Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data to improve disaster nursing competency by identifying nursing students' disaster awareness, disaster preparedness, and disaster nursing competency and confirming the relationship among them. Research design, data, and methodology: The subjects of this study were 310 students attending the Department of Nursing at E University in Gyeonggi-do, and the data was collected from April 13 to May 24, 2023. Results: Disaster awareness averaged 72.91±7.46 points, disaster preparedness averaged 2.82±2.81 points, and disaster nursing competency averaged 44.11±10.76 points. Disaster preparedness and disaster nursing competency were significantly higher in subjects with disaster nursing education experience than in those without experience. Disaster awareness showed a significant positive correlation with disaster preparedness (r=.20, p <.001), and also with disaster nursing competency (r=.37, p <.001). Disaster preparedness showed a significant positive correlation with disaster nursing competency (r=.49, p <.001). It was found that the disaster nursing competency was high when the disaster awareness (B=0.472, p<.001), and the disaster preparedness (B=1.561, p<.001) was high. Conclusions: The results show it is possible to improve students' disaster nursing competency by strengthening education on disaster awareness and disaster preparedness. Thus, specific efforts and future research are needed to develop disaster nursing education.

Reaction characteristics and kinetics of a oxygen carrier (OCN717-R1SU) for chemical looping combustion (CLC) have been investigated using TGA by changing gas concentration (10-30 vol.% $CH_4$) and reaction temperature ($825-900^{\circ}C$). Reaction rate of OCN717-R1SU increased as temperature increased and it was found that reaction is delayed at the initial reaction regime. Johnson-Mehl-Avrami (JMA) model was adopted to explain the reaction phenomenon. The activation energy (E) determined by JMA model in reduction reaction of OCN717-R1SU is $151.7{\pm}2.03kJ/mol$ and pre-exponential factor and JMA exponent were also obtained. The parameters calculated in this study will be applied in design of the reactor and operation conditions for CLC process.

Maemi Dual Field Telescope System (MDFTS) is a dual telescope system located at Kyung Hee University. The system consists of 0.4 m telescope and 0.1 m telescope for wide-field observation. The 0.4 m telescope provides photometric observation which covers a field of view of 21'×16'. It has been used for various purposes with Johnson-Cousins UBVRI broadband filter system, e.g., SomangNet and Intensive Monitoring Survey of Nearby Galaxies. In this poster, we present the standard calibration result for our broadband filter system. Also, we suggest a new usage of the KHAO 0.4m telescope which is narrowband photometry by demonstrating the standard calibration of H-alpha filter. For flux calibration, not only R filter but also V filter is used for compensating the central wavelength discrepancy between R filter and H-alpha filter.

이 연구에서는 과학영재의 연구노트의 작성과 보관 현황 및 인식 실태를 분석하여, 향후 연구노트 작성과 관리 지침 및 교육 방안 마련을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 과학영재 고등학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고 152명의 응답을 분석하였다. 과학영재 학생들의 연구노트 작성과 보관 현황 및 인식의 특성을 살펴보면, 연구노트의 작성이 중요하다고 인식하는 것에 비해 성실하게 작성하지 않았고, 지도교사나 과학자 등 멘토의 지도와 점검도 성실하게 수행되지 않는 경향이 나타났다. 또, 이름, 날짜기입 등 연구증빙을 위한 실행이 부족하였다. 그리고 연구노트를 학생이 직접 소유하고 보관하는 비율이 가장 높았으나, 보존 기간이 얼마인지, 소유 및 보관 주체가 누구인지에 대한 인식 수준은 높지 않았다. 이러한 결과에 기반하여 과학영재 교육기관의 개선사항을 제안한다. 첫째, 연구노트 작성을 성실히 수행하도록 과학영재 학생들에 대한 지도를 강화할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 연구노트 작성 방법에 대해 구체적으로 교육할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학교에서 구체적인 연구노트 작성, 관리에 대한 규정을 마련하고 이를 바탕으로 교육이 이루어져야 한다.

The flowers of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis Linn. of Oleaceae widely used in Ayurvedic system of medicine for the treatment of diuresis, liver disorder, spleen enlargement sciatica, bitter, stomachic, carminative and tonic to hair. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the alcoholic and aqueous extracts of the flowers of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis for hepatoprotective effect against carbontetrachloride induced liver damage in rats. Administration of alcoholic and aqueous extracts of the leaves of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis protect the liver from toxic effects of carbontetrachloride by reducing the elevated levels of Serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase, Serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, Alkaline phosphatase and serum bilirubin. Results revealed that both the alcoholic and aqueous extracts showed significant hepatoprotective activity by reducing the elevated levels of biochemical parameters at a dose of 200 mg/kg body weight. The results were supported by histopathological studies of liver samples which showed regeneration of hepatocytes by the extracts.

The History of Mathematics (HOM) was integrated in teaching the Cartesian Coordinate Plane (CCP) to Grade Seven learners of Moonwalk National High School using Lesson Study. After the lesson was taught, there were three valuable issues emerged: (1) HOM is a Springboard and/or a Medium of Motivation in Teaching CCP; (2) The History of CCP Opened a Wider Perspective about Its Real-life Application in the Modern World (3) Integration of History Developed a Sense of Purpose and an Appreciation of Mathematics Among Learners. Feedbacks solicited from the learners showed that they have understanding of the importance of studying Mathematics after they learned the life and contributions of Rene Descartes to Mathematics. Hence, integration of history plays a vital role in developing positive attitudes among learners towards Math.

The RGB Bayer filter system consists of mosaic R, G, and B filters on the grid of photo sensors with which typical commercial DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras and CCD/CMOS cameras are taken. Many unique astronomical data taken with RGB Bayer filter systems are available, including transient objects, e.g., supernovae, variable stars, and solar system bodies. The utilization of such data in scientific research strongly requires reliable photometry transformation methods. In this work, we develop a series of formulae to derive magnitudes in the Johnson-Cousins BVR filter system from those in the RGB Bayer filter system.

정부 각 부처 단위의 국가연구개발보고서 정보관리 체계는 산하 전문기관으로 하여금 구체적인 정보의 수집 및 데이터베이스 구축, 정보시스템 운영 등의 업무를 수행하도록 하는 시스템으로 현행 국가 차원의 연구개발보고서 분류체계는 미흡한 상태이다. 또한 정부 부처마다 상이한 전자원문서비스 형태로 제공되므로 표준화된 서비스가 요구 된다. 따라서 본 논문의 연구 목표와 세부연구 내용은 다음과 같다. 연구 목표는 국가 연구개발보고서 양식의 표준화 방안을 수립하고, 기존 국가 연구개발보고서의 서비스 형태에 대한 문제점을 분석하여 XML 기반 국가연구개발보고서 서비스를 위한 프레임워크를 제시한다. 아울러 본 논문의 세부 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가 연구개발보고서 생산 기관 현황파악 및 주요 기관별 연구개발보고서 양식조사와 서비스 현황을 분석한다. 둘째, 국가 연구개발보고서 관련 주요 해외 과학기술정보 서비스 체계 및 관련 데이터베이스 스키마 분석을 한다. 셋째, 국가연구개발보고서 서비스 체계의 문제점 분석을 통한 XML 기반 국가연구개발보고서 서비스 프레임워크 제안과 데이터베이스 스키마를 설계하고 마지막으로 보고서 포털 서비스 방안을 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 논문의 학술적 기여도는 국가차원의 연구개발보고서의 종합정보관리체계 구축을 통해 과학기술정보의 효율적인 관리 및 수요자 중심의 통합정보시스템 개발을 통해 국가 연구개발 관련 정보와 자원을 공동 활용함으로써 연구개발의 투자 효율성을 높일 수 있다.

C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5) regulates the trafficking of various immune cells to sites of infection. In this study, we showed that expression of CCR5 and its ligands was rapidly increased in the kidney after systemic Candida albicans infection, and infected CCR5^-/- mice exhibited increased mortality and morbidity, indicating that CCR5 contributes to an effective defense mechanism against systemic C. albicans infection. The susceptibility of CCR5^-/- mice to C. albicans infection was due to impaired fungal clearance, which in turn resulted in exacerbated renal inflammation and damage. CCR5-mediated recruitment of NK cells to the kidney in response to C. albicans infection was necessary for the anti-microbial activity of neutrophils, the main fungicidal effector cells. Mechanistically, C. albicans induced expression of IL-23 by CD11c⁺ dendritic cells (DCs). IL-23 in turn augmented the fungicidal activity of neutrophils through GM-CSF production by NK cells. As GM-CSF potentiated production of IL-23 in response to C. albicans, a positive feedback loop formed between NK cells and DCs seemed to function as an amplification point for host defense. Taken together, our results suggest that CCR5-mediated recruitment of NK cells to the site of fungal infection is an important step that underlies innate resistance to systemic C. albicans infection.

연구목적: 본 연구는 Little $Anne^{(R)}$, $BRAYDEN^{(R)}$, $HeartiSense^{(R)}$를 이용하여 심폐소생술 교육에 사용되는 마네킹에 따른 교육효과를 비교하고자 시행하였다. 연구방법: 연구대상자는 응급구조사가 아닌 90명의 소방관이었다. A, B, C 세 그룹으로 나누어 50분 동안 심폐소생술 이론교육을 하였고, 이후 50분간 각 그룹별로 3인 1조 실습교육을 시행 하였는데, A그룹 30명은 Little $Anne^{(R)}$를 이용 하였고, B그룹 30명은 $BRAYDEN^{(R)}$를 이용 하였고, C그룹 30명은 $HeartiSense^{(R)}$를 이용하였으며, 이후 Resusci Anne $SkillReporter^{(R)}$를 사용해 수행한 심폐소생술 결과를 출력한 후 결과를 확인하고 설문지를 작성하도록 하였다. 연구결과: 마네킹에 따른 만족지수는 $x^2=81.050$, p<.000로 유의한 차이를 보였고, 만족 이유는 $x^2=91.050$, p<.000로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 정확한 흉부압박 비율은 F=5.087, p<.004, 정확한 인공호흡 비율은 F=10.54, p<.000으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결론: 정확하고 효율적인 CPR 교육이 필요한 대상에게는 교육효과가 높은 실시간 시각 교정이 가능한 정보를 제공하는 마네킹이 효과적일 것으로 사료된다.
