Implementation of C-HMI based Real-time Control and Monitoring for Remote Wastewater Reclamation and Reusing System (C-HMI 기반의 원격지 중수도 설비 실시간 제어와 모니터링 구현)

  • The wastewater reclamation and reusing system has been rising as an alternative of water resource exhaustion that the whole world is experiencing. In order to be able to bring about improvement of the existing wastewater reclamation and reusing system, this research has developed of Conversion-Human Machine Interaction (C-HMI) based real-time control and monitoring system such as a sensor module and gate module, web monitoring system. This system was communication almost-error-free in various environment and situation. As a result, we have achieved our goal that has to doing work correctly as a sensor and gateway module that communication error is less than 0.2% throughout the embodied system and add that it can be easily controled and configured as an interface equipment to a complex sensor of water quality. According to this, the construction of a database capable of analyzing and assessing collection, storage and various elements of reliable water quality and flow rate data can be possible.

  • In this paper, unmaned fully automation systems are applied for the CSTR(Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor) and, SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) wastewater treatment pilot plant. This plant is constructed in the country side which is little far from a main city. So networks and wireless modules are employed for the data transmission. The SBR plant has a local control and monitoring system which is contained communication parts which consist of one ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) network and one CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) module. Remote control and monitoring systems are constructed at a laboratory in a metropolis.

  • This paper presents the programmable logic controller (PLC) networking development for communication with the mobile phone. The proposed technique is suitable for remote sensing control systems, which can display the operation status and monitoring fault diagnosis of a system. The system operation is based on the use of personal computer (PC) to logically analyze data from PLC, and existing internet protocol for sending information messages to mobile phones.

  • Ionizer is used in removal of static-electricity charge from several production processes such as flat panel display, organic EL, etc. In this paper, we introduce remote monitoring systems for ionizer which have been built to communicate with multiple ionizer and to control the power and ionizing state independently. Based on a series of tests, we verified the key functions of this controller such as unit connection, quantity of ion and electric charge, alarm, and successful communication between PC and controller. This system may be directly applicable to monitor systems for ionizer in the manufacturing processes of TFT-LCD, PDP, organic EL, and others.

  • Environmental information monitoring system with a control system and a sensor node transfers real-time collected data from sensor node to the remote control system. Operability of the control system can significantly decrease depending on its operating environment, type of sensor and the number of sensor installed on the sensor node and the communication environment between the control system and sensor node. In this study, we proposed and implemented component-based environmental information monitoring system using the appropriate components depending on operating environment in order to increase operational efficiency.

  • In this paper, one type of a security system for panel working is suggested. The industrial Ethernet is used for open-close door control of the working panel and for monitoring the working panel is correct or not. Especially to upgrade the security system, a remote approval function of panel working by using the given approval number, a remote monitoring function for checking the approved panel is currently working or not, and an alarming function for keying the unapproved number or opening the disapproved panel, are added for preventing and reducing the intentional working error. Also the worker and working time are stored in PC automatically in exel file for detecting the working error. To show the possibility of suggested security system. two-working panel system is prepared and studied.

The server PC attached to the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) acquires the current status (On/Off) of the devices through the RS-232 serial communications. Also, the moving image frames captured from the wireless camera is compressed in the JPEG format and is stored in the server. The PDA, which is connected to the server through wireless internet, receives the data about the status of the devices and controls the devices according to the circumstances of them. Also, it can receive the images from the server simultaneously. So, we ran monitor and control the specified area in the remote place using the PDA through the wireless communication.
