It takes 2 or 3 months to manufacture memory device. Defect has to exist owing to hundreds of processes. If there are too many defects, the memory has to be rejected. But if there are a few defects, it will be more efficient and cost reducing for the company to use it by repairing. Therefore, laser-repair process is needed for such a reason and redundancy analysis is needed to establish correct target of laser-repair process. The equipment development company had provided the redundancy analysis and each development company had developed and provided separately. So, to analyze the similar type of defects, redundancy analysis time can be very different by the manufacture. The purpose of this research is to strengthen the competitive price and to apply correlation concept in business for reducing the redundancy analysis time to repair the defects

In hot forming process, the dies in which excessive worn or crack occurs is reused after repair. Generally hot forming dies are recycled through a welding repair method. Welding repair methods are highly dependent on the skills of engineer. It causes process defects such as dimensional defects and structural defects. Recently, the metal 3D printing method has been applied to the repair of used dies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the wear characteristics of AISI H13 tool steel repaired by 3D printing method. Three kinds of wear specimens were fabricated by using 3D printing, welding, and initial material. A pin-on-disk wear test was carried out to evaluate the wear characteristics. From the result of wear test, the wear characteristics of 3D printing method was superior to that of the welded material, and was similar to that of the initial material.
Korea Gas Corporation has operated high pressure gas transmission line of about 600 kilometers and, therefore, a series of repair welding processes are required in order to cope with external defects such as dent, gouge, cracking usually due to mechanical attacks. Most of gas pipelines repair processes are performed after completely venting remaining gas. However, in some case, though it is very unusual, repairs require without venting gas. For instance, this case is that damaged pipeline is remedied with split sleeve by welding. In this paper, in an effort to confirm a safe application of the split sleeve welding, residual stress, strain and temperature distributions are evaluated by computer simulation and experiments. The results obtained are as follows : 1) Computer modelling is supposed to be reasonable because microstructure changes due to welding is simulated coincidently as compare to that of real condition. 2) The maximal temperature on inside surface of pipeline is 50$0^{\circ}C$ for the repair welding process. 3) The amount of residual stress is estimated as the stress corresponding to 0.8% strain. 4) The repair process employed is determined to be technically preferable because of its avoiding cracks and fractures in the course of welding.

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) in the large-scale road section usually have typical characteristics of large number of vehicles and unevenly distribution over geographic spaces. These two inherent characteristics lead to the unsatisfactory performance of VANETs. This poor performance is mainly due to fragile communication link and low dissemination efficiency. We propose a novel routing mechanism to address the issue in the paper, which includes a competition-based routing discovery with priority metrics and a local routing repair strategy. In the routing discovery stage, the algorithm uses adaptive scheme to select a stable route by the priorities of routing metrics, which are the length of each hop, as well as the residual lifetime of each link. Comparisons of different ratios over link length and link stability further show outstanding improvements. In the routing repair process, upstream and downstream nodes also compete for the right to establish repair process and to remain as a member of the active route after repair. Our simulation results confirm the improved performance of the proposed algorithm.

Since the contents of large-scale repair of a condominium were various, a plan document was not prepared. The owners association of the condominium has given priority to decision-making of price priority over quality. Examination is not performed about the contents of the construction supervision business, which checks whether suitable construction is performed, either. On the other hand, the know-how for builders, such as decision of the process plan under which the repair work lessens influence to the safety and life as much as possible since the place where the resident is living turns into a construction site, and selection of a method of construction, is just going to ask. It is an important subject how the structure of the construction contractor selection, which considered quality, is built. Then, this research focuses on large-scale repair construction of the condominium, and arranges the actual condition of a series of processes from plan document creation to construction supervision. The method of research collects the construction documents of the condominium that carried out Barge-scale repair construction. Next, collection arrangement of the data of construction builder selection is carried out. The method of the construction builder selection of those other than a construction price is examined. The method of quality control of large-scale repair construction is examined.
In this paper, a composite maintenance robot using carbon fiber spray method was developed that automatically sprays mixture was created for repair to damaged areas to repair them. To develop a robot, a repair process was developed in which a mixture of milled carbon fiber, epoxy resin, and hardener is sprayed and consolidated on the damaged area. To automate the repair process, an EOAT based on a collaborative robot was developed that can automatically suction and spray the mixture onto the damaged area. To evaluate the repair performance of the robot, 0° and 90° unidirectional specimens were manufactured and tested in accordance with ASTM D3039. Tests were performed on undamaged specimen, damaged specimen, and repaired specimen by a robot after damaged. As a result of the specimen test, the tensile strength of the 0° and 90° specimens was recovered by 10% and 90% after repair. Based on the test results, the repair performance of the developed composite maintenance robot was verified.

We consider a multiechelon repairable-item inventory system where several bases are supported by a central depot and the external repair facilities. Unlike METRIC- based models, there are only a finite number of repair channels at each base, central depot and the external repair facilities. It is desired to find repair capacities and spares level which together guarantee a specified service level at minimum cost. Closed queueing network theory is used to model the stochastic process. The purpose of this paper is to derive the steady-state distributions of this system.
In this paper, the properties on the optimal replacement policies for the general failure model are developed. In the general failure model, two types of system failures may occur : one is Type I failure (minor failure) which can be removed by a minimal repair and the other, Type II failure (catastrophic failure) which can be removed only by complete repair. It is assumed that, when the unit fails, Type I failure occurs with probability 1-p and Type II failure occurs with probability p, $0\leqp\leq1$. Under the model, the system is minimally repaired for each Type I failure, and it is repaired completely at the time of the Type II failure or at its age T, whichever occurs first. We further assume that the repair times are non-negligible. It is assumed that the minimal repair times in a renewal cycle consist of a strictly increasing geometric process. Under this model, we study the properties on the optimal replacement policy minimizing the long-run average cost per unit time.
To understand the role of hemocytes in the shell repair process, a hole was drilled in the right valves of the Pacific oyster, Crassostrea gigas, and the repair process was observed. Histological observations suggested that the exterior surface of the shell was repaired by aggregated hemocytes. The nuclei of the hemocytes were cleary stained in the regenerated shell while appearing fragmented after calcification at the $7^{th}$ day. Globular calcium granules were genegenerated from the hemocytic monolyer after 6 days of incubation which were morphologically and chemically identical with those from prismatic shell. Our finding suggested that the repaired prismatic shell was composed by aggregated hemocytes and that their endogenous calcium component might support the nucleation of calcium biomineralization during shell repair.

This study dealt with the manufacturing process of self-healing microcapsules for damage repair in polymeric composites. The microcapsule was consisted with a DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) as the healing agent and a urea-formaldehyde resin as the wall section. The size distribution of microcapsules were measured by a particle size analyzer using a laser diffraction technique. Thermal stability of microcapsules was investigated by using a TGA under continuous and isothermal heating conditions. According to the results, these microcapsules were verified to be to thermally stable and have a great potential to be applicable for damage repair in polymeric composites.
