  • Recently, Environmental friendliness and sustainability become the main concern of residential area planning. This paper deals with the estimation indicator system for environmentally friendliness of residential areas. An interview survey was carried out for resident groups by the type of housing. 'Environmentally friendly residential site' is defined as 'A site of sustainable development with low undesirable impact on environment, friendliness to natural environments such as green areas and waters, and amenity, health & hygiene of residents' Totally, nineteen individual indicators, six categories and three principles(Low Impact, High Contact, Amenity & Health) were proposed as estimation indicator system. Residents showed high importance on principle of 'amenity & health'. Individual indicators such as 'garbage segregated collection', 'secure green areas' and 'cleanness of water and air' showed high weighting value by each principles. Satisfaction level of residents for individual indicators, such as 'garbage segregated collection', 'common gardens', and 'cleanness of residential areas', were comparatively high. By the result of factor analysis, the proposed model for indicator system was valid.

  • Purpose: This study aims to understand the types and amounts of greenhouse gases among substances generated when operating facilities at resource recovery facilities in Seoul and analyze their impact on the environment. Research design, data and methodology: As a research method, you can directly visit four resource recovery facilities in Seoul, investigate greenhouse gases generated when operating the facilities, and then understand the distribution of generation through the greenhouse gas calculation formula. In addition, the impact, distribution, etc. that they have regionally can be confirmed by comparing the emission source and the surrounding site boundary line through the environmental impact survey report Results: When operating resource recovery facilities, you can determine whether there is a possibility that they will actually affect the surrounding areas, especially in areas where humans reside, such as private homes and vulnerable facilities, and if so, the results can be determined. The goal of this study is to understand how much the effects of greenhouse gases contribute to climate change and what the effects are on the human body. Conclusions: he results of this study can identify the causes of negative images of the survival of resource recovery facilities and the expansion and establishment of new resource recovery facilities, and suggest eco-friendly measures such as waste export, recycling, and recycling instead of new construction on the impact on climate change.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the sociodemographic and health characteristics on the out-of-pocket health spending of the individuals aged 20 and older in Korea. Methods : We used the data from the 2001 National Public Health and Nutrition Survey. The final sample size was 26,154 persons. Multiple linear regression models were used according to the age groups, that is, one model was used for those people under the age of sixty-five and the other was used for those people aged sixty-five and older. In these analyses, the expenditures were transformed to a logarithmic scale to reduce the skewness of the results. Results : Out-of-pocket health expenditures for those people under the age of 65 averaged 14,800 won per month, whereas expenditures for those people aged 65 and older averaged 27,200 won per month. In the regression analysis, the insurance type, resident area, self-reported health status, acute or chronic condition and bed-disability days were the statistically significant determinants for both age groups. Gender and age were statistically significant determinants only for the non-elderly. Conclusions : The findings from this study show that the mean out-of-pocket health expenditures varied according to the age groups and also several diverse characteristics. Thus, policymakers should consider the out-of-pocket health expenditure differential between the elderly and non-elderly persons. Improvement of the insurance coverage for the economically vulnerable subgroups that were identified in this study should be carefully considered. In addition, it is necessary to assess the impact of out-of-pocket spending on the peoples' health care utilization.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the impact of the quality of oral health life of elders to determine the plan for promotion of health. the survey was conducted targeting 365 elders who are resident of Dae-Gu from 1st of May every month. The structural elements of the quality of oral health were the physical function, social features and psychological function. Physical functions and psychological functions that are smoking, drinking, subjective oral health and oral health concern had positive influence and social features which are gender, smoking, drinking, the interest and subjective oral health, work ability and regualar dental check up had positive impact Oral health-related quality of life of the elderly and to promote more efforts to improve oral health behavior is more important than what can be for their own oral health behavior actions required to achieve the desired results expected for the belief to encourage a systematic elderly oral health education program development and is considered to require constant attention.

  • This study was performed to identify the impact of awareness and educational experiences on cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the ability to execute of cardiopulmonary resuscitation among Korean adults. This study used original data of 2014 Community Health Data Survey. 228,712 participants in this survey were resident in South Korea who is aged 19 or older on July 2014. Participants in this survey were sampled an average of 900 residents(target error ${\pm}3percent$) per community health center of Korea. Data were analyzed by using R 3.1.3 employing chi-squared test, fisher's exact analysis, and logistic regression analysis. Ability to execute CPR was significantly higher in males(3.34 time), higher the education level (1.61 times), the white color occupation (1.14 times), the higher the income level (1.07 times), the higher the education level (0.91 times), non-hypertensive patients (1.12 times), non-diabetic patients (1.16 times), non-dyslipidemic patients (0.86 times), non-stroke patients (0.30 times), CPR education experience group (3.25 times), CPR experience group with manikin-based training (4.30 times), higher subjective health status (1.08 times, 1.16 times) respectively. This study identified that awareness, educational experience, and mannequin-based learning experience of CPR impacted on the ability to execute CPR. Responding to education-related factors could contribute to reducing the rate of out-of-hospital acute cardiac arrest by improving the ability to execute CPR of the general public.
