An investigation into power conditioners that interface with photovoltaic array and utilities has been completed. The rating for this investigation is residential system(3-5kW) that interface with a 220V single phase utility connection. As the result of this investigation, a 3kW high frequency PWM IGBT inverter feeding a high frequency isolation transformer with a sinusoidal current wave was selected. The output of the transformer rectified with a diode bridge rectifier, four IGBT, used as 60Hz switched, reverse the polarity of the rectified current on every other half cycle of the utility voltage. Even though the high frequency link system used more power semiconductors, a net size, weight, and parts cost saving result compared to the other systems due to elimination of 60Hz transformer.

The purpose of this study was to find the degree of satisfaction of the Korean elderly with their existing residential environment and their propensity to move. The data were collected through interviews and structured questionnaires. The subjects were 1,200 nationwide elderly over the age of 60 selected by probability sampling proportionate to size. cluster and random sampling method. The data were analyzed with frequency. percentage. and $X^2$-test using the SAS package. The major findings were as follows: Most subjects were satisfied with their housing environment and had no intention of moving. The subjects were highly satisfied with their residential environment. did not tend to move. Recently, by applying the 4th industrial revolution technologies such as A.I., IoT, and big data to general residential infrastructure, various application services of residential-based are provided to residents through linkage and utilization between technologies. Accordingly, smart housing system is increasing as advanced living spaces that can improve the quality of life and convenience of residents. Such a smart housing is expected to be an item that can create new demands and markets in the construction industry since it provides a new paradigm that combines construction technology and IT by combining IT technology with existing construction industry. Based on this, it is expected that it will be possible to gradually develop large-scale markets such as smart buildings and smart cities. In this paper, therefore, we propose an artificial intelligence multiplex smart housing system as an intelligent platform that can autonomously manage and control the size of places and spaces, used for various purposes based on smart housing technology by using artificial intelligence systems.

The rapid rural urban migration and aging has generated an over-depopulation problems in rural areas since the 1980s. The purpose of this study constructs the marginal size of rural over-depopulated village through the analysis of the residential disparities such as farmer's ratio, basic life service accessibility, and levels of social and economic factors for each village community. This marginal scale could support evaluating diverse rural policies, which have been planned to apply to the rural development programs at the village level. The major challenges for over-depopulated villages are the lack of basic facilities, production infrastructures and inactive communities in the village. Therefore, the quantitative analysis of rural residential disparities according to rural village scale can provide the criteria for rural over-depopulated villages. We utilized Korea Agricultural Survey Data(2010) including specific residential condition of village level. The present study adopt multinomial-logit model for quantitative analysis of different village scales and decomposition techniques to separate the direct effect by the village scale factor from the endowment effects by regional or area characteristics, and residual effect by unknown factors. The present study found that the minimum scale of a rural over-depopulated village was 40 and 60 houses for the respective conditions of farmer's ratios less than 50% and greater than 75%. It was concluded based on the study findings that threshold scale could support evaluating the diverse rural policies, which have been planned to apply to the rural development programs at the village level.

The primary purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of land use change at the urban fringe. For this purpose, the Daegu Metropolitan City is selected as a study area. Land use changes between 1990 and 2000 in fringe areas are identified by processing Landsat TM5 imageries. The main findings are follows: First, land development has been driven by residential development, especially large-scale residential development encouraged by the two-million housing construction plan. Second, the type and size of the land use conversion are not identical across the study area. For example, the main land use type of the newly developed area of Buk-gu is residential use while that of Suseong-gu is public use. Third, most of residential development type is a high-density development which is quite different from American type of low-density development.
In recent rural areas, unlike the past, the young population is increasing with the growth of the agricultural industry and the quality of life-focused trend. Therefore, the rural areas need to more actively respond to the housing demands of the young generations. In this regard, this study aimed to research the housing conditions of the households with children and identify any problems. The study targeted 16 families with children in Deokpo-ri, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon Province. The research was conducted based on the on-site case study, specifically face-to-face in-depth interview and on-site monitoring using the checklist by residential spaces. The research findings are as follows: The discovered issues include the storage size and safety issues in the movement space, failure to provide the space tailored to the characteristics of the children and the insufficient size and storage space in the living space and the size and safety issues in the sanitary space. Overall, it was identified that small and insufficient storage space in the house pointed out as the main issue in this research was getting the residents' life more uncomfortable and unreasonable, and the activities of the children made their parents do unnecessary behaviors and stressed out during the process of childrearing. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the space arrangement considering the organizing system, caring system and the behavioral characteristics of the children during the process of child-rearing.
