This paper intends to provide some guidelines for the articles to be published in Survey Research. For that purpose, we review the research articles published in Public Opinion Quarterly in 1991, 1995, and 2000. and identify the characteristics and the analytical methods and data used in these researches. Articles in Public Opinion Quarterly have some implications to the Korean survey research community in such a way that the types of researches to improve survey qualities and meta analyses of previously conducted survey researches seem to be the most useful and necessary at present.

Accounting education research addresses a wide range of topics related to students, educational processes, educational outcomes, faculty, administrative structures, and the programs and constituents of accounting education. This study examines accounting education researches for the purpose of identifying changes in this research literature and opportunities for enhancing its development. The total number of accounting articles published each year has increased. More significant is the increase in the portion of articles based on empirical research and the decrease in the portion of non-empirical articles. And the empirical studies were classified by type of study, by type of statistics used in the study, and by whether the study referred to other accounting or non-accounting literature. These analysis suggests a number of opportunities for the development of future accounting education research: (1) review relevant non-accounting literature, (2) seek empirical tests of fundamental relationships, (3) design multi-institutional and longitudinal tests, (4) provide for aptitude-treatment interactions, and (5) focus on educational outcomes.

This study conducted a content analysis of the treatises published in JKHEA(Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association). In total, 2,136 articles published in JKHEA from 1995 to the first half of 2009 were reviewed. Articles were classified by subject matters, research methods, number of researchers, presence of research fund, language and number of reference. Although it is useful to employ content analysis in reviewing academic articles on human ecology in all journal publications, the sheer size of literature available makes this task nearly impossible. As such, we have chosen JKHEA as a popular representative journal on human ecology. This study presented the empirical results of research trends and other characteristics in JKHEA. As such, the results of this study presented a snapshot analysis of research on human ecology and future trends.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to review the studies of catgut embedding related to obesity treatment. Methods We searched the papers with key words of obesity and catgut embedding via searching Research Information Sharing Service, DBpia, Koreanstudies Information Service System, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Scopus, PubMed. Additional data including study design, study topics, characteristics of participants and treatment, outcomes was extracted from full text of each study. Results There were nine studies about the catgut embedding related to obesity treatment. Five articles were conducted in China, two articles were conducted in Mexico, and two articles was published in Korea. Analysis of seven experimental studies and two observational studies were conducted to describe each research subject, method, and research results. Conclusions More interest and further research will be needed on catgut embedding related to obesity treatment in the Korean medicine to achieve clinical application and to develop treatment protocols for the obesity disease.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the current state and trends of health literacy research considering migrants living in South Korea. Methods: A review of the literature was conducted using electronic data base and citation tracking. A total of 82 articles were identified, of which 16 articles that met the inclusion criteria were selected for review. Two authors reviewed the articles independently using a matrix table and then examined four aspects of the studies jointly: research method, immigrant characteristics, health literacy assessment, and main findings. Results: Most of the articles (n=13) were descriptive studies and three were methodology studies for instrument development. Of the 13 studies, eight involved female immigrants, four of health literacy involved migrant workers, and four concerned North Korean Refugees. A total of eight types of health literacy assessment tools were used. Sufficient samples and sampling methods were lacking at the population level. Conclusion: The results of the review generally showed that the health literacy of immigrants was lower than that of native South Koreans, and that there was a difference between nationality and gender among immigrants; however, further research is needed to review a larger sample with a validated instrument.

This study is aimed to research the trend of studies on the evaluation of clothing fit using the domestic research journals. clothing fit has long been regarded as the most important element to customers in clothing appearance. Understanding fit from a consumer's perspective is complex. 85 articles were collected from domestic academic sites (KISS, DBpia, KiSTi). Many clothing fit articles published on the 2011-2016 year. In research target, young women were more than other age groups. On the evaluation of clothing fit, method of clothing fit classified survey using the questionnaire and wearing test. Many articles were used the survey using the questionnaire, 57.7%. The other articles were used wearing test with professional analyst and objective evaluation tool. Objective evaluation was used 3D virtual wearing systems (i-designer, DC suit, CLO et al). In the survey using the questionnaire and wearing test using the objective evaluation, jacket and pants were researched on the clothing items mainly. Many young women put on the jacket and pants to active energetically. In the future, researches related clothing fit need to develop the objective and accuracy evaluation tool of clothing fit.

The objective of this study is to analyze the research articles on clinical social work practice effectiveness to build a scientific and scholaristic image of clinical social work practice. The data for analysis were the articles published in 13 professional journals including Korean J. of Social Welfare in the period of 1979 to 1999. The appearance rate of effectiveness studies was 1.28% with only 18 articles. Experimental studies consisted only 4 out of 18, and there were only 10 Quasi-experimental studies. Statistical errors were observed in most studies, so it is too early to call that the clinical social work practice is either effective or not effective. In order to see the comprehensive trends of the clinical social work practice, other clinical papers were also examined. The appearance rate was also as low as 8.75% (effectiveness studies included). While 18 articles were about the therapy model, other clinical papers were about generic practice models. However, those newly developed generic practice models had not yet been widely used nor tested for effectiveness. Thus, the followings were suggested: active research activities with solid methodology, team work with the field, theory and method development, education and re-education, and collaborative team work with other related fields. It was also pointed that the cross analysis of research papers by the publishing period, authors major and other background variables would be useful.

The convergence of deep learning and smart factory is drawing a lot of attentions from not only industrial but also academic circles. The objective of this article is to quantitatively review on deep learning and smart factory from 2010 to 2023. This research analyzed the 138 articles, extracted from the Core Collection of Web of Science, in terms of four dimensions such as the main trend in article publications, the main trend in article citations, the distribution of article publications by research area, and the keywords representing the main contents of published articles. The quantitative review results reveal the following four points: First, the article publications drastically grew from 2019 to 2022 in its annual trend. Second, the article citations have rapidly grown since 2018. Third, Engineering, Computer Science, and Telecommunications are the top 3 research areas composing the 138 articles. Fourth, it is the top 10 keywords such as 'deep', 'learning', 'smart', 'detection', factory', 'data', 'system', 'manufacturing', 'neural', and 'network' that represent the main contents of the 138 articles published from 2010 to 2023 in deep learning and smart factory. These findings revealed by this quantitative review will be significantly useful for deepening and widening relevant future research on deep learning and smart factory.

Purpose: Dysmenorrhea is a common gynecologic condition among reproductive-age women. It consisted with menstrual clamps and other symptoms such as nausea. vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue. Pain control for this disease mainly through NASIDs. but recently CAM therapies, acupuncture and others for painful menstruation are widely used in western countries. But RCT articles about dysmenorrhea in Korea, are not enough to lead such global research trends. The purpose of this study is to review treatment method and other research tendency about dysmenorrhea in Korean Medicine(KM) related dominant journals. Methods: Searching was done through web site and directly searched dysmenorrhea related articles in journals of Korean medicine Gynecology, published during 1996-2007. Results: Twenty five articles were searched in KM related journals, then two of them were simple case report and ten were paper of clinical trials. But there no RCT or control group-designed study. All of them present positive effect on dysmenorrhea but drop out rates were relatively high. Conclusion: KM therapies including acupuncture and herbal medicine have some beneficial effect to resolve menstrual cramps, but KM therapy related Korean articles don't have strong objective power as a evidence in the viewpoint of EBM. So continuous clinical trials such as RCT and multi center trials are needed.

Objectives : As the number of patient with dementia increases, interest in mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which is a pre-dementia stage, has been expanding. In this study, we investigated the effects from selected clinical research articles to evaluate the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions. Methods : We searched MCI related articles on MEDLINE and the Web of Science using keywords related to MCI. We selected 26 articles, and 13 evaluated efficiency using the Jadad score. Results : Physical exercise and cognitive remediation techniques were effective for improving MCI. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, taichi, and music belonged to "perhaps" effectiveness group. Many of the 13 articles that evaluated MCI using the Jadad score evaluated them as "good" or "poor", and only three articles evaluated MCI as "excellent". Conclusions : The present evidence suggests that cognitive remediation techniques to improve memory and physical exercise were effective for people with MCI. However, further studies are needed to identify the physical exercise effects.
