  • CIIR에 BR, SBR 및 NBR을 다양한 조성으로 혼합하여 블렌드물의 마찰계수와 내마모특성 및 물리적 특성 변화 등을 검토하였다. 영구압축줄음율 측정에서 블렌드비율 25%에서 가장 높은 값을 나타내어 변형에 대한 저항 특성이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. SBR, NBR, BR이 CIIR에 블렌딩됨에 따라 블렌드물의 마찰계수는 산술평균적으로 저하하는 경향을 나타내었다. 마찰력 향상을 위하여 BR에 CIIR을 블렌딩하는 경우 마찰계수 증가에 의한 접지력 향상보다는 내마모 성능 저하에 의한 마이너스효과가 더욱 큰 것으로 나타났다.

원자로배수탱크내 Sparger에 대한 유동특성 및 최적설계 (Flow Characteristics and Optimal Design for RDT Sparger)

  • A numerical analysis for ROT sparger of PWR(Pressurized Water Reactor) is carried out. Computation is performed to investigate the flow characteristics as the change of design factor. As the result of this study, RDT sparger's flow resistance coefficient is K=3.53 at the present design condition if engineering mar&in is considered with 20%, and flow ratio into branch pipe is $Q_s/Q_i=0.41$. Velocity distribution at exit is not uniform because of separation in branch pipe. In the change of inlet flow rate and section area ratio of branch pipe for main pipe, flow resistance coefficient is increased as $Q_s/Q_i$ decreasing, but in the change of branch angle and outlet nozzle diameter of main pipe, flow resistance coefficient is decreased as $Q_s/Q_i$ decreasing. As the change rate of $Q_s/Q_i$ is the larger, the change rate of flow resistance coefficient is the larger. The change rate of pressure loss is the largest change as section area ratio changing. The optimal design condition of sparger is estimated as the outlet nozzle diameter ratio of main pipe is $D_s/D_i=0.333$, the section area ratio is $A_s/A_i=0.2$ and the branch angle is ${\alpha}=55^{\circ}$.

  • To stop the train safely within the limited traveling distance and reduce its speed to the desired speed, it is necessary to guarantee the correct braking force. Presently, most trains have electric propulsion system and have adopted combined electrical and mechanical(friction) braking system. The friction coefficient between brake disc and pad is an important parameter in determining the mechanical braking force. In general, friction coefficient data of braking material have been taken through the dynamo-test in a laboratory. This study have suggested two methodologies that can measure friction coefficient of braking material on the train's actual operating condition. The first is the direct method; measure the brake force and the clamping force applied on the mechanical brake by using strain gauges installed at the brake disk, and then calculate it. The second method is the indirect method; obtain the friction coefficient by using the train load and the equivalent brake force which is deducted the longitudinal force, such as resistance to motion, gradient resistance and curved resistance, from the inertia force applied to the train.

HDPE 가교 결합과 계면 접착력 변화에 따른 PTC 특성 연구 (Effects of Interfacial Adhesion and Chemical Crosslinking of HDPE Composite Systems on PTC Characteristics)

  • 접착성이 없는 고밀도 폴리에틸렌 (HDPE)과 나노입자 카본블랙 복합체를 대상으로 전극과의 계면 접착 향상과 고분자 가교 특성에 따른 양온도 계수 (PTC) 특성을 연구하였다. 은페이스트를 전극으로 사용하였을 때에는, 전극과 HDPE의 접착 계면 저항으로 인하여 카본함량이 45 wt% 이상에서 1 $\Omega$ 이었으나, 덴드라이트 (dendrite)된 구리 전극의 경우 HDPE와 전극간의 넓은 면적 접촉에 의한 계면 저항이 0.2 $\Omega$ 이하였다. HDPE와 은페이스트의 계면 저항의 증가로 인하여 구리 박막을 사용하였을 때보다 전체적으로 저항이 높게 나타났다. HDPE와 나노입자 카본블랙 복합체는 온도가 증가하여 HDPE의 비캣연화온도까지는 저항이 일정하게 유지하다가, HDPE의 연화점에서 증가하기 시작하여 용융점에서 극대 값을 나타내는 전형적인 PTC특성을 보여주었다. 일반적으로 HDPE의 용융점을 넘어서면 음온도 계수 (NTC) 현상이 나타나는데, 가교결합을 시킨 HDPE의 경우는, 용융점 이상에서 NTC 현상이 나타나지 않고 저항이 일정하게 유지되거나 증가하는 경향이 나타났다. 구리 (copper) 전극과 고분자와의 계면 접촉 면적을 증가시키기 위하여 크롬 (chromium)을 덴드라이트시킨 전극을 사용하여 계면 접촉 저항을 감소시켰다.

개수로 다열기둥에 대한 상당저항계수의 측정 (Measurement of the Equivalent Resistance Coefficient for Multi-piers in Open Channel)

  • 개수로 난류흐름내 잠기지 않는 저항체들이 에너지 손실에 미치는 영향을 수리실험을 통해 연구하였다. 개수로의 잠기지 않는 구조물이나 식생을 연구하기 위하여 정방형 다열기둥을 실험에 사용하였다. 실험수로에 흐름방향 다열기둥을 횡방향으로 1열 및 2열로 배치하고 평균적 등류수위를 유지하여 일련의 유량과 수로경사를 조건으로 실험을 수행하고 측정하였다. 실험결과를 Manning공식에 적용하여 바닥마찰과 기둥의 형상저항에 의한 흐름저항 및 에너지손실을 표현하는 상당저항계수 값을 등류수심과 기둥의 이격거리를 변화시키며 산정하였다. 그리고 실험을 통해 산정된 값과 항력상호작용계수를 포함하는 운동량방정식으로부터 유도된 상당저항계수의 이론식과 비교하였다. 이론식과 실험치의 비교로부터 기둥에 의한 흐름저항의 상호작용이 수로전체의 에너지손실에 미치는 영향이 매우 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 기둥폭에 대한 기둥이격거리가 약 2.2배 이하 일 때 값이 감소하며, 항력상호작용계수가 기둥이격거리에 지배적으로 의존한다는 사실로 부터 이론식에 나타난 값이 등류수심에 2/3승으로 증가함이 유효함을 알 수 있었다.

Study on the characteristic of high precision thin film resistor

  • The characteristic of thin film resistor with low TCR( temperature coefficient of resistance ) and high precision are studied. The thin film resistor for 1/4W was fabricated and characteristic of these resistors was investigated. The fabricated device had the thickness of $2.48{\leqq}$ and the resistivity of $0.27{\omega}mm$. The electrical characteristic was evaluated by HP 4339B and 4284A instruments with HP l6339A. The profile of trimmed structure was also measured by non contact interferometer. The change of resistance and TCR increased with increasing roughness and resistance. To reduce the effect of stress annealing treatment was performed in the range of 563 to 623 K after trimming. The characteristic was improved after annealing. It is expected the fabricated device can be useful for high precision and low TCR. Fabricated thin film resistor has average deviation of resistance less than $0.35{\%}$ and TCR within 60.60ppm/K.

Hydrodynamic Hull Form Design Using an Optimization Technique

  • A design procedure for a ship with minimum resistance had been developed using a numerical optimization method called SQP (Sequential Quadratic Programming) combined with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique. The frictional resistance coefficient was estimated by the ITTC 1957 model-ship correlation line formula and the wave-making resistance coefficient was evaluated by the potential-flow panel method with the nonlinear free surface boundary conditions. The geometry of the hull surface was represented and modified by B-spline surface modeling technique during the optimization process. The Series 60 ($C_B$=0.60) hull was selected as a parent hull to obtain an optimized hull that produces minimum resistance. The models of the parent and optimized hull forms were tested at calm water condition in order to demonstrate the validity of the proposed methodolgy.

Pullout resistance of concrete anchor block embedded in cohesionless soil

  • The anchor block is a specially designed concrete member intended to withstand pullout or thrust forces from backfill material of an internally stabilized anchored earth retaining wall by passive resistance of soil in front of the block. This study presents small-scale laboratory experimental works to investigate the pullout capacity of a concrete anchor block embedded in air dry sand and located at different distances from yielding boundary wall. The experimental setup consists of a large tank made of fiberglass sheets and steel framing system. A series of tests was carried out in the tank to investigate the load-displacement behavior of anchor block. Experimental results are then compared with the theoretical approaches suggested by different researchers and codes. The appropriate placement of an anchor block and the passive resistance coefficient, which is multiplied by the passive resistance in front of the anchor block to obtain the pullout capacity of the anchor, were also studied.

접촉 열저항을 고려한 합금주조의 응고과정 해석 (An analysis on the solidification process of alloy casting with a contact resistance)

  • The solidification process of Al 4.5%Cu alloy is numerically studied in the presence of contact resistance between mold and cast. Natural convection is considered in the liquid and mushy regions. The porosity approach is applied to the mushy zone modeling and linear variation of the solid fraction on the temperature is assumed. Results show that the mushy region is wider in the case with a contact resistance compared to the perfect contact condition. The temperature of the cast with a temporal variation in the contact heat transfer coefficient changes very rapidly in the early stage of the casting process compared to that with constant contact heat transfer coefficient.

저항 온도계수와 방열 구조설계에 따른 션트 고정 저항의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Temperature Coefficient of Resistance and Heat Radiation Structure Design for Shunt Fixed Resistor)

  • In this study, we designed the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and heat radiation properties of shunt fixed resistors by adjusting the atomic composition of a metal alloy resistor, and fabricated a resistor that satisfied the designed properties. Resistors with similar atomic composition of copper and nickel showed low TCR and excellent shunt fixed resistor properties such as short-time overload, rated load, humidity load, and high temperature load. Finally, we expect that improved sensor accuracy will be obtained in current-distribution-type shunt fixed resistor for IoT sensors by designing the atomic composition of the metal alloy resistor proposed in this work.
