  • After the "spatial turn" space narrative has become the hottest "doctrine". Howe er, the current space narrative to a bottleneck stage, a variety of reasons. "Spatial turn" of the modern trend of thought has a unshirkable responsibility. Has been, scholars turned to "empty" the complex relationship between space narrative and, type of narrative space narrative theory problem also not too clear by the noun, the term textual research, narrative of space studies provide some of the necessary theoretical support, to promote the healthy de elopment of the research on novel narrative space.

  • This study shows that there is an essential difference between colors of animation and live action film through the expressive colors of 2D animation as distinct from three dimension space. While live action film has an obvious object of representation, the image of 2D animation is a creature made by human without the process of mechanical representation. And this is revealed sharply in the expressive colors of 2D animation. Therefore the expressive colors of 2D animation are the important points in which the autonomous meaning of animation image is revealed.

  • The residence plan of Korea has been formed with bias for quantitative growth and uniformity failing at obtaining human value. Also, rapid growth brought about severe problems of deteriorated human life and destruction of environment. The solution for these problems is pursued in many directions, but there is short of active plan yet. The residence shall develop into new direction to satisfy the demand by reflecting society and culture as well as residents. This study examines external design with symbolic representation of regional feature as an alternative for uniform residence environment problem. This study will be a basic data upon suggesting the direction for planning high quality residence environment. This study examined the elements which form external space of residence complex, designed plan for external space of residence complex, and examined how to reflect regional feature which is important element of local community and culture on the space plan for residence complex based on the evaluation by local residents centered on Gimcheon-si, Gyeongbuk which just started local specialty by fostering. • In this paper, a new learning methodology for kernel methods that results in a sparse representation of kernel space from the training patterns for classification problems is suggested. Among the traditional algorithms of linear discriminant function, this paper shows that the relaxation procedure can obtain the maximum margin separating hyperplane of linearly separable pattern classification problem as SVM(Support Vector Machine) classifier does. The original relaxation method gives only the necessary condition of SV patterns. We suggest the sufficient condition to identify the SV patterns in the learning epoches. For sequential learning of kernel methods, extended SVM and kernel discriminant function are defined. Systematic derivation of learning algorithm is introduced. Experiment results show the new methods have the higher or equivalent performance compared to the conventional approach.

  • The represented Design Language have to include design meaning by functions in Interior. It also is able to easy and quick to understand in conversation for the design proposal. In this study, 6 stages suggest for the basic forming image in Interior Design. Those are form, line, space, color, material and principles of design. And essential image language arranged by preceding research. The fundamental 6 elements of space are used for explanation with the minimum method to make consumer understand through some image. Image has the communication function as a visual conversation in Space Design. The purpose of using the image language is the exchange into communication by written visual image. In order to it is necessary to delivery correct meaning of Interior Design for the understand between consumer and designer for the suggestion through images. Therefore, making categories for representation-language from image features of interior design is a important research with the value to share the spatial pattern. It will be expected to add the spatial Image language by processing with new trend.

  • Few samples face recognition has become a highly challenging task due to the limitation of available labeled samples. As two popular paradigms in face image representation, sparse component analysis is highly robust while parts-based paradigm is particularly flexible. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic generative model to incorporate the strengths of the two paradigms for face representation. This model finds a common spatial partition for given images and simultaneously learns a sparse component analysis model for each part of the partition. The two procedures are built into a probabilistic generative model. Then we derive the score function (i.e. feature mapping) from the generative score space. A similarity measure is defined over the derived score function for few samples face recognition. This model is driven by data and specifically good at representing face images. The derived generative score function and similarity measure encode information hidden in the data distribution. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we perform few samples face recognition on two face datasets. The results show its advantages.

  • Euclidean Voronoi diagram of spheres in 3-dimensional space has not been explored as much as it deserves even though it has significant potential impacts on diverse applications in both science and engineering. In addition, studies on the data structure for its topology have not been reported yet. Presented in this, paper is the topological representation for Euclidean Voronoi diagram of spheres which is a typical non-manifold model. The proposed representation is a variation of radial edge data structure capable of dealing with the topological characteristics of Euclidean Voronoi diagram of spheres distinguished from those of a general non-manifold model and Euclidean Voronoi diagram of points. Various topological queries for the spatial reasoning on the representation are also presented as a sequence of adjacency relationships among topological entities. The time and storage complexities of the proposed representation are analyzed.

  • As a period of pluralism, today's museum architecture has been expanding social and cultural meaning. So, Various expressions are appearing in museum architecture. Accordingly, the museum must be very reproducible and comply with aesthetic requirements. At the same time, museum construction in urban design and features must satisfy professional requirements. SANAA is one of contemporary architects has been decisively deleted existing fixed and functional layout type of program through 'The new hierarchy'. Thus, the experience of the space will vary. Now, museum space is urgently needed than ever before crustal movements. Thus, this study aims to contribute an alternative to the museum space configuration according to the trend of the times through 'The new hierarchy' of SANAA. This paper is limited to the cases of the SANAA's museum architecture. We analyze the characteristics of representation on 'The new hierarchy' appear in the museum space configuration and then, examine the value of the spatial. SANAA's 'New Hierarchy' is going to set the cognitive boundary by expression targeting plane and the surface. It is completely different than the previous boundaries. Characteristics of the expression represents non-centrality, decentrally, non-oriented, uncertainty, non-territorialization, uniformity. It is steady that identity of Space, Human, Environment in Museum. They have a relationship each concept of Independence, autonomy, equality.

  • With the globalization of the film industry, ethnic minority films have been developed and studied by many scholars for their special ethnic representation. The film "Tharlo" directed by Pema Tseden carefully explores the identity anxiety of a Tibetan shepherd. Through the connection and separation between the protagonist and traditional culture, it shows a complexity of modern ethnic identity for minority people. This study explores what kind of cinematic techniques and symbolic elements the director uses to shape ordinary characters, build a narrative space, and show ethnic representation. This paper puts forward a theoretical framework combining cinematic quantitative methods with qualitative narrative and semiotic analysis, aiming to deepen our understanding of cinematic techniques and ethnic representation, and provides a new perspective and profound insights for discussing the complexity faced by ethnic minorities in contemporary films. This study finds that Tseden's "Tharlo" successfully portrays the complex transformation of Tibetan cultural identity in the context of globalization and modernization through cinematic techniques such as fixed camera positions, long take and black-and-white cinematography, combined with the use of symbolic elements like mirrors, lambs and identity cards.
