In this increasingly technological world, the creativity development has been highlighted much in many countries. In this paper, two mathematical activities with Chinese characteristics are presented to illustrate how to integrate algorithmic teaching into mathematical activities to develop students' creativity. Case studies show that the learning of algorithm can be transferred into creative learning when students construct their own algorithms in Logo environment rather than being indoctrinated the existing algorithms. Creativity development in different stages of mathematical activities and creativity development in programming are also discussed.

We investigated the antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibitory activities of the aqueous extract of rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. The antioxidant activity of O. mykiss aqueous extract was determined by in vitro peroxynitrite scavenging activity and reducing power assays. The aqueous extract of O. mykiss showed potent peroxynitrite radical scavenging activity ($IC_{50}=0.12{\pm}0.001\;mg/mL$) and reducing power (absorbance=$0.47{\pm}0.001$) at the concentration of 1 mg/mL. The in vitro cholinesterase inhibitory activity of O. mykiss aqueous extract was examined using spectrophotometric analyses of acetyl- and butyrylcholinesterase. The aqueous extract of O. mykiss showed acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity ($IC_{50}=1.61{\pm}0.13\;mg/mL$), but did not exhibit inhibitory activity against butyrylcholinesterase. These results suggest that O. mykiss possesses antioxidant and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities and provide scientific evidence for the health benefits of O. mykiss aqueous extract.

Employing a newly developed conceptual framework of the tasks and activities that comprise today's digital scholarly undertaking and their potentially reputation building, maintaining and enhancing components, the efforts of ResearchGate in supporting scholars' reputation building endeavours were put under the microscope. Not unexpectedly, RG performs well in regard to basic research activities. Clearly, too, with ten metrics at its disposal, RG is in a league of its own when it comes to monitoring individual research reputation. Where RG falls down is regarding scholarly activities that do not concern pure research and so especially teaching. Its claim to have created a new way of measuring reputation is only partially true because if it wants to do so genuinely then it needs to extend the range of scholarly activities covered. RG also falls short in informing members as to the nature and changes to its service and of embracing new actors, such as citizen scientists and amateur experts.

Lindera obtusiloba has been used in traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of blood stasis and inflammation. The leaves of Lindera obtusiloba have been reported to exhibit various physiological activities. However, there is little information available on their antiplatelet and antithrombotic activities. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of Lindera obtusiloba leaf extract (LLE) on platelet activities, coagulation and thromboembolism. In a platelet aggregation study, LLE significantly inhibited various agonist-induced platelet aggregations in vitro and ex vivo. Furthermore, LLE significantly inhibited collagen-induced thromboxane A2 (TXA2) production in rat platelets. In addition, oral administration of LLE was protective in a mouse model of pulmonary thromboembolism induced by intravenous injection of a mixture of collagen and epinephrine. Interestingly, LLE did not significantly alter prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT). This study indicates that the antithrombotic effects of LLE might be due to its antiplatelet activities rather than anticoagulation. Taken together, these results suggest that LLE may be a candidate preventive and therapeutic agent in cardiovascular diseases associated with platelet hyperactivity.

The protection of nuclear safety software is essential in that a failure can result in significant economic loss and physical damage to the public. However, software security has often been ignored in nuclear safety software development. To enforce security considerations, nuclear regulator commission recently issued and revised the security regulations for nuclear computer-based systems. It is a great challenge for nuclear developers to comply with the security requirements. However, there is still no clear software development process regarding security activities. This paper proposes an integrated development process suitable for the secure development requirements and system security requirements described by various regulatory bodies. It provides a three-stage framework with eight security activities as the software development process. Detailed descriptions are useful for software developers and licensees to understand the regulatory requirements and to establish a detailed activity plan for software design and engineering.

The purpose of this study was to find out how follow-up activities of reading picture books influenced infants' language and socio-emotional development. Subjects of this study were 27 2-year-old infants at public day care centers in Busan. After implementing follow-up activities of reading picture books for 8 weeks, this study tried to investigate changes in infants' language and socio-emotional development. Results of this study are as follows. First, follow-up activities of reading pictures have brought positive impacts on infants' language ability. Results indicate a positive influence on infants' expressive and acceptive language ability. Second, follow up activities have also enhanced infants' socio-emotional development. Sepcifically, they have been effective in improving infants' low-level socio-emotional development such as 'internal control', 'peer interaction', and 'achievement motivation'. It is expected that the follow-up activities developed by this research would help to enhance infants' language development and socio-emotional development.

Article materials reflect the results of scientific research and generalization of experience concerning quality measurement of student's educational activities in the context of innovative development of the educational process, which is ensured by introducing educational innovations. The main point of monitoring of higher education students' activities and also phenomenon of education quality, particularly its results, are determined in the research. Guided by the scientific theory and personal experience of scientific and pedagogical activities, the attempt to single out the key components, important indicators and to introduce component indicator model of quality of higher education students' activities on the qualimetry base has been performed. Methodical solutions concerning the application of the developed model to determine the dynamics of pedagogical students' educational achievements by particular educational components in the process of innovative development of educational process are proposed. The advanced studies that relate to the development of methods for monitoring the quality of pedagogical higher education students' activities on the basis of systemic, competence and qualimetry approaches taking into account the levels of education and chosen specialties have been decided.

One of characteristics of firms having successfully developed new products is that they are practicing strategic learning, that is, organizational learning for preparing the future. In this context, we attempts to examine the effect of strategic learning on the proficiency of new product development activities and new product outcome, in an empirical way. In addition, we Investigated the moderating effect of new product innovativeness on the relationship among strategic learning, proficiency of new product development activities, and new product outcome. The analysis results show that the strategic learning has a positive impact on both the proficiency of new product development activities and new product outcome. And it was found that the impact of strategic learning on the proficiency of new product development activities is increasing when firms developing new products with high degree of innovativeness. However, the impact of strategic learning on new product outcome was not different according to new product innovativeness. This results shed some insight on the role of strategic learning in the new product development management.

Underground construction requires long construction duration and a variety of equipment, and environmental management and improvement of its activities are considered necessary. For the purpose of the environmental improvement of underground construction activities, the appropriate development of technologies to reduce generated pollutants is mandatory. However, the analysis of the needs of technology development and the evaluation of development priorities should take precedence. In this research, the needs for the improvement of each construction activity are analyzed as a preliminary study for a proposed technology development plan to improve the environmental performance of underground construction. Firstly, environmental problem factors caused by underground construction activities are determined while underground construction types, methods, and activities are classified. A questionnaire survey to determine the needs for the improvement of each activity is then carried out. The survey indicated that the most urgent activity to be improved is that of cutting excavation, which causes environmental problems associated with flying dust. This study could be used as a basis for a technology development plan for the environmental improvement of underground construction activities. The result of this study, the priority of improvement needs, contributes to the effective allocation of a limited Research and Development (R&D) budget.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to develop a tool to measure the corporate social responsibility activities of tourism and hotel companies using ISO26000 and to verify its reliability and validity. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study is the development of a tool for evaluating social responsibility activities of tourism and hotel companies. For this, as the first stage filer research, 4 experts developed the questions based on ISO26000. And 12 experts (academia, industry) were surveyed by Delphi to evaluate suitability. Finally, the validity and reliability of the development tool were verified for a total of 55 incumbents and related persons. Research Results - For the development of a tool for measuring social responsibility activities of tourism and hotel companies, based on the standard draft of ISO26000, questions that fit 7 core areas were composed (60 questions). In addition, a Delphi survey was conducted on a panel of 12 experts, and a total of 45 questions were derived. Finally, as a result of an exploratory factor analysis of 55 field experts, 20 items consisting of 6 factors were finally confirmed as a measuring tool for social responsibility activities of tourism and hotel companies. Research implications or originality - It is significant for the first development of a social responsibility activity scale suitable for the situation of tourism and hotel companies by applying ISO26000. This will raise awareness of the importance of social responsibility activities in the tourism industry environment, and will help tourism companies to develop a positive awareness of social responsibility activities and to prepare effective implementation strategies.
