For this study, 210 silver town residents were surveyed; however, 16 of these resident did not complete the survey. Therefore, the results of 194 survey questionnaires were analyzed. All results were conducted using the frequency, factor analysis, and regression procedure of SPSS 12.0. The determinant factors of the silver town feeding service included food service, food feeding, emotional, physical, and sensory characteristics of the senior citizens. Among these, food service, food feeding, emotional, and sensory characteristics of the respondents had a significant effect on their level of satisfaction. In addition, satisfaction of the residents was affected by word of mouth. • "Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Development (ESSD)" is a key word in recent years. The construction industry, have put a great influence on ergonomic and sustainable environment. Recently, "green building certifications", such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and eco-friendly material regulation have been established. With this regard, new construction and aged-housing remodeling projects are required to meet these certification criteria. Multi-housing residents have great concern on eco-product, since many cases are reported that Sick Building Syndrome is caused by toxic substance from building materials. Aged-housing remodeling project is very unique in that building residents are selected prior to design phase. Therefore, the analysis of resident's need for building materials in aged-housing remodeling is relatively easy compared to new building construction. As such, it is very important to analyze their preferences for eco-friendly materials prior to project execution. The purpose of this study is to find the needs of residents and priority of their needs. Based on their needs and priority, this paper provides a new strategy in using environment-friendly materials and maximizing their satisfaction level when aged housing remodeling is constructed. In addition, this paper provide new criteria in selecting new developed environmental materials in remodeling projects for the purpose of improving the safety and health level in construction industry.

  • With the increasing demand for improving the quality of life of the people, the need for resident-friendly use and management of rivers is increasing. This study develops an indicator that can measure the performance of the multi-faceted function of the river that the general population can appraise, and in particular, the subjective satisfaction of residents. Based on related prior studies and case analysis, a draft indicator system covering maintenance of river facilities for flood control, water use, environment protection, and water-friendly use functions was established. Through a factor analysis adopting PCA extraction method and VARIMAX rotation method and survey, a performance indicator system consisting of three areas, six detailed areas, and 24 items is drawn. Also, the developed indicators are applied to national and local rivers in Daejeon to suggest implications through comparative analysis.

  • It's necessary to judge between success and failure of a project in order to secure the objective evaluation index and the transparency of that. In case of the public works including a construction section, the large-scale budget input proceeds, but the awareness regarding the efficiency and usefulness of the public works is decreasing because it's hard to estimate benefit originated from the results of the budget input. Therefore, this study is to propose the measurement standard for the post-evaluation based on the list of the resident response degree and user satisfaction degree to systematically and quantitatively measure the results of the post-evaluation for the public projects within the range of quantifying the consumer satisfaction degree for the facilities which preform the post-evaluation among the public projects with 50 billion budget.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the quality in medical records by analyzing its completeness through setting up the level of record on the patient's past history and through examining the actual medial records. Targeting the information on the patient's past history in interns' records, residents' records and nurses' records toward 403 inpatients who were admitted first in 2004 at an university hospital due to stomach cancer. We analyzed whether the charts were recorded or not, recording level, the satisfaction with the expectant level of the records in the hospital targeted for a research and the level of agreement. The results were as follows; first, as for the rate of recording those each items, they were high in the chief complaint & present illness and the past illness history. Depending on the group of recorders, the recording rate showed big difference by items. Second, as a result of measuring the level after dividing the recording level of items for the patient's past history from Level 1 to Level 4 by each item, the admission history, the past illness history, and the family history were about Level 3, and the smoking history, the medication history, the chief complaint & present illness, the drinking history and allergy were about Level 2. In the admission department, it was excellent in the interns' records for the medical department. Third, as a result of its satisfactory level by comparing the expect level of a record and the actual record by item in information on the patient's past history, which was expected by the medical-record committee members of the hospital targeted for a study. And forth, we analyzed the level of agreement with Kappa score in the level of 'Yes' or 'None' related to the corresponding matter in Level 1, in terms of information on the past history in the intern's record, the resident's record, and the nurse's record. The level of agreement in the resident's record & the nurse's record, and in the intern's record & the resident's record was from "excellent" to "a little good". There were differences in the level of completeness and in reliability for the information on the past history by the recorder group or by the admission department. The encounter process that was performed by the admission department or the recorder group, indicated the result that was directly reflected on the quality of medical records, thus it was required further study about the medical record documentation process and quality of care. The items that showed the high recording rate quantitatively were rather low, consequently we'd should develop the tool for the qualitative inspection and evaluate the medical records further. And the items were needed to be detailed in the record level were rather low, and hence there needed to be a documentation guideline and education by the clinical departments.

  • The current study was conducted to produce basic data for the policy establishment to improve the life satisfaction of residents in regional communities. The study subjected total 1,400 residents living in youngnam province in our nation for the survey by using convenience sampling. The survey took about 4 months started from March 1, 2007 to June 30, 2007. The abstract and conclusion of the result could be summarized as in below. 1. In subjective health status, 45.4% responded as normal, and the health status scored $2.68{\pm}0.67$ in 5 point scale(53.6 in 100 point scale). 2. The level of life satisfaction was found to show the score of $19.57{\pm}3.39$ in 30 point scale(65.2 in 100 point scale). Characteristically, the highest score was found in male in both age groups younger than 19 and in 20s, but lowest score was found in the age group in 40s(p<0.001). In the level of life satisfaction, 29.6% responded as satisfactory and 11.9% responded as not satisfactory. 3. In reviewing the life satisfaction by the health related characteristics, 65.7% of whom responded as very healthy answered satisfactory in life, and the life satisfaction was significantly high in peoples who do not smoke. However, the level was significantly higher in alcohol drinker than no alcohol drinker. People who have enough sleep tended to satisfy in their life, and the life satisfaction level of whom have leisure turned out to show superiorly high satisfaction level. 4. As the variables affecting on the life satisfaction, sex, age, education level, marital status, health status, stress level, life satisfaction level, healthy life activities and depression level were found, and the influence of these variables was 19.6%. As the above results demonstrate, the life satisfaction of residents in regional community was proportional to health status and highly affected by daily health life. So, the more attentions have to be made on health management and the self effort should not be neglected. Especially, since stress, depression level and leisure life did have effects on life satisfaction, more attentions have to be made on stress solving and on the development of leisure life programs. For the goal, the governments, related private organizations and specialized workforces have to make integrated efforts along with the health improvement project in large perspectives.
