  • Currently, the existing schedule management of ship repair has depended on hand-written notes of engineering manager in the repair ship yard. Simple management based on the hand-written notes is inefficient because current states of equipments and staff are not graspable in real-time. To solve this problem, the ICT based scheduling method is required in ship repair industry. In this paper, we propose a system based on ICT which manages schedules for repairing ships. The proposed system solves the problem occurred by the management to use the hand-written notes. Because the system has a function to report the current state of ship repair, it is able to cope with various problems, such as delay, wrong repair and so on. Moreover, the system is able to maximize the efficiency of ship repair process due to efficient management to staff and equipment.

  • Despite the rapid expansion and diversification of the global ship repair and shipbuilding market, the domestic ship repair and shipbuilding industry is losing competitiveness due to a lack of infrastructure compared to its high technology level, concentration of new markets, aging technology personnel, lack of IT systems, and small businesses. Although attempts have been made to develop information systems at a very low level compared to other industries, there are few successful cases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand the necessity of strategic integration and organizational integration from the perspective of informatization in the ship repair and shipbuilding industry through a survey of companies operating in Busan. After that, through face-to-face interviews with major repair shipyard companies in Busan, the direction of the development of the information system of the ship repair and shipbuilding industry was derived. The results of this study are expected to enhance the need for digital conversion of the ship repair and shipbuilding industry in the future and provide a significant direction for the establishment and application process of information systems.

  • Traditional wall is ground coat, twice plater, last plaster by such a process has made a wide variety of used materials and techniques are accordingly diverse. These traditional techniques handed down the traditional walls of the techniques, rather than coming to the lowered cut off at any moment from now when the technique is used, not knowing whether to be used. Repair and restore cultural property maintenance work, it is not only the outward form hiding inside it is a technique to keep the preservation of cultural assets can be called true. When viewed from the side walls of these conventional techniques to reveal changes in the traditional process by looking at the changes in technology with traditional techniques for cause shall be made in stock. This paper is from the late Joseon Japanese occupation of techniques ranging from traditional wall to reveal the change process to its current significance of cultural property repair method to be helped.

  • Aerospace industries are widely using honeycomb sandwich structures that it has high specific strength and stiffness, chemical material resistance and fatigue resistance. But, in repairing process of damaged areas, one of the problems is that delamination can be occurred in the sound areas during and/or after the exposure to the elevated curing temperature in case that the repair process is repeated. Therefore, this study was conducted Flatwise tensile, Drum peel and Long beam flexural strength tests to evaluate the degree of degradation of mechanical properties of the honeycomb sandwich structures by affecting thermal aging. As the results, the decrease of mechanical strength was observed at the specific specimen which is exposed over 50hrs at $127^{\circ}C$.

  • Various kinds of accessories(e.g., clock, radio, automatic door locks, alarm devices, etc.) or unit components (e.g., black box, navigation system, alarm, private audio, etc.) require dark current even when the vehicle power is turned off. However, accessories or unit components can be the causes of excessive dark current generation. It results in battery discharge and the vehicle's failure to start. Therefore, immediate detection of abnormal dark current and response are very important for a successful repair job. In this paper, we can increase the maintenance efficiency by presenting a standardized diagnostic process for the measurement of the dark current and the existing problem. As a result of the absence of a system to block the dark current in a vehicle, diagnosis and repair were performed immediately by using a standardized dark current diagnostic process.

  • This paper proposes a defect cell extraction algorithm for TFT-LCD auto-repair system. Auto defect search algorithm and automatic defect cell extraction method are very important for TFT-LCD auto repair system. In the previous literature[1], we proposed an automatic visual inspection algorithm of TFT-LCD. Based on the inspected information(defect size and defect axis, if defect exists) by the automatic search algorithm, defect cells should be extracted from the input image for the auto repair system. For automatic extraction of defect cells, we used a novel block matching algorithm and a simple filtering process in order to find a given reference point in the LCD cell. The proposed defect cell extraction algorithm can be used in all kinds of TFT-LCD devices by changing a stored template which includes a given reference point. Various experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Although total meniscectomy had been performed as a treatment of meniscal tear, many published articles reported progression of the degeneration process in the articular cartilage and development of the osteoarthritis after meniscectomy. With the increased knowledge of the biomechanical properties of the meniscus, meniscal repair has been performed increasingly to maintain the important functions of the meniscus. Outside-in, inside-out, all-inside technique have been used as meniscal repair methods. In this review, indications, operative technique, and outcomes of the all-inside meniscal repair are discussed.

  • Texture synthesis technology has the advantages of repairing texture and structure at the same time. However, during the filling process, the size of the patch is fixed, and the content of the filling is not fully considered. In order to be able to adaptively change the patch size, we used the exemplar-based inpainting technique as the test algorithm, considering the image structure and texture, calculated the image structure patch size and texture patch size, and comprehensively determined the image patch size. This can adaptively change the patch size according to the filling content. In addition, we use multi-layer images to calculate the priority, so that the order of image repair was more stable. The proposed repair algorithm is compared with other image repair algorithms. The experimental results showed that the proposed adaptive image repair algorithm can better repair the texture and structure of the image, which proved the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Background: This study evaluated the efficacy of the endoscopic medial orbital wall repair by comparing it with the conventional transcaruncular method. This surgical approach differs from the established endoscopic technique in that we push the mesh inside the orbit rather than placing it over the defect. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 40 patients with isolated medial orbital blowout fractures who underwent medial orbital wall reconstruction. Twenty-six patients underwent endoscopic repair, and 14 patients underwent external repair. All patients had preoperative computed tomography scans taken to determine the defect size. Pre- and postoperative exophthalmometry, operation time, the existence of diplopia, and pain were evaluated and compared between the two methods. We present a case showing our procedure. Results: The operation time was significantly shorter in the endoscopic group (44.7 minutes vs. 73.9 minutes, p= 0.035). The preoperative defect size, enophthalmos correction rate, and pain did not significantly differ between the two groups. All patients with preoperative diplopia, eyeball movement limitation, or enophthalmos had their symptoms resolved, except for one patient who had preexisting strabismus. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that endoscopic medial orbital wall repair is not inferior to the transcaruncular method. The endoscopic approach seems to reduce the operation time, probably because the dissection process is shorter, and no wound repair is needed. Compared to the previous endoscopic method, our method is not complicated, and is more physiological. Larger scale studies should be performed for validation.

  • Reinforced concrete structures are an integrated structure in which reinforcing bars are placed on the tensile side of the beam to compensate for concrete that is strong in compression but weak in tension, so that the concrete receives compressive force and the reinforcing bars receive tensile force. It is durable, fire-resistant, economical, and adapts to the shape and dimensions of the structure. It has been widely used for a long time because it can be made freely without restrictions. However, reinforced concrete structures have the disadvantage that cracks occur easily, so they are repaired using a cross-sectional construction method. During this process, problems such as the repair part falling off occurred, so in order to solve the problem, stress changes due to changes in the size of the repair part were examined. As a result, based on the elastic modulus ratio of 1.0, the stress tended to increase as the size of the repair part decreased when it was less than 1.0, and the opposite tendency was seen when it was more than 1.0. This is believed to be due to an increase in the area of the part with a large elastic modulus.
