In small cities, especially resident participation is very important to revive their old vividness. The study then reviewed literatures published from 1995 to 2007 regarding resident participation in urban center revitalization for community reinvigoration. This study consists of four parts. The first part defined concepts of community and of resident participation, and included discussion about resident participation codes. In the second part, the problems about community formation and community facilities were scrutinized through preceding researches. • The great strategy of China has been changing depending on the time, change of surrounding environment and personality of leaders of the time. However, the process of the change was not the drastic change but has maintained the consistency through the course of modification and development. The great strategy of Mao Ze-dong was to have the objective in 'World Great Nation' with the facilitation of the 'Surpass Strategy' and 'Autonomy, Independence and Alliance strategy' to successfully build up the political great nation, but he entrapped China's politics and economy into the point of no return by excessive war preparation under 'The Principle of Inevitable World War', striving of rapid communism and other policies. The Deng Xiao-ping era also targeted for ‘World Great Nation’ but, unlike Mao Ze-dong, he had the foundation in the 'The Principle of Evitable World War' and undertook the ‘Peace and Development Strategy’ and ‘Peaceful Coexistence' to build up the advantageous surrounding environment for China to focus on the economic construction as the core of the nation by establishing ‘The Reform and Opening Strategy’ and 'Three-step Development Strategy‘ to have the successful soft landing of the Chinese economy with the astonishing economic development. The system of leader's group of China after Deng Xiao-ping succeeded the practical and realistic spirit of Deng Xia-ping, and based on the drastically grown economic strength, the great strategy of China is on the ‘The Great Reinvigoration of Chinese Nation’. This is one step further from the strategy of 'World Great Nation' of the past that it embraces all the minority races in China, Chinese economic sphere, foreign citizens of Chinese origin as well as Chinese residing abroad. China contemplates the time of making 'The Great Reinvigoration of Chinese Nation’ in 2050, 100 anniversary of the birth of new China.

  • 16th CPC National Party Congress established multi-polarization strategy as an external strategy, and 'The Great Reinvigoration of Chinese Nation' as the aim of The Great Strategy of China. It is required to maintain stabilized and peaceful surrounding circumstance in order to make it possible. The ideal surrounding circumstance that China is aiming for is to achieve multi-polarization of international society while maintaining strategic deterrence. Multi-polarization now in 'One super Multi powers' is that 'Multi powers' deter 'One super' to prevent predominance of USA and to decentralize the power. China wishes to realign international order as it accomplishes multi-polarization. China who wants 'Peace and Stabilization' emphasizes autonomy, peace and unification of Korean peninsula. Autonomy means the restraint intervention of foreign power, that is, American influence in Korean peninsula. Multi-polarization strategy of China will be used in Korean peninsula to solve nuclear issue of North Korea, to support neutral unification and to keep balance of power with USA, Japan and Russia as it renders economic advantages to South Korea and security engagement to North Korea, based on special geographical, cultural and historical relationship with two Koreas. The nuclear issue of North Korea will be a stage to test multi-polarization of China. When it deduces positive solution of nuclear issue due to successful six-party talks, and advances to security talks of Northeast Asia, it will contribute a lot to power and elevation of national stature of China in international society. Thus, the Chinese strategy will be an accommodative condition for the security of South Korea, and it requires wise decision of South Korea to make hay while the sun shine.

  • Activation of conventional market in small town is important in the reinvigoration of local economy as an economical center. The revitalization of local economy is closely related to the fosterage of conventional market. So the local government is trying to activate the market. However, the projects for the activation of conventional market are mostly centered on the modernization of facilities which is carried out at urban districts. Those facilities-centered plans, being carried out at urban district, lack the consideration of the peculiarities of rural districts and the regional conditions of the conventional market in small towns. And some projects for the modernization of facilities produce negative results. Especially the conventional market in small town shows a spatial structure of a five-day market and a market place and it was influenced by the spatial relationship between the permanent market and periodic market. So analyses on the spatial lay-out and form, store facilities, spatial distribution of types of business, spatial utilization on market place are needed to improve the physical environment of the conventional market. In this context, the study analyzed systematically the space of an old and lagged Hongseong conventional market located in central district of a small town. And It is expected that the results use as a basic data to establish effective space improvement plan for conventional market in small town.

  • During the last ten years, there have been many studies related with settlement and reinvigoration of CM. These researches have shown that the application of CM has been not reinvigorated in Korean construction industry yet, because of some problems such as the insufficient application of the public sector, the policy matters and the CM fee estimates. But the present condition data of the Korean CM Market shown in these studies was insufficient for the standpoint of Market itself. Also, some of these studies compared the Korean CM Market with The America CM Market, to study the foreign CM markets. However, because the Korea CM Market only has the CM for Fee Market but the American CM Market has the CM for Fee and the CM at Risk, the Korea CM Market must be not only compared with the America CM Market but also compared with the America CM for Fee Market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the present condition of the Korea CM Market through the compare and contrast of the Korean CM Market, American CM Market and American CM for Fee Market, by the Market Growth rate and Market Share. This study further aims to verify whether Korean CM market was implemented.

  • This study analyzes empirically the effect of the degree of interest in cultural marketing on corporate image and how the corporate images affect on consumers' clothes purchasing behavior through the case of a fashion brand, 'Uniqlo'. For this, Chi-square test and independent sample T-test were used for the verification of differences in frequency and average by general characteristics of respondents. To observe the effects between ration scales, it carried out a multiple regression analysis, and also, using AMOS16.0, it verified the suitability of the route model and estimated the coefficients for each route. From the result of analysis, it was found that degree of consumer's interest in cultural marketing affects on corporate images such as corporate confidence and marketing and the corporate image again is closely related to consumer's clothes purchasing behavior and satisfaction. In other words, the consumers who have greater interest in corporations using cultural marketing or who had participated in various cultural events are more likely to think that 'Uniqlo' is a reliable corporation who actively uses cultural factors in marketing. Likely, it was observed that the positive corporate image of 'Uniqlo' has a large influence on purchase of their products and also, it makes consumers feel as if they are participating in mecenat, thus increasing consumer's satisfaction after purchase. This study has a limitation in generalization of study result because it focused on a case of particular brand. However, it is still helpful for the empirical study for growth and reinvigoration of the market for cultural marketing, and through a case of leading corporation, it provides implications to the corporations who use or do not use cultural marketing.

  • This investigation aims to examine whether there is currently the proper use of pedestrian malls created in the Land Development Project areas and to come up with some suggestions for the upcoming plan to build them. The Project areas were designated as the subject of a case study to this end and, on the basis of the findings on the pedestrian movement, Stepwise Regression Analysis was performed. These can be summed up as follows. Firstly, the most important factor which had a decisive effect on the activation of pedestrian malls turned out to be the directions of the exits to the buildings adjoining the pedestrian walkways. Hence, careful consideration should be given to the facade of buildings and the obligation to install the exits to the pedestrian malls for the activation of the pedestrian walkways. Secondly, according to the findings, the use of the buildings adjoining the pedestrian malls could be a second-most-important variable. The introduction of the facilities that encourage walking and the location restriction on the facilities(accommodation facilities) that do not encourage walking should be done aggressively. Thirdly, securing the continuity between the pedestrian malls could affect the reinvigoration of the pedestrian malls. To achieve this, the crosswalks should be actively built in the early stage of development.
