Application of Quantitative Indices for Urban Environment Analysis in the Consideration of Remote Sensed Imagery: Accessibility and Connectivity

  • In this study, uses of remote sensed imagery in urban environment analysis are represented with the actual processed results with newly implemented programs running under ESRI ArcView-GIS to extract secondary information about mainly urban transportation environment. Implemented programs are about Accessibility index and Connectivity index. Accessibility index and Connectivity index are composed of four types of different algorithms and three types of algorithms such as alpha, gamma, and shimmel index. As show applied examples, tried to find out how remotely sensed imageries can be effectively utilized at actual processing in the direct or indirect ways in these algorithms.

Study on examination of accuracy of natural environment assessment of satellite data using vegetation index and plant energy

  • The satellite remote sensing data is good in order to grasp the wide natural environment. The purpose of study is that it examines spectral reflection characteristic and vegetation index by the utilization of the plant energy ( chlorophyll ) for examining the reliability of satellite data and grasps the transition of the natural environment using the result. According to result of analysis, there were NDVI and mutual relationship on chlorophyll, and luminance compensation of NDVI was effective for all area. In vegetation transition, there were no luminance compensation and relation, and there was a decrease of vegetation in area in south and north. The reason was a result by the artificial and natural effect. This analysis is an effective method in order to confirm the change of specific vegetation.

  • A remote drum grappling device coupled to the anti-swing crane has been developed by KAERI to cope with problems involved in manually treating low level waste drums. In order for this grappling device to be operated effectively, multi-sensors including CCD camera were employed. As an activity representation scheme of the device, Extended State Machine (ESM) was used to descibe its operation sequences. The performance testing of the device was conducted successfully, and consequently its application could be extendable to industrial operation environment.

  • 스마트 기기들이 대중화되면서 스마트 폰이나 태블릿 등은 현대사회에 필수품이 되었다. 이러한 시대적인 흐름에 따라서 개인이 보유한 스마트 기기를 생활에 활용하는 Bring Your Own Device 환경이 주목받고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 BYOD 환경에 초점을 둔 WiFi 원격주문 시스템을 설계하였다. BYOD 환경에서의 WiFi 원격주문 시스템이 보급된다면 효율성 증대와 고객 편익 증대 등의 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 대표적으로 스마트 기기를 통한 실시간 고객요청은 빠른 서비스 제공이 가능해진다. 소비자들이 원격주문을 위한 모바일 앱 설계와 가맹점에서 주문내역과 메뉴관리, 매출 통계자료를 조회하고 등록할 수 있는 웹페이지를 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 설계한 WiFi 원격주문 시스템이 국제적으로 널리 보급된다면 많은 사람들에게 유용하게 사용될 것으로 기대한다.

  • 코로나19 팬데믹으로 인해 전 세계 인구는 급격한 변화를 경험하였고, 이 중 하나가 재택근무의 증가였다. 앞으로도 언제든 감염병의 위험에 노출될 수 있으며, 이 외에도 여러 가지 배경으로 인해 재택근무의 확대가 예상된다. 이에 본 연구는 재택근무의 효율성을 제고하고 기존의 한계를 개선하기 위한 방안 마련을 위해 코로나19 팬데믹 시기 재택근무 경험자를 대상으로 실내 환경에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 특별히 재택근무 경험자의 음환경 인식을 알아봄으로써 주택 내에서 근무할 때 경험하는 음환경 인식에는 어떠한 특성이 있으며, 응답자 개인의 어떠한 변수가 인식 변화에 영향을 주는지 알아보았다. 해당 조사를 통해 동거인 수, 방 개수와 주택 면적, 개인의 소음민감도에 따라 재택근무 시 외부소음, 이웃소음, 동거인소음을 인식하는 경향에 차이를 보이는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 주거용도뿐만 아니라 업무 및 학습 용도로도 활용할 수 있는 다목적 주택 설계의 기반 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

인터넷 환경에서 힘반영을 이용한 이동로봇의 원격제어 (Internet-based Teleoperation of a Mobile Robot with Force-reflection)

  • A virtual force is generated and fed back to the operator to make the teleoperation more reliable, which reflects the relationship between a slave robot and an uncertain remote environment as a form of an impedance. In general, for the teleoperation, the teleoperated mobile robot takes pictures of the remote environment and sends the visual information back to the operator over the Internet. Because of the limitations of communication bandwidth and narrow view-angles of camera, it is not possible to watch certain regions, for examples, the shadow and curved areas. To overcome this problem, a virtual force is generated according to both the distance between the obstacle and the robot and the approaching velocity of the obstacle w.r.t the collision vector based on the ultrasonic sensor data. This virtual force is transferred back to the master (two degrees of freedom joystick) over the Internet to enable a human operator to estimate the position of obstacle at the remote site. By holding this master, in spite of limited visual information, the operator can feel the spatial sense against the remote environment. It is demonstrated by experiments that this collision vector based haptic reflection improves the performance of teleoperated mobile robot significantly.

클라우드 기반 IoT 환경의 원격 헬스케어 시스템에 대한 보안성 분석 (Security Analysis of Remote Healthcare System in Cloud-based IoT Environment)

  • As computer performance is leveled upward, the use of IoT systems is gradually expanding. Although IoT systems are used in many fields, it is true that it is difficult to build a safe system due to performance limitations. To overcome these limitations, many researchers have proposed numerous protocols to improve security issues. Among them, Azrour et al. except. We proposed a new efficient and secure authentication protocol for remote healthcare systems in a cloud-based IoT environment, and claimed that the new protocol could solve the security vulnerabilities of the existing protocols and was more efficient. However, in this paper, through the security analysis of the remote healthcare system in the cloud-based IoT environment proposed by Azrour et al., the protocol of this system was found to be vulnerable to Masquerade attack, Lack of Perfect Forward Secrecy, Off-line password guessing attack, and Replay attack.

가변적인 통신지연시간을 갖는 원격 작업 환경을 위한 실시간 햅틱 렌더링 (Real-Time Haptic Rendering for Tele-operation with Varying Communication Time Delay)

  • This paper presents a real-time haptic rendering method for a realistic force feedback in a remote environment with varying communication time-delay. The remote environment is assumed as a virtual environment based on a computer graphics, for example, on-line shopping mall, internet game and cyber-education. The properties of a virtual object such as stiffness and viscosity are assumed to be unknown because they are changed according to the contact position and/or a penetrated depth into the object. The DARMAX model based output estimator is proposed to trace the correct impedance of the virtual object in real-time. The output estimator is developed on the input-output relationship. It can trace the varying impedance in real-time by virtue of P-matrix resetting algorithm. And the estimator can trace the correct impedance by using a white noise that prevents the biased input-output information. Realistic output forces are generated in real-time, by using the inputs and the estimated impedance, even though the communication time delay and the impedance of the virtual object are unknown and changed. The generated forces trace the analytical forces computed from the virtual model of the remote environment. Performance is demonstrated by experiments with a 1-dof haptic device and a spring-damper-based virtual model.

  • 임베디드 소프트웨어는 대상 시스템의 내부 자원과 호스트 시스템의 환경에 매우 민감하므로 수행시 대상 시스템과 동일한 환경에서 디버깅해야 한다. 그러나 대상 시스템의 자원에 직접적으로 접근하여 시스템 상태를 조사하거나 제어하는 기법들은 내부 신호나 자원에 대한 접근이 제한되어 있는 SoC (System-On-a-Chip) 소프트웨어를 디버깅하기는 부적합하다. 본 논문에서는 JTAG을 기반으로 원격 시스템에 접근하여 임베디드 소프트웨어를 디버깅할 수 있는 어뎁터를 제안한다. 이는 원격 디버깅을 위한 환경 구축에 많은 어려움 있는 기존의 환경 구축의 경제적 제한점을 해소할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 원격 시스템내의 임베디드 소프트웨어를 디버깅할 수 있는 경제적인 인터페이싱 환경을 제공한다.
