Aluminum liners used in cylinders are hazardous for human health. In this study, we use a plastic PA liner inside cylinders to solve this problem. Plastic PA liners are widely used in the manufacturing industry in the production of food and beverage containers. We covered the aluminum boss with a plastic liner material and wound the composite fibers over the liner material. To reinforce the dome area, we used low strength / high elongation plastic liner. To predict the performance of the developed product, we conducted structural analyses utilizing the 3D laminated solid element. We verified the soundness of the product by testing the prototype.
This study examines shear capacity performance and structural characteristics of reinforced concrete beam using carbon fiber sheet(CFS), g)ass fiber sheet(GFS), glass fiber steel plate(GSP) and carbon fiber bar CB) which are reinforcing materials for reinforced concrete beam in order to produce similar condition to repair and reinforce actual structure and aims to provide data available In designing and constructing reinforced concrete structures under the structural damage. This study obtains the following conclusions. After considering the shear experiment results. it was indicated that the CB reinforced test object was the best in the shear capacity improvement and ductility capacity as it was contained in the concrete and was all operated, Also, GFS reinforced test object indicated the reduced flexural capacity but good shear capacity. GSP reinforced test object had bigger reinforcing strength than other reinforcing test objects. On the other hand, it showed the lowest reinforcement effect as compared section thickness of reinforced material because it showed the bigger relativity a section thickness of reinforced material. If the adherence to the concrete is improved, it will seem to show bigger reinforcement effect.
The ion implantation technology changes the chemical state of the surface of a material by implanting ions on the surface. It improves the wear resistance, friction characteristics, etc. Plasma ion implantation can effectively reinforce a surface by implanting a sufficient amount of plasma nitrogen ions and using the injection depth instead of an ion beam. As plasma ion implantation is a three-dimensional process, it can be applied even when the surface area is large and the surface shape is complicated. Furthermore, it is less expensive than competing PVD and CVD technologies. and the material is The accommodation range for the shape and size of the plasma is extremely large. In this study, we improved wear resistance by implanting plasma nitrogen ions into a carbide end mill tool, which is frequently used in high-speed machining

The purpose of this study is to find inelastic behavior and ductility capacity of reinforced concrete bridge columns under earthquake. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. The smeared crack approach is incorporated. In boundary plane at which each member with different thickness is connected, due to the abrupt change in their stiffness local discontinuous deformation can be taken into account by introducing interface element. Also an analytical model is developed to express the confining effects of lateral tie which depend on the existence or nonexistence and the amounts of transverse confinement, etc. The proposed numerical method for inelastic behavior and ductility capacity of reinforced concrete bridge columns will be verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.
Various structural materials have been used in construction projects using stones, connotes, and steels materials. Among of these projects, concretes may use widely because concretes have high compressive strength, and comparatively easy maintenance and management. Reinforced concrete Buildings will be deteriorated as time passed. These problems will be accelerated by propagation of cracks. In order to manage such cracks, time, efforts and expense are required. In this study, leakages of fluorescence and adhesive material were investigated using glass sensors that were embedded in a model beam and column. In addition, currents in glass pipe sensor were observed to find leakage of liquid in glass pipes. Progressive cracks were generated by fracture of glass me sensor. In this investigation, a reinforcement clothing system was wrapped for a glass pipe sensor, The glass pipe sensor that can make control and reinforce cracks simultaneously.
In this paper, a nonlinear finite element procedure is presented for the analysis of reinforced concrete shell structures. The 4-node quadrilateral flat shell finite element with drilling rotational stiffness is developed. The layered approach is used to discretize behavior of concrete and reinforcement through the thickness. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. The smeared crack approach is incorporated. The steel reinforcement is assumed to be in a uniaxial stress state and to be a smeared in a layer. The proposed numerical method for nonlinear analysis of reinforce concrete shells will be verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.
If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.
As a part of recent CO2 emission reduction studies in the concrete industry with active use of concrete admixtures with low basic unit of CO2 emission such as blast furnace slag (BFS), basic unit of CO2 emission by SBFS was computed in order to assess CO2 emission by reinforced concrete building with smart blast furnace slag (SBFS). In addition, SBFS concrete was applied to the subject building for assessment of CO2 emission during material production step among construction steps. Life cycle CO2 emission assessment on the subject building was classified into 7cases according to mix ratio of BFS and SBFS.
Friction stir processing (FSP), developed based on the basic principles of friction stir welding(FSW), a solid-state joining process originally developed for various metal alloys, is an emergingmetalworking technique that can provide localized modification and control of microstructures in near-surface layers of processed metallic components. The FSP causes intense plastic deformation, material mixing, and thermal exposure, resulting in significant microstructural refinement, densification, and homogeneity of the processed zone. The FSP technique has been successfully used for producing the fine-grained structure and surface composite, modifying the microstructure of materials, and synthesizing the composite and intermetallic compound in situ. In this review article, the current state of the understanding and development of FSP is addressed.
Because the underwater structures are subjected to the deterioration according to use environment, it is necessary to repair and reinforce when the durable performance are considered in structures. Epoxy mortar in the underwater used to the repair and reinforcement for durability. Epoxy mortar in the underwater-harding maked epoxy and filler. Filler is divided aggregate and powder system. Because aggregate take a matter too seriously to supply that alternation material is used to rapidly chilled steel slag. As result of study, it is possible that rapidly chilled steel slag can be applied for replacement materials about aggregate in epoxy mortar because the strength is not different.
