Food Security and Nutrition Information and Knowledge Management in Case of Cambodia

  • Coordination has been identified as a concern in the cross-cutting issues of food security and nutrition (FSN) in Cambodia. Food Security and Nutrition Information System (FSNIS) in Cambodia is the only "entry portal" to support policy formulation and decision-making with regard to FSN. While this knowledge and information management system has earned a respectful reputation, Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) faces many challenges in the implementation of the system. This paper will present how FSNIS has been developed and impacts on policy or strategy related to FSN. In addition, sustainability of the system is a key challenge for FSNIS; yet it is interesting to see how it works. Along with a success story, FSNIS is recognized by its stakeholders as the most successful knowledge and information management system in the field of FSN in Cambodia.

  • 선거는 한 국가의 발전에 큰 영향을 미치는 중요한 행사이다. 국민들의 선거에 대한 관심은 해가 갈수록 증가하고 있고, 선거철마다 많은 여론이 형성되고 있다. 유권자들은 자신이 원하는 후보를 선정하기 위해 많은 후보자 정보를 살펴보아야한다. 올바른 판단을 위해서는 수많은 정치인과 정당에 대한 사전 분석이 필요할 것이다. 이는 시사나 정치에 대한 지속적인 관심이 요구되기 때문에 쉬운 일이 아니다. 그래서 후보자에 관한 기사나 공인된 온라인 토론에서의 정보를 검색하고 점수화하여, 투표자들이 후보를 결정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 2009년 말 아이폰의 국내출시부터 시작된 국내 스마트기기의 폭발적 증가세는 기존의 인터넷 커뮤니티와는 다른 개념의 새로운 인터넷 소통 공간의 탄생을 촉진시켰다. 사용자들이 매일 각종 스마트 기기로 SNS 공간에서 자신의 생각을 펼치면서, 대중의 생각을 파악하고 이를 자신의 목적에 사용하려고 하는 많은 이들이 SNS에 관심을 가지게 되었다. 그 중 정치인들은 여론의 흐름에 무척 민감한 만큼 SNS를 통해 국민의 요구와 의식을 읽으려고 하는데, 본 논문에서는 오피니언 마이닝을 통해 대표적인 SNS인 트위터에서 각 정치인들의 평판 및 정치인들 간에 순위를 간접적으로 알 수 있는 기법을 제안한다.

Power of SNS Authenticity on Company Reputation (기업명성과 SNS 진정성의 영향력 연구)

  • SNS is in the process of fast evolution as well. This study is about influence of authenticity and interactivity among Facebook Fan Page users. Authenticity is something people form in the process of expressing and sharing information thru SNS Facebook Fan Page. Interactivity is a level of participation of users in the process of expressing and sharing information thru SNS Facebook Fan Page. The focus of this paper is to see the power of authenticity and interactivity of SNS Facebook Fan Page users in a time of crisis. Authenticity is proven as a valuable asset for corporations for it showed a sturdy characteristic even when something terrible happened. When a crisis attacked, high authenticity user group was not willing to change their evaluation on a company reputation and image as much as low authenticity user group. Interestingly enough, the meaning interactivity level was strikingly different from what we expected. The more their level of interactivity, was the more they were likely to change their evaluation on a company in a time of crisis. A serious discussion is necessary for this contraty results.

  • Intelligent agent is to decide what customers need on the internet and offer them accurate information. In this paper, the system which can recommend the tourism items in terms of customer's needs is proposed by appling the intelligent agent to railway tourism system. Most of previous agents are focused on price. But, this study proposes the Railway tourism system which offers each customer the best suitable information based on quality of information and reputation. The customer's needs are analyzed through intelligent agent and the information which is suitable for customer's needs is obtained the Artificial Neural Network Model.

The Effectiveness of the Sanctions for Corporate Crime: Audit Review Evidence

  • In this paper, I propose monetary penalties imposed on firms sanctioned by the Financial Supervisory Service for fraudulent financial reporting in accounting and auditing enforcement release(FSS-sanctioned fraud firms) should be disclosed to the notes of financial statement of the firms. Disclosing to the notes of financial statement for FSS-sanctioned fraud firms is an effective way to inform all the related parties of the information which affects the value of the corporation. Even though monetary penalties can affect the value of the firms, however, this study suggests that monetary penalties imposed on the fraud firms have a question on the effectiveness of the sanctions. In addition, this study finds that the magnitude of the market reactions between the fraud firms imposed by monetary penalties and the fraud firms imposed by non-monetary penalties has no difference. Based on these results, the information of FSS-sanctioned fraud firms should be disclosed to the notes of financial statements to have the market react effectively.

Exploring Simultaneous Presentation in Online Restaurant Reviews: An Analysis of Textual and Visual Content

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of different types of simultaneous presentation (i.e., reviewer information, textual and visual content, and similarity between textual-visual contents) on review usefulness and review enjoyment in online restaurant reviews (ORRs), as they are interrelated yet have rarely been examined together in previous research. By using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling and state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) methodologies, we found that review readability in textual content and salient objects in images in visual content have a significant impact on both review usefulness and review enjoyment. Moreover, similarity between textual-visual contents was found to be a major factor in determining review usefulness but not review enjoyment. As for reviewer information, reputation, expertise, and location of residence, these were found to be significantly related to review enjoyment. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on ORRs and provides valuable implications for general users and managers in the hospitality and tourism industries.

  • Mutual savings banks have today met many difficulties because of various reasons. To overcome these difficulties, they have to change to be more customer centric and to adopt customer satisfaction management so that they can satisfy customers asking for diversified and professional service. This study aims to investigate the relationship between various dimensions of service quality and service performance such as customer satisfaction, customer trust, and repurchase intension. This study categorized service quality as interaction quality, outcome quality, and physical environment quality. Moreover, this study examined whether interest sensitivity and bank reputation had the moderating effects between service quality and service performance. The study results may provide practitioners and researchers in financial industry with some implications and guidelines for mutual savings banks' competitiveness.

Long-Term Relationship Strategies Between Retailer and Suppliers for the Effective Supply Chain Management: Retailer Perspectives toward Food Manufacturers (제조업체와 유통업체간의 장기적 협력관계 구축을 통한 공급사슬관리 방안 : 식품제조업을 대상으로 한 소매업체 관점)

  • The paradigm of the corporate innovations has been changed from the intra-company innovations to the inter-company innovations. A prevalent approach to the inter-company innovations is the supply chain management. Three key words of the core concept of supply chain management are the long-term relationship, resource integration, and value creation. Specifically, it means that the supply chain management aims to make value creation through the resource integration for the supply chain entities, based on the long-term relationship between buyers and sellers. To make more effective long-term relationship among the supply chain entities, it is very important for the supply chain entities to analyze followings: i) What variables can influence the long-term relationship, ii) How these variables can influence to the long-term relationship. However, previous researches mostly deals the long-term relationship in the marketing area in fragment, and thus few research efforts have been done for the development of conceptual model using supply chain management theories. In contrast to previous studies, our research tried to develop and examine the integrative research model by introducing both the marketing theories and the supply chain management theories, and thus related hypotheses are derived. A multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the influence of the antecedents of the long-term relationship, for the 87 retailers of grocery supply chains. The empirical results confirm that cultural similarity, reputation, interdependency, and trust positively influence long-term relationship (i.e., partnership orientation and partnership symmetry). And results also confirm that the supply implementation factors such as organization integration, information system integration, and process integration playa moderating role between antecedents and long-term relationship. These findings suggest that companies should perceive the importance of managing the process, organization, information system integration in the long-term relationship implementation process as well as the factors such as cultural similarity, reputation, interdependency, and trust in the long-term relationship establishment process.
