Luminous efficiency and uniformity in a LCD-BLU are mainly determined by fine scattering patterns formed on the light guide panel. We propose a novel fabrication method of 3-dimensional scattered patterns based on anisotropic etching of silicon wafers. Micro-pyramid patterns with 70.5 degree apex-angle and micro-prism patterns with 109.4 degree apex-angle can be self-constructed by the wet, anisotropic etching of (100) and (110) silicon wafers, respectively, and those patterns are easily duplicated by the PDMS replica process. Experimental results on spatial and angular distributions of irradiation from the light guide panel with the micro-pyramid patterns were very consistent with the calculation results. Surface roughness of the silicon-based micro-patterns is free from any artificial defects since the micro-patterns are inherently formed with silicon crystal surfaces. Therefore, we expect that the silicon based micro-patterning process makes it possible to fabricate perfect 3-dimensional micro-structures with crystal surface and apex angles, which may guarantee mass-reproduction of the light guide panels in LCD-BLU.

In conventional percutaneous disc surgery, introducing instruments into disc space starts by inserting a guide needle into the triangular working zone. However, landing the guide needle tip on the annular window is a challenging step in endoscopic discectomy. Surgeons tend to repeat the needling procedure to reach an optimal position on the annular target. Obturator guiding technique is a modification of standard endoscopic lumbar discectomy, in which, obturator is used to access triangular working zone instead of a guide needle. Obturator guiding technique provides more vivid feedback and easy manipulation. This technique decreases the steps of inserting instruments and takes safer route from the peritoneum.

The objective of this study is to explore the strategies to promote the use of the subject guide for Korean modern literature. To meet this objective this study conducted a survey on users' awareness of the subject guide service and sought out experts' opinions to identify the strategies to promote and improve the subject guide for Korean modern literature. The study proposes the following strategies: 1) Conduct promotional activities utilizing a variety of social media; 2) provide education for the user to enhance understanding of the utility of the subject guide; 3) build a website dedicated to the subject guide service for Korean modern literature; 4) provide an efficient subject-specific bibliography service by improving the quality of the subject guide, by offering full texts, ongoing content updates, and coordination with other institutions and agencies; and 5) tailor the service to user characteristics such as gender, age, occupation, and education level. Suggestions for future directions include research on the collaborative system, additional specific promotional strategies to promote the use of the subject guide, and development of evaluation indicators of the subject guide for Korean modern literature.

This research performed on the development process of subject guide of Korean modern literature is to show subject guide and find improvements and to reflect user's requests regarding subject access too development. Survey was performed on user's awareness and the result from analyzing 307 questionnaires are as follow. Firstly, understanding and utilization experience of subject guide were very low while future intension to utilize the subject guide was very high. Secondly, not only the original materials but also derived materials showed high result regarding the importance of production type of Korean modern literature. Lastly, Regarding the establishment of materials, establishment by writer, genre, time or trend was preferred in overall but difference was shown by group.

Recently many TV have much interest in Network Design to get an advantage in the competition of the multi channels as part of the channel brand strategy. Since the Network Design was introduced in Korea in 1997, the major cable channels and satellite channels began to display Network Design on their screen competitively. But the production of Network Design has many problems in the field due to the lack of research information. The style guide is considered very important to succeed in Network Design execution as an indispensible process for a consistent planning and concrete production. This paper studied the Network Design Style Guide to establish a theoretical system of Network Design for a TV channel image promotion. First, this paper discussed the concept of Network Design and the necessity of the Network Design Style Guide, Second, this paper systemized the main component through the case study of the Network Design Style Guide and defined the concept of each element.

Management optimization is very important in tourism, especially when it is related to productivity. One of the problems in management optimization is tour guide assignment. Well-arranged tour guide assignment will increase productivity while maintaining service quality. A cellular genetic algorithm is one of the methods that can be used to solve this problem. Furthermore, previous study has shown that a cellular dimension increase can lead to promising benefits for certain problems. The objective of this research is to give a clear understanding of the advantages of increasing cellular dimensionality on the tour guide assignment problem by using a cellular genetic algorithm.

The purpose of this study is to design of prototype for developing webpage of fisheries and marine education especially in the field of Busan area. For this, we extract the guideline for development from literature review, need and task analysis, and advices of subject domain experts. Followings were the results of the research: (a) We make the prototype for main menu and screen based on institute, time, subject, and location. (b) We make the prototype for program approach guide, which is consisted of location based menu constructing prototype guide, activation prototype guide, and selection prototype guide. (c) We make the prototype for functional guide, which is consisted of information section, participation section and other sections.

A light guide panel is an element of the LCD backlight module that is often used for the display of compact electronic devices. In this study, a laser marking system is proposed to fabricate light guide panel, which can replace other manufacturing methods such as silk printing, stamping, or v-cutting methods. The objective of this research is to evaluate the process parameters of the laser marking system. Light guide patterns were marked with a 50W $CO_2$ laser (CW) to understand the effects of average power and scanning speed on the geometry and quality of groove pattern. The width of the fabricated grooves increases with increasing laser power and decreasing scan speed. In order to analyze surface characteristics and optical properties (luminance, uniformity), SEM photography and BM7 (luminance measuring system) were used. As a result, the optimal conditions of the process parameters were determined.

The Incoterms(R) 2010 rules take account of the continued spread of customs-free zones, the increased use of electronic communications in business transactions, heightened concern about security in the movement of goods and changes in transport practices. And the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 is the authoritative companion work to Incoterms(R) 2010, the ICC rules on the use of domestic and international trade terms. The guide responds to business needs for a better understanding of these ICC rules that are used in countless commercial transactions every day. But, contrary to the previous guidebook, there is many errors and mistake in the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 which should be amended. The purpose of this paper is to point out the problems and amend the errors and unify the expression in guidebook.

The goal of our research is to develop a smart location-based self guided lour assistant as a context-aware real world application. As a context-aware tourist guide application, we hove been developing a PDA-based location-aware tourist guide application for the old palace Deoksugung in the center of Seoul. It will guide visitors to the palace with information about: current location, attractions nearby, and details about specific buildings. Rich multimedia support has been incorporated into the system to provide extra features to enhance the self-guided tour.
