model, road & green system model. The village model as a spatial structure needs modification/revision through the its application to various sites. The following are suggestions developed in the process of preparing a model for the Korean rural village. First, some indices presented in the land use model need to be further studied as the planning indices before implementing the rural village projects. Second, it is recomended that the image of a rural village needs to be created by developing the residential unit(6 households) as a planning development unit, And various residential unit models need to be suggested. Third, it is desirable to develop the double circulation system and green edge(1 m), and to introduce pedestrian road as much as possible for the amenity of the residential environment, Fourth, being located within walking distance from the existing village, new-introduced site should be developed as a interlinked and opened structure. The rural village model is useful in preparing the spatial structure for the village (re)development, and in finding the best design solution responsive to the conditions of a project site.

비정형 초고층건물의 코어 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Core Characteristics of Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings)

  • The history of tall buildings begins in 1853with the development of elevators. After the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century, the development of high-rise buildings will be carried out in earnest as a means to efficiently use the limited land of cities. The development, which began around Chicago, extended over a long period of time to Asia, maximizing the high competition. However, in the 2000s, not only was it high due to the development of construction and digital technology, but it also became competitive in eco-friendly elements and unstructured forms. High-rise building plans that have gained elemental and morphological diversity are completed by the interrelationships of various plans. Among them, it is important that the core plan has a reasonable approach from the initial planning stage as the basis for the vertical copper plan linking vertically-intensive functions. The cores should be designed to be clear and adequately responsive to changes in the shape of the building. This study aims to provide designers with a reasonable understanding of core planning by identifying core characteristics of irregular high-rise. In particular, we want to analyze the shape of the ground layer core and the relationship between the area and components of the ground layer core. The analysis results are as follows, classified according to the type or use of the building. Of the atypical forms composed of double bending, the TAPER-Curve and TWIST forms are the most distributed, and the plane and core shapes of the ground floor are the most commonly used. Based on the analysis of the validity of the ground floor cores by shape of the cores, the most commonly used forms for core shapes in the planning of the atypical high-rise are square, circular and Oval, and the most efficient oval cores and relatively inefficient ones when planned.

The Influence of Human Capital on GDP Dynamics: Modeling in the COVID-19 Conditions

  • COVID-19 struck labor markets around the world, exposing and exacerbating the gender inequalities within the human capital structure. The last, in its turn, jeopardizes the return of the national economies to the growth trajectory undermined by pandemic impact. The authors assume that COVID-19 disproportionately affected the employment rates of women and men, which led to increased gender inequality in the labor market, which, in turn, affected GDP growth rates in the EU. To prove this hypothesis two research questions are discovered: 1) whether there was a different correlation between the number of COVID-19 cases in the EU and indicators of the labor market for women and men; and 2) whether there was a link between the growth of gender inequality in the EU labor market and the GDP dynamics in these countries. The analysis of the correlation between the number of cases of COVID-19 and indicators of the labor market in the EU revealed faster growth of women's unemployment rates compared to men's ones as the COVID-19 incidence unfolded. Multiple linear regression and factor analysis have been used to investigate the influence of gender inequality in the labor market on GDP dynamics. Despite the methodological limitations, the proposed model is both a sound argument and an analytical basis in favor of gender-responsive economic recovery backed by the systematic and consistent gender equality policy of a government.
