  • A defect dispute surrounding an apartment building is in constant trouble, a defect consulting is necessary that objective and impartial for solving a defect. The defect dispute about a defect lawsuit is conducted in the order that filling of lawsuit, consulting order, defect inspecting, estimating a repairing cost, writing a consulting report, submitting a consulting report, and decision by court. Of these, a step of defect inspecting is extensively investigated an occurred defect that each defect index and type from each part and place. At this time, it is collected of many data and created many information. For this, it need to organize and manage. The study is a modeling of field investigation work process that second phase of defect inspecting step. A literature study is defined a work until level 2. This study is defined the work until level 3 to 4. In addition, the modeling can do for using a job name, a place to job, a job to do, and a person concerned about defect consulting case. The modeling is expected a contribution of improving a defect consulting process and systematizing a judgment standard.

Fiber Reinforced Inlay Adhesion Bridge

  • FRC/ceromer system provides the clinician with a durable, flexible, and esthetic alternative to conventional porcelain fused to metal crowns. FRC is the matrix which is silica-coated and embedded in a resin matrix. The ceromer material which is a second generation indirect composite resin contains silanized, microhybrid inorganic fillers embedded in a light-curing organic matrix. FRC/ceromer restoration has a several advantages: better shock absorption, less wear of occluding teeth, translucency, color stability, bonding ability to dental hard tissues, and resiliency. It has versatility of use including inlay, onlay, single crown, and esthetic veneers. With adhesive technique, it can be used for single tooth replacement in forms of inlay adhesion bridge. In single tooth missing case, conventional PFM bridge has been used for esthetic restoration. However, this restoration has several disadvantages such as high cost, potential framework distortion during fabrication, and difficulty in repairing fractures. Inlay adhesion bridge with FRC/ceromer would be a good alternative treatment plan. This article describes a cases restored with Targis/Vectris inlay adhesion bridge. Tooth preparation guide, fabrication procedure, and cementation procedure of this system will be dealt. The strength/weakness of this restoration will be mentioned, also. If it has been used appropriately in carefully selected case, it can satisfy not only dentist's demand of sparing dental hard tissue but also patient's desire of seeking a esthetic restorations with a natural appearance.

펨토초 레이저를 이용한 실리콘 웨이퍼 표면 미세가공 특성 (Micromachining of the Si Wafer Surface Using Femtoseocond Laser Pulses)

  • An experimental study of the femtosecond laser machining of Si materials was carried out. Direct laser machining of the materials for the feature size of a few micron scale has the advantage of low cost and simple process comparing to the semiconductor process, E-beam lithography, ECM and other machining process. Further, the femtosecond laser is the better tool to machine the micro parts due to its characteristics of minimizing the heat affected zone(HAZ). As a result of line cutting of Si, the optimal condition had the region of the effective energy of 2mJ/mm-2.5mJ/mm with the power of 0.5mW-1.5mW. The polarization effects of the incident beam existed in the machining qualities, therefore the sample motion should be perpendicular to the projection of the electric vector. We also observed the periodic ripple patterns which come out in condition of the pulse overlap with the threshold energy. Finally, we could machined the groove with the linewidth of below $2{\mu}m$ for the application of MEMS device repairing, scribing and arbitrary patterning.

Reliability-based assessment of damaged concrete buildings

  • Damages in concrete structures due to aging and other factors could be a serious and immense matter. Making the best selection of the most viable and practical repairing and strengthening techniques are relatively difficult tasks using traditional methods of structural analyses. This is due to the fact that the traditional methods used for assessing aging structure are not fully capable when considering the randomness in strength, loads and cost. This paper presents a reliability-based methodology for assessing reinforced concrete members. The methodology of this study is based on probabilistic analysis, using statistics of the random variables in the performance function equations. Principles of reliability updating are used in the assessment process, as new information is taken into account and combined with prior probabilistic models. The methodology can result in a reliability index ${\beta}$ that can be used to assess the structural component by comparing its value with a standard value. In addition, these methods result in partial safety factor values that can be used for the purpose of strengthening the R/C elements of the existing structure. Calculations and computations of the reliability indices and the partial safety factors values are conducted using the First-order Reliability Method and Monte Carlo simulation.

지하매설 배관의 보수를 위한 로봇시스템 개발 (Development of a Robot System for Repairing a Underground Pipe)

  • 국내의 배관시설은 약 30년이 지난 지금 배관의 노후화에 따른 부식 및 결함 등이 나타나기 시작하고 있다. 저비용 고효율의 노후관 갱생을 위한 배관 로봇시스템 개발에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 배관의 탐사, 표면처리와 도장기술 및 열악한 작업환경에서의 고장에 강인한 로봇시스템 구성은 배관 로봇의 중요한 요인으로 알려져 있다. 지하매설 배관의 관리는 경제적 부담과 고도의 기술이 요구되는 실정에 업체에서 쉽게 대응하기 어려운 실정이다. 이러한 이유로 인하여 본 논문에서는 로봇의 노후관 탐사, 표면처리 및 도장이 가능한 로봇 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 로봇은 벽면 압착방식을 이용하여 구동력 및 작업을 위한 견인력을 확보하였다.

난방방식에 따른 아파트 관리비용의 실태에 관한 연구 - 대전광역시를 대상으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Management Costs of Apartment Complexes by the Types of Heating Systems)

  • 본 연구는 대전광역시의 아파트단지 중 150세대이상 128개 아파트단지를 대상으로 2011년 3/4분기에 부과된 관리비 자료를 수집하여 연구하였다. 아파트 관리비는 난방방식에 따라 차이가 발생할 것이다는 가설을 가지고 연구에 접근하였다. 연구 결과를 도출하기 위하여 SPSS를 이용하여 다중회귀분석으로 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째로 아파트 특성에 따른 관리비에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 공통적으로 관리면적, 입주년도, 난방방식이 관리비에 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 둘째로 난방방식에 따른 일반관리비, 경비비, 수선유지비의 경우는 개별난방방식이 유리하고, 청소비는 난방방식과 차이를 보이지 않고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Social infrastructure such as production, transportation, gas, and electrical facilities would be degraded according to time and those facilities might need more maintenances, repairing, and management as time goes by. Especially, in the case of a power transformer, it is important to diagnose the transformer in order to avoid malfunction and failure because they could cause enormous damage. The economic as well as technical aspects of a transformer management must be considered while it is operated. Therefore, the concept of asset management should be applied as an advanced method of transformer management. Asset management refers to a series of processes to make a plan of maintenance and conservation of a power transformer considering the soundness, investment cost, and importance of equipment. It is important to apply the asset management considering calculation of a lifetime loss. In this paper, the lifetime loss calculation method of asset management for a power transformer is suggested.

Rayleigh wave for detecting debonding in FRP-retrofitted concrete structures using piezoelectric transducers

  • Applications of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for retrofitting, strengthening and repairing concrete structures have been expanded dramatically in the last decade. FRPs have high specific strength and stiffness compared to conventional construction materials, e.g., steel. Ease of preparation and installation, resistance to corrosion, versatile fabrication and adjustable mechanical properties are other advantages of the FRPs. However, there are major concerns about long-term performance, serviceability and durability of FRP applications in concrete structures. Therefore, structural health monitoring (SHM) and damage detection in FRP-retrofitted concrete structures need to be implemented. This paper presents a study on investigating the application of Rayleigh wave for detecting debonding defect in FRP-retrofitted concrete structures. A time-of-flight (ToF) method is proposed to determine the location of a debonding between the FRP and concrete using Rayleigh wave. A series of numerical case studies are carried out to demonstrate the capability of the proposed debonding detection method. In the numerical case studies, a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model is developed to simulate the Rayleigh wave propagation and scattering at the debonding in the FRP-retrofitted concrete structure. Absorbing layers are employed in the 3D FE model to reduce computational cost in simulating the practical size of the FRP-retrofitted structure. Different debonding sizes and locations are considered in the case studies. The results show that the proposed ToF method is able to accurately determine the location of the debonding in the FRP-retrofitted concrete structure.

무인항공기의 설계사용 수명판단을 위한 RAM-c 적용 연구 (A Research of Applying RAM-c to Analyze the Design Service Life for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintenance) has been applied to design and analysis tools which affects system's operational sustainability and its life cycle cost as RAM-c(2009 DoD). RAM-c plays also an important role to guarantee the system engineering for mission assurance. Reliability is highly related to the probability of system failure. Availability means mission capability or the condition of ready to mission. Maintenance includes both the repair to recover the system in the event of failure/unexpected breakdown and proactive maintenance to prolong the design service life of the system or machinery. It is the purpose that this paper is to analyze and conclude the objective service life of UAV. The more UAV is operated, the less the level of its reliability becomes. Repairing failures and supplying spare parts on time, system reliability could be improved up until the time over target. Applying statistical Weibull distributions, this paper suggests the analysis of the design service life and economic life of UAV based on RAM-c with operational data.

산업시설 배관 노후도 평가를 위한 배관 섹션화 방안 연구 (A Study of the Sectionalizing for Pipe Deterioration Evaluation in Industrial Facilities)

  • In general, no particularly well-established standards have been in place so far, for the method of evaluating the deteriorated level of pipes and ducts of industrial facilities. For that reason, the evaluation depends upon various studies which are based on the analysis of the residual life, thickness thinning, closure rate, and scale thickness that measure a few specific positions of pipes. It also depends upon the expertise in business operation and the specific techniques conducted by the inspection companies and institutions. This research introduces the concept of measuring units per section and the selection method of measurement points per section. Furthermore, specific methodologies were developed to plan and analyze deterioration level of industrial pipes and ducts by engineers and managers using a section map. Consequently, applying the outcomes from this study to the plant equipment of the incineration facility resulted in saving 42% of the repairing and remodeling cost.
