For rehabilitation of stroke patients the repeat training is needed. However it is difficult to keep up the training for the patients because it is boring. Even if the patients continue the training there is no objective way to evaluate the remedial value. Recently there is a new attempt to apply the haptic system to the rehabilitation of the stroke patients. In this study a haptic system is applied to the rehabilitation of the stroke patients. Through the comparative analysis of the experimental data for the normal people and patients, the validity of the proposed rehabilitation was verified. In conclusion, the patient's condition at 8 days after the experiment has demonstrated the level of ADL.

Identification of fault current during the operation of a power semiconductor switch and activation of suitable remedial actions are important for reliable operation of power converters. A short circuit is a basic and severe fault situation in a circuit structure such as voltage source converters. This paper presents a new active protection circuit for fast and precise clamping and safe shutdown of fault currents of the IGBTs. This circuit allows operation of the IGBTs with a higher on-state gate voltage, which can thereby reduce the conduction loss in the device without compromising the short circuit protection characteristics. The operation of the circuit is studied under various conditions, considering variation of temperature, rising rate of fault current, gate voltage value, and protection circuit parameters. An evaluation of the operation of the circuit is made using IGBTs from different to confirm the effectiveness of the protection circuit.

Objective : To research the trend of studies about anti-allergic response on Herbal Acupuncture therapy by analysing domestic theses, published after 2001, about Herbal Acupuncture therapy. Methods : I reviewed and analyzed domestic theses, published after 2001, mentioning anti-allergic response of Herbal Acupuncture therapy. And these theses were classified by university, year, field of study, subject. Results : In theses focusing on anti-allergic effect, there were some cases trying to prove remedial value of operating herbal acupuncture on acupuncture points, and cases trying to prove its effect on immunity.

Objective: There are some case reports on treatment of shoulder dislocation in Patients Undergoing Stroke. We report the electronic needle and the Bee venom Acupunure Theraphy about under using shoulder dislocation in patients Undergoing Stroke got a good remedial value. Methods : The patients diagnosed as shoulder dislocation and treated mainly with Bee venom Acupunture Therapy and electronic needle Results & Conclusions : Symptoms of the patientes such as shoulder pain, Range Of Motion(ROM) were improved after above treatments. The interval in X-ray film comes to be narrow. So, it is suggested that oriental medical treatment are effective on post stroke with shoulder dislocation.

Stone has been one of the most intensely studied materials in conservation. Understanding the deterioration of stone needs various knowledge in different mineralogical and physical characteristics and its weathering response under different climate and environment. The alteration and weathering of stone is affected by natural or artificial elements whether they are physical, chemical or biological damaging factors. It can be said that the bio deterioration of stone is coupled with every environmental factors, which induce decomposition of stone structure, either directly or indirectly as a form of catalysis. Many elements contribute to the deterioration of stone monuments and other objects of cultural value such as pagoda, stature of Buddha, etc. This report concentrates on the action of biodeteriorative factorsincluding bacteria, algae and higher plants. Preventive and remedial methods and a selection of chemical treatments are also described.

Recently, hospital architecture has acknowledged remedial value of environment and atmosphere, which consider patient's statement of physical, spiritual, psychological and social focus, escape from the past focus of functional and rational space composition. The many research of hospital architecture just analyze elements of architectural planing which focus how to make a healing environment for patients. The purpose of this study is to abstract the design principle of architectural space composition for healing environment significance, through case study which follow up space composition. To abstract healing environment significance by space composition, each case study hospitals should be analyzed and estimated on the spatial composition elements. It is to provide the basic data for effective architectural planning of the hospital.

The future of a country is influenced by the youth. Sound fostering of the youth is important for the country's future. Because of mechanization, industrialization and urbanization of our society, many social problems, such as confusion of the sense of value, dehumanization, money worshi n.0, ppings, juvenile delinquency are increasing. For the solution of problems of juvenile crime and dehumanization, bibliotherapy should be practiced in juvenile reformatories, schools and societies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness and value of reading. And also the characteristics, brief history, principles and procedures of bibliotherapy are examined. In addition, the book catalog suitable for bibliotherapy is considered. The results of the study are as follows. (1) In order to solve the problem of dehumanization, and the confusion of the sense of value among young adults, we should enrich and cultivate the characters of young adults through the bibliotherapy. So, bibliotherapy for the treatment of human nature of juveniles should be practiced in the juvenile reformatories, schools and societies. (2) The values of reading in the past were inspiration, information and recreation. But, in recent times, the interest in therapeutic value of reading is increasing. (3) Bibliotherapy is a kind of psychotherapy using selected reading materials. A n.0, pplication scopes of bibliotherapy are very wides, including mental medicine, alcoholic poisoning, drug addiction, juvenile delinquency, counselling and education for school life, etc. (4) The principles of bibliotherapy consist of identification, catharsis, insight and it has self therapeutic principles through the reading. The procedures of bibliotherapy is similar to any other kind of psychotherapy: the participant's statement, diagnosis, treatment, continuous recognition of remedial value. (5) The well suited reading materials for bibliotherapy are literature and biography. Literature and biography are familiar to everyone, because they describe the mentalities, emotions and life styles of human beings. (6) The standard reading lists for bibliotherapy for the proper guidance of juvenile delinquency should be prepared for the solution of developmental tasks, such as, drinking, smoking, friendship, family, love, money, marriage, pregnancy, violence, etc. Finally, Bibliotherapy should be introduced to our school settings and corrections institutions for the proper guidance and prevention of the malpractice of the youths. In addition, we should be endeavor to develop the standard reading lists for bibliotherapy and case study.

1. Background and Purpose I intented to be helpful to understand the consitutional symptoms of soar throat and the application of the prescription through a clinical study of Soeumin Doksamkwankaeijungtang. 2. Methods I studied 16 patients(1 man and 15 women) treated by Doksamkwankaeijungtang in Chewon Oriental Clinic. And then I investigated the characteristics of patients treated by Doksamkwankaeijungtang, remedial values and side effects. 3. Results Doksamkwankaeijungtang was used in the age groups between twenties and sixties. There were 28 kinds of chief complaints including soar throat, tonsilitis, allergic rheum, bitter taste, dry throat, dry cough, stomatitis, lower abdominal pains, climacteric syndrome, etc. The distributions of remedial values were completely recovered (56.25%), much improved (18.75%), slightly improved(6.25%), no improved(12.5%), aggravated(6.25%), side effects(18.75%). There was one aggravated patient. Using the prescription, I prescribed it without any changing and addition according to the symptoms of soar throat. The remedial value of Doksamkwankaeijungtang was effective and not influenced by the dosage of Ginseng. The onset of action was very quick by the changes of dosage without the relation of age. Side effects were upward tendency of blood presser, headache, chest pain, etc. 4. Conclusion Doksamkwankaeijungtang was specifically effective in soar throat of Soeumin.

Objectives : Strabismus refers to the muscle imbalanced that results from improper alignment of the visual axes of the two eyes. It may be divided into paralytic and nonparalytic strabismus. Paralytic strabismus is primarily result from neurologic problem and nonparalytic strabismus is more strictly opthalmologic problem. We try to improve the remedial value of acute paralytic strabismus. Methods : We treated the cases by use of electra-acupuncture at paralytic extraocular muscles. The cases were treated almost daily and every treatment were enforced 10 minutes. We use the PG-306 electra-acupuncture products(Suzuki Iryoki Co. Japan) and apply the low consequence wave of 1-8Hz Results : We found that two cases were recovered almost three months and one case is treated till now and improved. So we try to apply this treatment in many cases and make the treating protocol of acute paralytic strabismus.

Decrease of children caused by economic growth, scientific and technological advancement, long life, spread of nuclear families, increase of women's entry in public affairs, etc. in modern society has given rise to aging societies as another social problem. This has resulted in the advent of problems of the aged and necessity of geriatric hospitals specializing in providing medical services for the old. Even though the geriatric hospitals currently operated are mainly used by aged persons, however, their color environment has been decided, for the most pin, not in view of characteristics of the old but in view of supporting families' criteria for selection of facilities. This study intends to help geriatric hospital designers recognize importance of color environment considering characteristics of the old and select the relevant colors In designing geriatric hospitals in future to elevate remedial value and prevent accidents in space use. To this end, this study suggests problems of color environment found in surveys of the existing geriatric hospitals currently operated throughout the nation and further make some proposals for improvement.
