  • The goal of this study is to find ways to improve the open access publication support service platform through the usability evaluation of the publishing manager interface among the AccessON journal repository interfaces, which is an open access publication support service platform. Various documents and cases related to open access publishing and usability evaluation in order to answer three research questions: collection of user experience responses of interface, extraction of issues and improvement points, and analysis and derivation of suggestions for other open access publication support service platforms. Responses to the experience of using the publishing manager interface were collected through surveys and focus group interviews. Combining this, it was possible to present the results of the usability evaluation of the AccessON journal repository interface through various numerical information. The results of the usability evaluation made it possible to propose issues and improvements to the AccessON journal repository manager interface, and finally, it was possible to derive suggestions for the open access academic publishing support service platform to be developed later.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the data repository certification scheme and to propose a strategy to promote Coretrustseal certification. The certification system to be analyzed includes Coretrustseal, RatSWD, CLARIN certificate B, DIN 31644, ISO 16363, TDR and nestor. Among them, Coretrustseal certification is a core certification system that meets the standards and requirements of other certifications. Therefore, in this study, the Coretrustseal certification promotion strategy was proposed step by step. The proposed certification promotion strategy includes a list of research data policies and guidelines and examples of certification applications for use by institutions that operate domestic data repositories. Through this CTS certification process, each institution can secure research data policies and guidelines, and when CTS certification is obtained, it is judged that international reliability of the data repository can be secured.

  • Sharing and reusing data has become essential. Data repositories are a key tool for sharing and reusing this data. The purpose of this study is to propose the service of EcoBank, which is being built and operated by the National Institute of Ecology. To achieve the research purpose, 10 out of 123 foreign data repositories in the field of ecology registered on re3data.org were selected, investigated, and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, three services were derived in common. The three services consist of first, research data policy, second, research data quality review, and research data management training and workshops. Here, in order to share EcoBank's global data, it is necessary to register with a data repository registry such as re3data.org, and it is proposed that certification be promoted to ensure the reliability and quality of the repository.

  • The institutional repository and linked data share a purpose, co-creation and joint usage of information resources. Therefore, a new approach linking these two concepts can be utilized for co-production and utilization of resources. This study hoped to configure the Korean dCollection repository as linked data. For this purpose, first, we analyzed the current data structure of dColleciton. Second, we investigated the resource types which dCollection is targeting. Third, we focused and analyzed a case study of resource types targeted by dCollection constructed as linked data. Fourth, this study examined in detail how to build the linked dCollection data and how to connect this linked data to the linked cloud. Finally, we discussed the problems that might oc cur in the process of building the linked data.

  • The paper discusses the nature of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs) and shows how these can support digital library users. It demonstrates processes related to integration of KOS like the Dewey Decimal Classification, $22^{nd}$ edition (DDC22) in DSpace software (http://www.dspace.org/) for organizing and retrieving (browsing and searching) scholarly objects. An attempt has been made to use the DDC22 available in Bengali language and highlights the required mechanisms for system-level integration. It may help a repository administrator to build an IDR (Institutional Digital Repository) integrated with SKOS-enabled multilingual subject access systems for supporting subject descriptors based indexing (DC.Subject metadata element), structured navigation (browsing) and efficient searching.

  • In this study, a study on the cooperative system of the Chungnam Library's joint preservation data center and a plan for the construction of the use service was proposed based on the analysis of the current status of the preservation library of the Chungcheongnam-do public library. In order to establish a cooperative plan for the joint preservation archive and to promote the provision of services, the current state of the collection of 62 public libraries in Chungnam-do and the status of the preservation archives that are operating separately were identified. As a result of the study, it was found that all matters related to the operation of the joint preservation archive should be made through agreements or consultations between the participants, and the operation of the joint preservation archive should also be made under a systematic cooperation system between the participants. To this end, it is necessary to establish a cooperative system for the Chungnam Library Joint Preservation Archives, and to form and operate the Joint Preservation Archives Steering Committee, a consultative body (cooperation network). In addition, all matters related to the operation of the Joint Preservation Archive, such as transfer criteria, must be regulated and implemented through consultation with the Joint Preservation Archive Steering Committee.

  • To improve the dCollection system, it is suggested that the usability tests of the dCollection system are needed to find out whether submitters or IR managers are satisfied with the system or not. For the usability evaluations, we used sixty participants, thirty for its management module and thirty for its submit and retrieval modules and for its test constructed the five evaluation indicators including architectural/visual clarity and effectiveness. Based on the results of the usability tests, some improvements in terms of supportiveness, usefulness and visual clarity were suggested.

  • This study endeavors to delineate the essential components of digital preservation policies requisite for data repositories. Drawing from an examination of digital preservation policies from data repositories accredited by CoreTrustSeal in 2023, this study unveils the pivotal components intrinsic to a digital preservation policy framework, subsequently elucidating the content each component encompasses. The proffered framework is anticipated to serve as a foundational reference for institutions aiming to craft their digital preservation policies, transcending the confines of those solely pursuing CoreTrustSeal certification, to encompass both domestic and international institutions irrespective of their intent to seek CoreTrustSeal certification.

  • OAK(Open Access Korea) is a national repository project to support free access to Korea's open access knowledge information. However various problems and limitations are recognized when organizing and sharing metadata with OAK-IR system. This study aims to suggest a modified metadata standard to improve the quality of OAK metadata. To the end, this study analyzed all metadata elements used by OAK participating organizations and compared the metadata with the metadata of other typical repository systems. In details, metadata organized in 17 OAK participating organizations were analyzed with their metadata specifications, input data examples, and practitioner interviews. And a case study on DSpace, EPrints, BEPress, ETD-db, dCollection was conducted. The final modified OAK metadata elements were suggested through group discussion and coordination by the practitioners of OAK participating organizations, OAK supervisors, and the developers of OAK-IR system.
