This study explores hedge fund characteristics that affect hedge fund performance, namely, fund size, fund age, and performance fee. Previous studies have examined relationships between hedge fund characteristics and fund performance using singular and static thinking to report inconsistent findings without providing full understanding of the causal relationships among variables. To identify that comprehensive causal relationships between hedge fund characteristics and hedge fund performance, this research applies the system dynamics perspective, which allowed demonstration of the interactions within the overall system beyond the singular causal relationships between hedge fund characteristics and performance found in existing traditional research. This study contributes to existing literature in the following ways. First, it overcomes the limitations of singular research methodologies by looking at the integrated system of hedge fund characteristics and fund performance from a bird's eye view based on their dynamic feedback relationships. Second, policy suggestions in terms of regulation and education are presented as growth strategies for the sustainable development of the Korean hedge fund market.

In this paper, we propose an intelligent research fund management system that applies artificial intelligence technology to an integrated research fund management system. By defining research fund management rules as work rules, a detection model learned using deep learning is designed, through which the disapproval status is presented for each research fund usage history. The disapproval detection system of the RCMS implemented in this study predicts whether the newly registered usage details are recognized or disapproved using an artificial intelligence model designed based on the use of an 8.87 million research fund registered in the RCMS. In addition, the item-detail recommendation system described herein presents the usage details according to the usage history item newly registered by the artificial intelligence model through a correlation between the research cost usage details and the item itself. The accuracy of the recommendation was shown to be 97.21%.

펀드는 최근 들어 대표적인 금융투자상품으로서 많은 인기를 끌고 있다. 본 연구는 펀드투자에 대한 의사결정과정에서 투자자들이 어떠한 요인을 고려하는지를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 투자자들의 위험감소행동과 펀드선택속성이 펀드투자행동에 미치는 영향력을 분석하고자 한다. 연구의 대상은 펀드 가입 경험이 있는 투자자를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 자료수집은 2014년 12월부터 2015년 1월 30일까지 하여 총431개 투자자를 분석의 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구결과 펀드 판매회사, 펀드 이해력, 펀드성과는 펀드만족도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 상업적 광고는 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 펀드 운영회사, 수익성, 펀드이해력, 펀드성과, 주변추천은 펀드의 지속적인 거래의도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해서 펀드투자 만족도와 지속적인 거래의도를 증가시키기 위해서는 펀드성과에 대한 정보제공을 바탕으로 투자자 스스로 의사결정을 할 수 있도록 유도해야하며, 펀드정보는 펀드 이해력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 투자자에게 제공되어야 할 것이다.

This paper aims at exploring financing methods for port development in response to unification of South and North Korea. In so doing, methods of port financing employed by major countries have been enumerated. Major financing sources for the two Korea, among others, taxes, public bond, public administration fund, establishment of harbour maintenance tax, port development tax, port development fund, Civil Economic Cooperation Fund of South and North Korea, and Fund for Port Development of North Korea and, fund for cooperation of South and North Korea, Economic Development Cooperation Fund, borrowing of foreign capital, project financing, domestic civil capital investment, foreign capital investment, application of cross-subsidization principle, etc. were suggested.

국가연구개발사업의 보다 나은 연구성과 도출을 위해서는 양적인 지원규모의 확대와 우수한 연구인력의 확보뿐만 아니라 연구자가 연구에 몰입할 수 있는 연구환경의 조성도 중요한 요소라고 생각된다. 특히 우리나라의 경우 연구비 집행과정에서 발생하는 행정업무 부담이 연구자의 연구몰입에 많은 어려움을 초래하고 있는 것이 현실이기 때문에, 정부는 대학 교수들의 연구비 회계관리에 대한 부담을 덜어줌으로써 연구의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해서 연구비 중앙관리제도를 시행하고 있다. 본 연구는 정부지원 연구비와 대학의 연구성과간의 관계에서 연구비 중앙관리제도의 조절효과(Moderating Effects)를 분석하였다. 분석결과 각 대학의 연구비 중앙관리 수준이 높을수록 연구비가 연구성과(KCI등재 건수, SCI등재 건수, 특허출원 건수)에 미치는 영향력이 더 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 기존 연구의 관점을 확대하였을 뿐만 아니라 정부정책의 실제적인 효과를 분석하였다는데 의의가 있다.

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the potential benefits or detriments of team management on fund performance in the mutual fund market. An additional purpose of this study is to examine the optimal number of managers in a fund industry for superior performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper investigates the effect of managerial structure on fund performance in the Korean active mutual fund market between 2001 and 2008. For this, we analyze two risk-adjusted performances measures- the capital asset pricing model (CAPM) and the three-factor model of Fama & French (1993). Results - First, we found that single-managed funds exhibited superior performance. Second major finding was that as the number of managers in a fund increases, the fund performance deteriorates. Finally, the results reveal that the sharpest performance drop occurs when team size increases from a 5-person team to a 6-person team. Conclusions - The results suggest that the management structure can be a source of competitive advantage for fund performance. As considering fund performance is the outcome of managers' decision-making, this study contributes to not only the financial literature but also the literature in other areas, such as management and general business.

In this paper, we implement a system for a fund recommendation based on the investment propensity and for a future fund price prediction. The investment propensity is classified by scoring user responses to series of questions. The proposed system recommends the funds with a suitable risk rating to the investment propensity of the user. The future fund prices are predicted by Prophet model which is one of the machine learning methods for time series data prediction. Prophet model predicts future fund prices by learning the parameters related to trend changes. The prediction by Prophet model is simple and fast because the temporal dependency for predicting the time-series data can be removed. We implement web pages for the fund recommendation and for the future fund price prediction.

The National Health Promotion Fund has grown as the increase of tax on tobacco consumption, but more than half of the fund was spent on health insurance supporting. It is important to use the fund appropriately to keep legitimacy and sustainability of health promotion. Therefore, services regarding health promotion should be a priority in spending health promotion fund, and operation system should be established to manage and administer the fund properly.

This study reviews the amount and expenditures in national health promotion fund from 1997 to 2006, to analyse the problems and provide the future direction of health promotion fund programs. This study suggested the guide for future plans and the scope and contents of health promotion fund programs, priority and fund budgetary allocation, and operation organization. It is needed to revise health promotion law and enforcement decree of the health promotion act. The fund should be used in limited 9 areas related to healthy life activities: (1)Anti-smoking actions, (2)To support activities leading to a healthy life, (3)Public health education and development of materials, (4)Investigation and research regarding community health matters, (5)Public nutrition management activities, (6)Oral health management activities, (7)Physical exercises for health promotion, (8)Foundation related to supporting healthy life style practice society, (9)Expenses necessary for the management and operation of the fund. And also, in order to improve the performance of health promotion, it is considered to reform the operation system including organization.

정부는 국가정책사업의 원활한 수행을 위하여 국가재정법에 의거 융자성 기금을 운용하고 있다. 그러나, 기금운용절차와 기금관리 측면에서 기금의 오남용, 사후관리 미흡 등 문제점에 노출되어 있다. 본 논문 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 Blockchain과 Machine Learning 등 Fintech 기술을 활용하였다. 기금운용절차는 Consortium Blockchain으로 설계하고, PBFT 협의 Algorithm과 Smart 계약을 적용하는 방안을 제시하였다. 기금관리는 Machine Learning의 Multilayer Artificial Neural Network Model을 활용하는 방안과 결과 값 해석모듈을 함께 제시하였다. 본 Fintech 기술 활용 방안을 도입하게 되면 기금대출의 투명성과 효율성 제고, 신뢰성 확보가 가능하고 정부의 기금제도 개선 및 기금정책 수립에도 기여 할 수 있을 것이다.
