면역분석법에서 암페타민류의 교차 반응성 (Cross-reactivity of Amphetamine Analogues in Various Immunoassays)

  • We evaluated four commercially available methamphetamine immunoassays for their relative cross-reactivities of amphetamine analogues in human urine: Abbott TDx, Vitalab Selectra and on-site test kits (Accusign MET, SD bioline MET). High cross-reactivities were shown at designer's drugs such as methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and methylenedioxyethylamphetamine (MDEA) in all of the tested immunoassays. Methoxyphenamine, fenfluramine and phentermine were positive in TDx and Selectra, but were not positive in on-site test kits. Pseudoephedrine, norpseudoephedrine, ephedrine, norephedrine, MDMA, MDA, fenfluramine and phentermine were detected by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(GC/MS) in false positive urines. Since the overall specificity of any of the devices was not 100%, we found it is important to confirm any positive screening test result, so we developed simultaneous determination of amphetamine analogues in urines. After alkalinization of the urine samples with 6-N NaOH, the analytes were extracted using ethyl acetate, derivatized with pentafluoropropyl anhydride (PFPA) prior at GC/MS analysis.

Substituent Effects on the Reactivity of the Pyridines$^{1,2}$

  • The relative dissociation constants of 4-substituted bicyclo[2,2,2]octane-1-carboxylic acids, 4-substituted quinuclidines, and 3-and 4-substituted pyridines were collected from a number of sources. In order to understand the actual substituent effects with a combination of inductive effect (σI) and resonance effect (σR) components. The DSP correlation has been employed statistically for each of the p-and m-series. The inductive effect from the m-position was 1.2 times more effective than that from the p-position and the requirement of σR+ for the best-fit led to the conclusion that pyridine system belongs to the σ+-class reactivity. Also compared with results from Yukawa-Tsuno's LArSR treatment and relevant treatment.

Effect of Humidity on Physico-chemical Properties of Hydrous Aluminum Oxide

  • The effect of humidity on the aging process of hydrous aluminum oxide prepared by the reaction of aluminum chloride and sodium bicarbonate solution at pH 7.8, which was then kept in various atmosphere under relative humidity at 37.deg. was observed by the measurements of acid consuming capacity, X-ray diffraction and IR absorption. The humidity was one of the important factors influencing the aging process of hydrous aluminum oxide during storage. The higer the humidity, the more was accelerated age, crystalize and loss in acid reactivity. Depending on the humidity, the aging product was different, especially, in the case of up to the relative humidity of 72%, it forming bayerite. On the other hand, the hydrous aluminum oxide aged below the relative humidity of 50% was still amorphous even after 120 days storage. When hydrous aluminum oxide was aged under higher humidity, definite IR absorption bands develop as the hydroxys become part of an ordered structure, and it showed their characteristic absorption band around 1630 and 1060 cm$^{-1}$.

유아의 배려행동에 미치는 공감능력과 대인관계형성능력의 영향 (The Effect of Young children's Empathicability and Interpersonal competence in Forming relationships on Caring behavior)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아의 배려행동에 미치는 공감능력과 대인관계형성능력의 영향을 알아봄으로써 유아교육 현장에서 유아의 배려행동을 증진시키기 위한 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구대상은 중소도시 I시의 4,5세 유아 152명이며, 검사도구는 배려행동, 공감능력, 대인관계형성능력의 질문지를 활용하였으며, 교사에 의해 측정되었다. 수집된 자료는 pearson의 적률상관관계를 분석하고 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 유아의 공감능력과 배려행동은 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났지만 배려행동 중 가치부여적행동과는 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 특히, 가치부여적행동과 공간능력의 하위영역인 기쁨과 심적부담이 정적 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 배려행동과 대인관계형성능력 전체는 관계가 있었으며, 특히 사회적 반응성과의 관계가 가장 높게 나타났다. 하위영역에서는 규범적 행동과 사회적반응성, 능동적행동과 지시따르기, 가치부여적행동과 긍정적 상호작용, 정서적행동과 사회적반응성과 가장 높은 정적 관계가 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 배려행동 중정서적행동에는 사회적반응성이 정적인 예측변인이며, 관계형성하기는 부적 예측변인으로 나타났다. 능동적 행동에는 지시따르기가 정적예측 변인이며, 심적부담은 부적 예측변인으로 나타났다. 규범적 행동은 사회적반응성이 정적인 예측변인, 관계형성하기와 심적부담 부적 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다. 가치부여적행동에는 긍정적 상호작용이 정적 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 유아의 배려행동을 증진시키기 위한 프로그램을 개발하기 위해서는 사회적 반응성, 지시따르기, 긍정적 상호작용을 증진시키는 내용을 포함해야할 것이며, 유아의 관계형성능력과 불안의 요소를 줄이는 내용을 구성해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

Phenyl Acetylene과 Styrene의 共重合 (Copolymerization of Phenyl Acetylene with Styrene)

  • Gamma-ray induced copolymerization of phenyl acetylene with styrene is compared with that of the Ziegler catalyzed. The reactivity of styrene is greater than that of phenyl acetylene in the gamma-ray induced polymerization but much less than that of phenyl acetylene in the Ziegler catalyzed. The resulting copolymer is identified by means of DTA and spectrophotometry. Further, the liquid scintillation counting of styrene-${\alpha}-C^{14}$clarified the relative composition of the copolymers.

Stoichiometric Effects. Correlation of the Rates of Solvolysis of Isopropenyl Chloroformate

  • Solvolysis rates of isopropenyl chloroformate (3) in water, $D_2O$, $CH_3OD$ and in aqueous methanol, ethanol, 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (TFE), acetone, 1,4-dioxane as well as TFE-ethanol at 10 ${^{\circ}C}$ are reported. Additional kinetic data for pure water, pure ethanol and 80%(w/w) 2,2,2-trifuoroethanol (T)-water (W) at various temperatures are also reported. These rates show the phenomena of maximum rates in specific solvents (30% (v/v) methanol-water and 20% (v/v) ethanol-water) and, variations in relative rates are small in aqueous alcohols. The kinetic data are analyzed in terms of GW correlations, steric effect, kinetic solvent isotope effects (KSIE), and a third order model based on general base catalysis (GBC). Solvolyses based on predominately stoichiometric solvation effect relative to medium solvation are proceeding in 3 and the results are remarkably similar to those for p-nitrobenzoyl chloride (4) in mechanism and reactivity.

Solution Viscosity and Relative Reactivity of Branched and Linear Polycarbonates

  • The relative reactivities of branched and linear polycarbonates were investigated by measuring unreacted chloroformate concentration. It was found that the polymerization for the branched polymer proceeded ca. 10 times faster than that for the linear polymers. The effect of catalyst on a condensation step was studied by changing the amount of TEA (triethylamine) at $t_{0}$ and $t_{60}$ with keeping constant amount of TEA. The viscosity average molecular weight for the obtained branched polycarbonates were measured and compared with those of linear polycarbonates. It was found that the viscosity molecular weights of the obtained polymers decreased nonlinearly as wt % of added oligomer increased. The solution viscosities in methylenechloride for linear and branched polycarbonate increased nonlinearly as the content of polymer increased.

Electrochemical Studies on the Reaction of Superoxide Ion with Halocarbons in Aprotic Media

  • The reactivity of superoxide ion($O{_2}^{-.}$) with halogenated substrates is investigated by cyclic voltammetry and rotated ring-disk electrode method in aprotic solvents. The more positive the reduction potential of the substituted nitrile, the more facile is nucleophilic displacement by $O{_2}^{-.}$. The reaction rates of halogenonitriles with $O{_2}^{-.}$ vary according to the leaving-group propensity of halide (Br>Cl>F). The relative reaction rates of other substituted nitriles are in the order of electron-withdrawing propensity of the substituent group (CN> $C(O)NH_2$ >Ph, $CH_2CN$). The reaction of $O{_2}^{-.}$ with dihalocarbons indicates that five-membered rings can be rapidly formed by the cyclization of substrate and $O{_2}^{-.}$, and the relative rates of cyclization depend on the number of methylenic carbons {$Br(CH_2)_nBr$, [n=1<2<3>4>5]}. Mechanisms are proposed for the reaction of $O{_2}^{-.}$ with halogenated substrates.

  • 본 연구는 석유/화학공장에서의 위험성 평가에 관한 것으로써, 특히 물질과 공정의 위험에 관한 상대적 평가를 수행할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 즉, 물질의 위험과, 공정이 내포하고 있는 위험을 각각 고려하여 이를 종합화하였으며, 최종적으로 화재, 폭발 지수를 산정하였다. 물질계수는 인화성과 반응성으로 산정하였고, 공정 지수는 penalty라 부르는 경험적 수치를 사용하였다. 이 F&EI는 전 공정에 적용하여 위험의 상대적 평가를 실시할 수 있으며 현장에서의 직접 적용도 가능하다.

Passive Immunization Approach to Reduce Body Fat in Pigs Using Fat-specific Polyclonal Antiserum

  • Plasma membrane proteins from pig adipocytes, brain, heart, kidney, liver and spleen were isolated using a 32% sucrose gradient. An adult male sheep was immunized three times at 3-wk intervals with the purified pig adipocyte plasma membrane (APM) proteins. Blood samples were taken from the immunized sheep 12 d after the third immunization. Antiserum showed strong reactivity with APM proteins determined by ELISA, and the reactivity could be detected at dilutions in excess of 1:128,000. Antiserum showed very low binding affinity with proteins isolated from brain, heart, kidney, liver or spleen. Ninety weanling pigs were allocated randomly to three treatment groups and were injected i.p. with 40 ml of antiserum (n = 30) or 20 ml of lyophilized antiserum (21.5 mg/ml; n = 30). A control group (n = 30) received 40 ml of saline, and all pigs were slaughtered at 24 wk of age. The polyclonal antiserum did not change BW or ADG. Carcass percentage of pigs was numerically increased by the antiserum treatment compared with control. Both antiserum treatments did not significantly (p>0.05) affect body composition, including body fat content, relative to the control group.
