Conventional film radiographic test has been generally and widely used in the inspection on the weldment for quality assurance. On the other hand, since the analog RT is well known for typical time and cost consuming method with complex process of inspection, the industry has researched various ways how to improve radiographic test technology. In this study, we verified the fact that digital RT provides a lot more benefit in effectively detecting defects, ever film details, through digital processing of image enhancement, compared to film RT. As a result, we reached conclusion that digital RT is positively able to replace the film RT in industry in part or in whole.

Objective : There is a growing need to expand or adjust insurance coverage of herbal prescriptions in National Health Insurance. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for expansions or adjustments of 56 herbal prescriptions in the National Health Insurance. Method : We surveyed lists of 56 insurance-covered herbal prescriptions, non-covered company-produced herbal medicines and self-prepared herbal medicines in 531 traditional korean medical clinics by mail from 6/1/2008 to 12/9/2008. Result : Among the 56 Prescriptions, Ojeok-san was stocked in 66.7% of clinics (1st), Samso-eum ranked 2nd, Socheongnyong-tang ranked 3rd, Gumiganghwal-tang was 4th, Hyangsapyeongwi-san ranked 5th. Among the non-covered company-produced herbal medicines, Danggwisu-san ranked 1st, Gwakyangjeonggi-san ranked 2nd, Oryeong-san was 3rd, Bangpungtongseong-san was 4th, Maengmundong-tang ranked 5th. Among the self-prepared herbal medicines, Gongjin-dan ranked 1st, Soche-hwan was 2nd, Gyejibongnyeong-hwan was 3rd, Yeongsin-hwan was 4th, Palmi-hwan ranked 5th. Conclusions : It is reasonable to select frequently used company-produced or self-prepared herbal prescriptions in this stock rate survey for improvement of National Health Insurance coverage.

Recently, the government has provided support such as entering new markets, expanding sales channels, and supporting manpower, not just in the form of funding, to efficiently and effectively support limited national resources to improve corporate performance. In this study, we tried to find out the effect of government support for companies that have benefited from the Excellent Technology Research Center Project (ATC Project) and the World Class 300 project using propensity score matching. As a result of the analysis, the effect of government support for the ATC project became visible after the appointment period, while the effect of the World Class 300 project was insignificant. This means that when the size of the company is small, the effect of government support is more pronounced. This suggests that in order to maximize the effectiveness of government support, appropriate national policy interventions such as government innovation funding are needed when the size of the company is small. In this study, differences in the timing, performance indicators, and company size of policy support effects were found in the growth stage of a company from a mid- to long-term time series perspective, suggesting that support policies based on this need to be adjusted and redesigned.

A construction project is very costly and takes a long time to make investment and yield profit. For this reason, financial institutions are cautious about financing construction projects. Meanwhile, a construction company needs financing from financial institutions to cover a large expense of a construction project. Thus, there is likely to be a close correlation between financing conditions and business operation of a construction company. To examine the relationship, variables were identified that are related to insolvency of a construction company and changes in financing conditions. The analysis period is between the second quarter of 2001 and the fourth quarter of 2010. Data was retrieved from TS2000 established by Korea Listed Companies Association (KLCA), Statistics Office, and Construction Economy Research Institute of Korea (CERIK). In terms of methodology, VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) was used to analyze dynamic relationship between changes in financing conditions and insolvency of a construction company based on the identified variables. The hypothesis was that changes in financing conditions would significantly affect business of a construction company, but, the analysis did not find a close relation between the two factors. However, it was shown that poor business of a construction company affects financing conditions adversely.

This study is aimed to investigate the occupational safety and health management of contractor company in the car industry. The questionnaire survey was conducted on the suppliers and contractors of car industry. Data were collected from 10 contractor companies and their 291 contractor companies(each outside and inside company). From the survey result, it was found that the level of all-round safety and health management is above the average. To strengthen the relationship for safety and health management, it is needed that the supplier company employ the person in exclusive charge to support contractor. Also it is needed the active support of the contractor company and needed that the supplier company employ the person in exclusive charge to support contractor. Finally, Many of the problems associated with the safety and health management by strengthening contractor company responsibility will have to be solved simultaneously.

Dongwon Systems established in 1977 to exclusively supply Dongwon tuna cans, the parent company. Instead of its stable management and profits by relying on the parent company, the company was not complacent and started innovating and challenging new markets. Dongwon Systems decided to expand the business area and pioneer new markets so that it becomes the first domestic company to successfully expand into independent businesses other than parent company products. Such success of Dongwon Systems was driven by its differentiated B2B strategies. Unlike the characteristics of usual B2B companies, Dongwon Systems has been thinking both of its client companies and end-consumers. In this case-study, we will explore how Dongwon Systems became the No.1 packaging solution company in Korea through technology innovation in the aspects of unique B2B marketing strategy. The key success factor can be summarized in three ways; product and technology development with customer centric mind-set, systematically extending new markets through business diversification, and marking Southeast Asia as a bridgehead for its global strategy. It is expected that the current case study of Dongwon Systems will be able to provide implications for B2C companies as well as B2B companies that try to expand their business portfolio and global business areas through B2B marketing case analysis.

Purpose : The demand for higher fuel economy vehicles has helped develop fuel-efficient vehicles such as a CVVL called continuous variable valve lift. Existing CVVL has been applying DC type motor to control intake valve, but recently some car parts manufacturers have been developing a BLDC type CVVL motor for improvements of endurance performance. The purpose of this study is to find the potential failure mechanism of the CVVL BLDC moto in early stage of development based on the design properties and design the accelerated life test model. Methods : CVVL BLDC is consist of brushs, coil, magnetic, PCB, bearing and so on. Each component has a latent failure mechanism caused by temperature, humidity, vibration. By analysis result of the failure mechanism, thermal fatigue is the most important factor of a durability of CVVL BLDC motor. So, we designed a new accelerated life test model for guarantee of the CVVL BLDC motor. Results : A crack occurred on via hole in test using the conditions we designed, so we did change the design to avoid this failure. The via hole dimension is changed a little larger, as a result we achieve improvements in reliability of the CVVL BLDC motor. By applying various kinds and extreme level of stresses, we can find the operating limits of products. Conclusion : In thesis, We analyzed the failure mechanism of CVVL BLDC and designed an accelerated life test method to give a guarantee for reliability. Based on the test results, we could improve the reliability of developments by change of design.

A lot of research works in the BPM area focuses on the development of new techniques in process mining. Even though the application of process mining to analyze real life process logs is important, only few case studies are available. Thus, in this paper, we conduct a case study on how to analyze a real life process log which comes from a Korean company in the heavy industry area. We analyze a customer service process that consists of a series of activities to enhance the level of customer satisfaction. In this case study, five research questions are derived based on collected questions from the company. Then we focus on bottleneck analysis, basic performance analysis and pattern analysis that are selected in order to answer the research questions. The analysis shows some abnormal behaviors in the process and possible ways to improve current processes are suggested.

An integrated I&C architecture for nuclear power plants is designed by the systems and devices being developed in a project. Its design reference is the APR1400 that was design certified in Korea. Digital equipment and several kinds of data communication networks (DCN) are used. To confirm the validity of DCN based architecture design, the traffic loads fur each network were calculated assuming the anticipated maximum traffic condition. The analysis showed that the utilizations of all networks satisfied the design requirements.
