This study examines the impact of severe weather on lean supply chains. First, this paper reviewed the literature on the disruptions and damages that severe weather events cause on supply chain. Then, several recent examples of lean supply chain disruptions due to severe weather were discussed. The results of the study indicated that the frequency of weather related disasters is increasing and extreme weather events will increase potential risks to supply chains. First, building organizational resilience will help firms look beyond efficiency and profits in managing lean supply chains. Second, the concept of sole sourcing may need rethinking to maintain a supply chain that is lean and resilient. Third, organizations must plan ahead for supply chains in unpredictable weather. Fifth, communication is a key for anticipating and avoiding the impact of severe weather. This study proposes of a set of strategies, both theoretical and practical, that business firms should develop to effectively prevent and respond to severe weather related disruptions in lean supply chains.

Design took a radical turn in the 1980's, deconstructing the rigid ideology of the Modernism, often with great humor. Contemporary representable Avant-garde designers, Philippe Starck and Ron Arad brazenly borrowed from the 'historical elements' of previous styles and created bio-morphic forms with whimsical names of furniture. This study is proposed to understand the diversity of contemporary design, by comparing these two furniture designers. It also covers the common factors in contemporary furniture design, and analyzes their individual differences and similarities in design. It helps to plan the foundation of design methods for 21C, and predict and respond to the future as a reference point. Philippe Starck links Romantic Rationalism within Minimal style and Ron Arad links Deconstructivism within High-tech style but both of them pursue of Organic concept design in their furniture through the concept of humanism. They are able to establish a base of contemporary furniture design by adapting new conceptual form, and design process for the general public.

Traditional Manufacturing method is push system by plan made in advance and Japanese manufacturing method represented by JUST-IN-TIME is pull system which respond's to the demand flexibly. Both have their pros and cons. In general, it is well understood that push system is faster than pull system in the sense of manufacturing speed. However, pull system such as JIT excelles dramatically in the sense of work in process. Therefore, this paper is trying to put together to get alternative which has the advantage of both system. The objective of the paper is to enhance the effect of built-in manufacturing system without paying extra cost by way of introducing the alternative of the pull-push manufacturing strategic operational method.

A simulated realistic virtual environment is inhabited by autonomous cyber-humans who play the roles of agents in events. A key element, which enables this realism, is the historical context formed by time and space. A knowledge-representation scheme, composed of both spatial and temporal aspects needed by the agent to respond to dynamically changing situations, is essential for the design of a realistic virtual agent. In this work, spatial and temporal aspects of dynamic situations in the virtual environment have been formalized as a key component of our knowledge-representation scheme. This scheme provides a mathematical framework to construct realistic virtual situations that change with time, and background knowledge for agents in the simulated environment to deduce new pieces of information and plan against changing situations.

As construction projects get bigger and more complex, communication and information flow among participants become key success factors of a project. Accordingly, construction projects to respond to these changes being made in the introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling). But as 2D drawings are still to be widely used in practical fields, it is very important that 2D drawing information could be easily and clearly projected from 3D BIM data. In this study suggest that efficiency of design phase in BIM-based construction projects for can cause confusion and additional work in traditional to BIM.

The ultimate objective of this research is to develop the technologies for the construction of 100-year housing as the first task for improving housing environments. The technological development of 100-year housing makes it possible to advance construction technologies and part development, to develop long-life housing with durability and Flexibility responding to customers' needs for future living space. At first, for this purpose, the applications according to the types of the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are proposed to respond to the life-cycle of near-future demographic and social structure, and the construction of the Mock-up House execute based on the location selected during the 2nd year and the basic plan. Then the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are advanced and proposed through evaluating the field applicability of the Mock-Up House.

Recently, the green business/IT-related issues such as $CO_2$ emission and energy consumption have become spread out rapidly through the world. EU, the United States, Japan and other developed countries are using IT-related environmental regulations as trade barriers. Korea which has high rate of IT exports needs to establish systematic strategies to respond to these environmental regulations. However, it is not easy to find the related research about making green business/IT strategies. This research aims to deduce the green business/IT strategy framework and the suitable green business/IT strategies for the Korean situation. The green business/IT strategy framework is constructed from the analysis of preceding researches and those of the green business/IT strategies of Japan, the United States, and EU. The Korean green business/IT strategies are deduced from survey of experts using Delphi method. We expect that the results contribute to establish the systematic policy and action plan to reduce $CO_2$ emission and energy consumption of IT industry.

Survey questionnaires were collected from broiler farmers and analysed in this study to find out ways to respond to the open international chicken trades-chicken marketing plan and market price control. Broiler farm production and management were analyzed and it was found that number of chicken produced per farm was related to systematic and strategic level of farming such as chicken housing, technical problems, and cost of production.

The aluminum chassis drive gear manufacturing process improvement has been very effective in both technical and economic aspects. Technology for Shear mold design technology, mold material selection and processing technology, and press molding technology has improved greatly overall. In the meantime, it is necessary to clarify the causes of defects that occur frequently due to lack of technology, Based on this, it is meaningful that it has secured the ability to respond to new product development and molding in the future. By applying these technologies, we plan to expand not only the drive gear chassis, but also various types of press forming such as frame, handle, various fastening parts of system window. In addition, the ability to develop precision products in the future is expected to become a driving force in further enhancing the competitiveness of companies.

In this study, using information technology, Active measures to enable e-commerce in agriculture is discussed. agricultural e-commerce to the consumer satisfaction surveys were conducted, too. In addition to, as a e-commerce features, informance, convenience, interface presented. After research results, I think information, convenience, interface is important to consumers. Consumers will be spent on activities having a new value. To respond to these consumers, Companies must evaluate the internal capabilities. and outside the assessment continuously. E-commerce will give an effective way to companies. And e-commerce will develop further in the future. Therefore, e-commerce will be done by the long-term plan.
