자기공명검사실 내 전자기파 차단이 이루어지지 않은 부속장치의 차폐에 관한 연구 (Study on the Electromagnetic Shielding of Accessory Device without Electromagnetic Shielding Technology in the Magnetic Resonance Room)

  • 본 연구는 자기공명검사실 내 전자기파가 나오는 부속장치를 대상으로 새로운 차폐방법을 적용하여 전자기파로 인한 인공물의 발생을 방지하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 차폐 기술이 적용되지 않은 환자 감시용 CCTV에 metal plating fiber 섬유로 제작된 새로운 차폐체를 적용하여, CCTV의 전원을 차단한 경우(type I)를 기준으로 전원을 차단하지 않은 경우(type II)와 차단하지 않은 상태에서 새로운 차폐 기술을 적용한 경우(type III)를 noise map을 획득하여 비교평가 하였다. 연구 결과, 유의한 차이가 존재하는 집단이 하나 이상 존재함을 알 수 있었으며 이를 바탕으로 사후분석을 시행한 결과 type I과 type III는 집단 1로 type II는 집단 2로 나타나 기준인 CCTV의 전원을 차단한 경우와 새로운 차폐 기술을 적용한 경우가 동일집단 임을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 검사실 내에서 추가적인 부속장치로 인해 전자기파가 발생할 경우 본 연구가 제시한 차폐체를 적용한다면 noise가 발생하지 않는 type I과 동일한 상태를 만들 수 있어 전자기파로 인한 인공물의 발생을 방지할 수 있으리라 판단된다.

링형 초음파모터의 고정자 해석 및 설계 (The Stator Analysis and Design of Ring Type Ultrasonic Motor)

  • This paper describes with the stator analysis and design of a ring type ultrasonic motor. The design for piezoelectric ceramic and elastic body of stator were calculated by using the finite element method (FEM) that consider the resonance frequency, vibration mode and coupling efficiency. Namely, such results were acquired the calculation result of the piezoelectric ceramic thickness 0.5[mm], elastic body thickness 2.0[mm], resonance frequency 51.8[kHz], vibration mode 7 order and coupling efficient 12.5[%], the outer and inner diameter of vibrator 50[mm], 38[m]. On the basis of such result, the ring type ultrasonic motor was manufactured. Also for driving characteristics of ring type ultrasonic motor, 2-phase inverter was constructed. Then the propriety of this paper was established from comparision of the simulation and an experiment results of the ring type ultrasonic motor.

측두하악관절 내장 환자의 관절원판과 관절원판 후조직의 자기공명영상 신호강도 (Magnetic resonance imaging signal intensity of temporomandibular joint disk and posterior attachment in patients with internal derangement)

  • Purpose: To analyze the possible association between magnetic resonance imaging signal intensity of temporomandibular joint disk and posterior attachment, and the type and extent of disk displacement, disk configuration, effusion and clinical signs in patients with internal derangement. Materials and Methods: Magnetic resonance images of the 132 temporomandibular joints of 66 patients with temporomandibular joint displacement were analyzed. The clinical findings were obtained by retrospective review of the patients' records. The type and extent of disk displacement, disk configuration and effusion were evaluated on the proton density MR images. The signal intensity from the anterior band, posterior band and posterior attachment were measured on MR images. The associations between the type and extent of disk displacement, disk configuration, effusion and clinical signs and the MR signal intensity of disk and posterior attachment were statistically analyzed by student's t-test. Results: Of 132 joints, 87 (65.9%) showed anterior disk displacement with reduction (ADR) and 45 (34.1%) showed anterior disk displacement without reduction (ADnR). The signals from posterior attachments were lower in joints with ADnR than those of ADR (p<0.05). The results showed statistically significant (p<0.05) association between the type and extent of disk displacement and disk configuration, and decreased signal intensity of posterior attachment. There were no statistical associations between pain, noise and limited mouth opening, and signal intensity of disk and posterior attachment. Conclusions: The average signal from posterior attachment was lower in joints with ADnR than that of ADR. The type and extent of disk displacement and disk configuration appeared to be correlated with the signal intensity from posterior attachment.

전달율 측정에 의한 점탄성재료의 복소탄성계수 추출시의 민감도 분석 (Sensitivity Analysis in the Estimation of Complex Elastic Modulus of Viscoelastic Materials by Transmissibility Measurements)

  • The complex Young's modulus of a viscoelastic material can be obtained as a function of frequency from the measurements of relative motion between the two ends of a bar-type specimen. Non-resonance method is usually used to obtain the complex Young's modulus over wide range of frequency including resonance points, while in resonance method information at resonance frequencies only is used. However, the complex Young's modulus obtained by the non-resonance method is often unreliable in the anti-resonance frequency regions because of the measurement noise problems. In this study, the effects of the random measurement errors on estimating the complex Young's modulus are studied in the aspect of sensitivity, and how to obtain the reliable frequency region for a given measurement error level is shown. The usable frequency regions in determining the complex Young's modulus are represented by a non-dimensional parameter formed with the wave length and specimen length.

Sensitivity simulation on isotopic fissile measurement using neutron resonances

  • Uranium and plutonium are required to be accounted in spent fuel head-end and major recovery area in pyro-process for safeguards purpose. The possibility of neutron resonance technique, as a nondestructive analysis, was simulated on isotopic fissile analysis for large scale process. Neutron resonance technique has advantage to distinguish uranium from plutonium directly in mixture. Simulation was performed on U235 and Pu239 assay in spent fuel and for scoping examination of assembly type. The resonance energies were determined for U235 and Pu239. The linearity in the neutron transmission was examined for the selected resonance energies. In addition, the limit for detection was examined by changing sample density, thickness and content for actual application. Several factors were proposed for neutron production and the moderated neutron source was simulated for effective and efficient transmission measurement. From the simulation results, neutron resonance technique is promising to analyze U235 and Pu239 for spent fuel assembly. An accurate fissile assay will contribute to an increased safeguards for the pyro-processing system and international credibility on the reuse of fissile materials in the fuel cycle.

  • A novel method to implement a birdcage-type receiving coil sensor for use in a magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) system has been demonstrated employing a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) fabrication technique. Unlike the conventional methods, the two-dimensional shape of the coil sensor is first implemented as a FPCB and then it is attached to the surface of a cylindrical supporting structure to implement the three-dimensional birdcage-type coil sensor. The proposed method is very effective to implement object-specific MRI coil sensors especially for small animal measurements in research and preclinical applications since the existing well-developed FPCB-based techniques can easily meet the requirements on accuracies and costs during coil implement process. The performances of the coil sensor verified through $^1H$ 1.5T MRI measurements for small animals and it showed excellent characteristics by providing a high spatial precision and a high signal-to-noise ratio.

Efficient Thermal Annealing for FBAR Devices

  • In this paper, the resonance characteristics of SMR-type FBAR devices annealed by three different annealing methods are investigated and compared. The resonance characteristics could be effectively improved by the proposed efficient annealing method which optimizes the annealing conditions. It seems very useful for improving the performance of the SMR-type FBAR devices as a cost-effective way.

자기공명영상사진 상에 나타난 측두하악관절원판의 형태 및 그에 따른 치료 효과의 분석 (Configuration of Temporomandibular Joint Articular Disc in Magnetic Resonance Images and its Relationship to Treatment Response of Anterior Disc Displacement Without Reduction)

  • The purposes of the study were (1) to see if there are various types of disc configuration in normal temporomandibular joint and, if so, (2) to examine whether a specific type of disc configuration is susceptible to disc displacement, and (3) to see if a specific type of disc configuration and position is related to early relief of clinical symptoms from the anterior disc displacement without reduction to conservative treatment. From the magnetic resonance (MR) images taken for the patients with symptoms of temporomandibular disorders, 235 images as normal joint group, 255 images as anterior disc displacement with reduction group, and 249 images as anterior disc displacement without reduction group were selected, After the TMJ image was scanned and processed with Photoshop program, the disc configuration was determined, The incidence of various types of disc configuration was analyzed according to age, sex, diagnostic group, and the promptness of symptom relief. The disc position was also examined in relation to the promptness of symptom relief. The results were as follows : 1. In the normal joint group, biconcave type appeared most frequently and reversed, biplanar type in order, Posterior band enlarged and folded type didn't appear at all. On the other hand, in the anterior disc displacement without reduction group, folded type appeared most frequently and also posterior band enlarged type were found often. 2. There were statistically significant differences between sex and configuration of disc in the normal joint group and no statistically significant differences in the anterior disc displacement with reduction group and anterior disc displacement without reduction group, 3. There were no statistically significant differences between age and configuration of disc in the normal, anterior disc displacement with reduction group and anterior disc displacement without reduction group. 4. In anterior disc displacement without reduction group, rapid response was observed in biconcave and reversed type and delayed response was observed in folded type.

유니몰프 PZT 액츄에이터를 이용한 정밀 이송기구의 개발 (Development of Precision Moving Instrument by Using the Uni-morph type PZT Actuator)

  • This paper presents a new precision moving instrument for the displacement and direction control using the uni-morph type PZT actuator. The instrument is composed of the two-body and a link. The body has the uni-morph type PZT actuator, which make the vibration. Movement of simple moving instrument is generally analyzed by the theory of center-of-gravity moment. However the analysis of the instrument in this paper is focused the resonance of instrument. Resonance of the body is originated a uni-morph type PZT actuator that is vibrated by voltage and frequency. The basic performances of one body instrument are analyzed by the FEM analysis. And experiments are also performed to confirm the linear movement of the instrument and direction control. it is proper a voltage control than a frequency control for the direction changing. And Moving velocity is 0.032m/s.

성덕대왕신종을 위한 가변형 명동의 설계 (Design of a Variable Resonator for the Sacred Bell of the Great King Seongdeok)

  • 본 연구는 성덕대왕신종의 공명효과를 극대화시키기 위하여 계절에 따른 기온의 차이를 보정할 수 있는 가변형 명동의 설계 모델을 제시한다. 성덕대왕신종의 종소리에서는 64 Hz의 1차 고유진동수와 168 Hz의 2차 고유진동수가 가장 중요한 성분이다. 두 주파수 성분을 대상으로 종체 공동, 간극, 명동으로 구성된 내부 음향공동계의 공명조건을 구한다. 이를 위하여 SYSNOISE를 이용한 경계요소해석을 통하여 내부공동의 음향 주파수응답 특성을 구한다. 외적요소로, 계절에 따른 기온 차이는 공명 조건에 크게 영향을 미친다. 그 결과 공명효과를 극대화시키는 명동의 길이는 계절에 따라 달라져야 한다. 이를 고려하여 본 연구에서는 기온 변화에 맞추어 명동의 길이를 종의 설치 현장에서 쉽게 조절할 수 있는 가변형 명동의 설계 모델을 제시한다.
