This study aimed to guide the practice of group art therapy among Korean college students through a systematic review. Therefore, 164 studies relevant to group art therapy for Korean undergraduate students published in Korea from January 2001 to June 2021 were selected. This systematic review included 46 publications based on the PICO standards. The author systematically reviewed the included studies, summarized the characteristics and therapy effectiveness, and analyzed the overall research trends. The primary findings were as follows: First, the number of publications on group art therapy among Korean college students has significantly increased. According to a review of group art therapy characteristics, the majority of studies enrolled 6-10 participants (32 studies, 66.7%), applied 6-10 sessions (23 studies, 47.9%), and had an intervention time for each session of 90 minutes (25 studies, 53.2%). Second, research outcomes of group art therapy among Korean college students were grouped into self-related, society-related, emotion-related, and career-related outcomes. Regarding career-related outcomes, all studies found that group art therapy had a statistically significant impact on career-related outcomes, particularly on the levels of career decision-making and maturity. Most studies suggested that group art therapy had a positive effect on self-related, society-related, and emotion-related outcomes, with 6 studies finding no statistically significant effect of group art therapy on college students. Third, the most effective intervention for college students was the media-based group art therapy. In particular, college students had the most effective performance in career-related outcomes. This study is significant in that it uses a systematic review to integrate and summarize research results on group art therapy among college students over the last 20 years. This study revealed that group art therapy could positively and effectively affect Korean college students. Based on this systematic review, we expect to practice and develop group art therapy in Chinese college students with comprehensive guidance and convincing data.
This article reviewed and analyzed 39 studies on self efficacy theory applied to health related behavior. The following analysis was done : 1) study subjects 2) measurement tools 3) analysis according to the type of research design(intervention re-search, explanatory research). Some findings are summarized as follows : The study subjects were both healthy people in various developmental stages and patients with various illnesses. The health related behaviors examined in the studies were also various including exercise, smoking cessation, self care behaviors, etc. The measurement of self efficacy was done with specific tools in most studies. In the tools, activities that measured the health behavior domain were listed according to increasing difficulty or contexual arrangement or in combination of both of them The analysis of 17 intervention research studies showed that generally the intervention program increased the self efficacy level of subjects and then the increased strongly self efficacy influenced behavioral changes. Most studies used more than one intervention method for increasing the self efficacy level. these were derived from sources of self efficacy suggested by Bandura. The analysis of 21 explanatory research studies showed that self efficacy strongly influenced behavior change and persistence. The major independent variable to affect the self efficacy was performance accomplishment in the past. Self efficacy explained more of the variance in health related behavior when it was applied with the variables in the health belief model, health promotion model, and reasoned action theory. On the basis of the above findings, the following suggestions are made : 1. For a desirable research design, self efficacy should be the intervening variable. That is, desirable designs would include intervention-self efficacy-behavior in intervention research studies and antecedent-self efficacy-behavior in explanatory research studies. 2. More prospective, longitudinal studies are needed to test the effect of self efficacy on persistence in health related behavior. 3. Studies comparing the effects of intervention methods are needed for each health related behavior, subject group, and context. 4. It is necessary to develop a reliable, valid measurement tool for self efficacy for each health related behavior. 5. Studies to differenciate the effect of self efficacy from that of outcome expectation on the health related behavior are necessary. 6. The antecedents of self efficacy should be investigated further.
This study aims to provide basic data for revitalizing creativity research related to early childhood teachers by analyzing creativity research related to early childhood teachers. For this study, 103 master's and doctoral dissertations in Korea, which were searched through the National Assembly Library and the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), were selected under the themes of 'early childhood teacher', 'creativity', and 'creativity research trends'. The frequency and percentage were calculated by analyzing creativity research related to early childhood teachers with five criteria: research period, research content, research method, research subject, and creativity factor. As a result of the study, first, as for the trends of creativity research related to early childhood teachers, 91 master's theses (88.3%) and 12 doctoral theses (11.7%) were conducted from 1991 to 2022, focusing on master's theses. Second, trends by research content were found in 20 basic studies (19.4%) and 83 practical studies (80.6%). Creativity research related to early childhood teachers is being actively conducted centering on practical research. Third, trends by research method showed 96 quantitative studies (93.2%), 7 qualitative studies (6.8%), and 0 literature studies (0%). Creativity studies related to early childhood teachers were being conducted with a focus on quantitative research. Fourth, the trend by research subject consisted of 100 studies (97.1%) related to early childhood teachers and 3 studies (2.9%) related to pre-service early childhood teachers. Fifth, trends by creativity factor were found in 56 studies (54.4%) related to teacher's variables and 47 studies (45.6%) related to creativity education methods. Studies related to teacher's variables were relatively higher than creativity education methods. As a result of this study, there is a lack of Christian education research in creativity research related to early childhood teachers, so it is expected that it will be done in the future.
In a study, the selection of a relevant methodology cannot be determined without an effort First of all, the philosophical view or understanding of the nature of a study area will be agreed, based on which a series of judgment will be performed on a process identifying a foundation or a validity of a knowledge. The findings are as follows. First, it analyzed the trend of food serviceㆍculinary art-related studies by subject and examined its awareness. The most studies are related to trend analysisㆍfood service, 104 papers, following by financial and strategic fulfillment, 76 papers. Service quality and customer-related studies are 38, individual and organization-related studies are 31 papers, education training 18 papers, while legal review are only 2 papers. Second, for trend analysis and awareness on study methodology, research study is at the first, 39%, following by literature study, 38.7%. Most studies are performed research and literature studies together.
Objectives: This study conducted a literature review to systematically confirm the quantitative results of individual studies on oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) among elderly adults. Methods: Studies on quality of life related to oral health among Korean elderly adults were selected as targets, and literature published in Korean journals until January 10, 2019, was examined. A total of 179 papers were reviewed using RISS, KISS, eArticle, and DBpia, and 17 papers meeting the final conditions were selected for analysis. Factors were categorized with publication year, sample size, gender, and statistical analysis as main variables. Relevant factors and effect sizes were then encoded, and the values of correlation coefficients and correlation effect sizes were coded. Results: After classifying the factors affecting OHRQoL among elderly adults according to common characteristics, four studies related to food and diet, five studies related to xerostomia, and four studies related to dentures and denture satisfaction were found to be related. Conclusions: Overall, various factors affected OHRQoL among elderly adults. Therefore, oral health among elderly adults must be developed and managed considering the various factors related to OHRQoL.
Objectives: This article aims to review clinical studies related to traditional Korean medicine (TKM) for cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) up to date. Methods: EMBASE, Pubmed and eight Korean databases were searched for clinical studies about TKM for CRCI up to July 2016. We selected articles about subjects with cancer, using TKM interventions including acupuncture, moxibustion or herbal medicine, containing assessment about cognitive function. Results: Two randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and one randomized controlled feasibility study were included. Selected studies were containing assessments about cognitive function but not as primary outcomes. The three studies included one acupuncture study and two herbal-medicine studies. Only one herbal-medicine study showed improvement in cognitive function. Conclusions: Few clinical studies mainly focusing CRCI treated with TKM have been performed and have shown contradictory results until now. Future studies should be performed considering findings from pre-clinical and clinical studies altogether, and they should be controlled to minimize risk of bias thorough out overall courses of designing, conducting and reporting them.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide evidence for future research by analyzing the contents, delivery methods, and educational effects of educational programs for hemodialysis patients. Methods: A literature review was conducted in the following order: problem identification, literature search and data collection, data evaluation, data analysis, and data presentation. In total, 936 documents were retrieved from the search, and 24 documents were finally included in this study. Results: The contents of the educational programs were comprehensive hemodialysis-related knowledge education in seven studies, exercise-related education in 10 studies, diet-related education in four studies, drug-related education in one study, and complex education in two studies.
