  • The main purpose of this study is to present the strategies for strengthening the leadership of field supervisors to effectively prevent construction accidents. To this end, first, this research study reviewed the meanings, functions, types and characteristics of the leadership of field supervisors in safety management activities on construction sites through the literature review. Second, the researcher investigated the types of supervisors' leadership and the level of field safety management activities through questionnaires. Third, the types of supervisors' leadership are categorized by that level. Fourth, the leadership type of field supervisors is suggested to effectively prevent construction accidents. Finally, the strategies to promote supervisors' leadership are developed.

  • Concrete structures move wholly with concrete and rebar, so they endure external force, but recently the embedded rebar in concrete has been corroded by environmental, physical and chemical factors. the embedded rebar corrosion influences concrete structure to deteriorate structure capacity. To revaluate effect to deterioration of concrete structure according to corrosion of rebar, the researcher mostly examined into corrosion rebar and complex relation of concrete. In that there are flexural strength deterioration of corrosion concrete structure and the bond strength of concrete. But It has not sufficiently studied about physical characteristic of corrosion rebar itself. In this study I will compare specification of rebar through corrosion experiment with corrosion ratio of rebar according to diameter and revaluate. And I will investigate the effect to strength characteristic of rebar according to corrosion ratio.

  • The purpose of this study is to comparatively analyze the designs selected in the competition and those executed actually for the public libraries and thereupon, check if competition winner architects' original intentions were maintained or not, and thereby, review the details of changed designs and their causes, and thus, provide some basic data useful to architectural planning and design of future public libraries. For this purpose, researcher sampled 5 public libraries designed and constructed through competition in Seoul and Gyeong-In area since 2000, and thereupon, comparatively analyzed the selected designs and executed ones to review the details and causes of changed designs and determine the characteristics of the spatial planning for the public libraries.

  • Since metallic foam will increase the performance of heat exchanger, it have caused many researcher's attention recently. Our research base on the model that metallic foams applied to heat exchanger. In this case, there is three kind of heat transfer mechanisms, heat conduction in fibers, heat transfer by conduction in fluid phase, and internal heat change between solid and fluid phases. In this paper, we first discuss the acceptance of applying thermal equilibrium among the two phases. then to calculate the dimensionless temperature profile along 7 metallic foams. The 7 samples have different characteristics, such as area ratio, effective conductivity, porosity, etc.

  • Process intensification without any increase in bed requires the exploitation of fluid mechanical phenomena as the basis for elegant solutions to the process engineering problems which result from the need to retain and control the immobilized biomass, and for biomass recovery. The fluidized bed biological reactor provides a solution to these needs. The wastewater treatment characteristics of the fluidized bed was filled with sand media. Indirect aeration were studied experimentally. The researcher was filled with sand particle size(0.60~0.42mm) in three reactors with different section area(A)/height(H), in the state BOD loading 4.5kg-$BOD_5/m^3$ㆍd, and under the fixed state of hydraulic retention time for around 32 minutes.

  • Purpose: This study examined what characteristics and variables predict participation in support groups for women with breast cancer. Method: 282 women with breast cancer from 4 hospitals located in Busan were included in the study. Data was measured on each participant from September 2006 to February 2007. Data was collected using structured researcher-administered sheets and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results: The clients reported medium levels of illness perception, anxiety and depression, stress with coping, social support and self-efficacy. 48.9% of women with breast cancer participated in support groups. Significant influencing factors on the participation in support groups were 'operation time(+)', 'illness perception(+)', 'social support(-)', and 'self-efficacy(+)' Those variables explained 73.4%. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a strategy or promoting program for promotion of illness perception and self-efficacy of women with breast cancer. Thus, it is essential to provide participation to a support group to a women with breast cancer.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop framing principles for the standard form of the apartment management expenses levy. The researcher with apartment managers and executive secretaries of Busan Citizen's Coalition for Economic Justice made framing principles for standardization through discussion of 5 times as well as investigation of several lists for the apartment management expenses levy. These framing rules are as follows. First, to arrange the expenses and amounts used. Second, to standardize items of expenditure. Third, to present basic contents of apartment such as the characteristics, the amounts of bank deposits, extra incomings and outgoings, and all-inclusive table of apartment management expenses. Fourth, to show the obvious explanation of items.

  • This research investigates the turbidity and flow of river for an year, 2005, in order to examine the relation of the generation of turbidity according to the outflow of min water. For this research, the region of Jawoon river where is the area of high land vegetable growing in the upper Soyang Reservoir is selected to observe actual floating materials that generate negative nutrition and turbidity of the Reservoir water and the changes of water quality by raining of each month. In addition, the researcher has conducted statistical inspection methods, such as correlation analysis and regression analysis on strength of raining force, and rain continuance time among the elements affecting the outflow of floating materials.

  • At the large commercial facilities, people try to grasp a customer's needs as the marketing strategies for effective management and maximization of profits as well as the primary purpose for functional and effective spatial plan. In planning the interior of each department, they try to provide the image of the interior environment corresponding to customer's emotional needs. And this kind of efforts also have been improved as visual merchandising strategies based on the transmission of visual information. This study is to examine the correlation among customer's behavior, circulation and VMD by gasping their shopping patterns at the department stores based on the spatial and emotional approach to form an environmental image of each department. The researcher focused on time, speed and rate of shopping that show customer's behavioristic characteristics and examine the factors to have an influence on decision making. With the result, this study proposes the primary data and evidence for MD planning, circulation planning and VMD planning of each department.

  • This study aims to establish interior orientation for various types of sensors including frame cameras, panoramic cameras, line cameras, and whisk-broom scanners. To do so, this study suggests the classification of components of interior orientation of which elements are different according to the sensors. This is entailed by incorporation of sensor characteristics into mathematical models of interior orientation parameters are suggested for being used as guidelines in recovering systematic distortions. Finally, the potential errors resulted from the assumption of regarding sensor model of whisk-broom scanner model as that of push-broom scanner are discussed.
