The purpose of this study was to devise a specific plan for activating sports to promote health in old age against the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Through literature review, it also analyzed the association between health status and COVID-19 in old age, suggested health promotion policies and projects for elderly people, and presented a plan for activating sport to promote health in old age against COVID-19 era. First, it is necessary to revise the relevant laws, including the Sport Promotion Act and the Elderly Welfare Act, partially or entirely, make developmental and convergent legislations for elderly health and sports, and establish an institutional device as needed. Second, it is necessary to build an integrated digital platform for the elderly and make a supporting system that links facilities, programs, information, and job creation as part of a New Deal program in the field of sports on the basis of the Korean New Deal. Third, it is necessary to train elderly welfare professionals. Efforts should be made to establish more departments related to elderly sports in universities and make it compulsory to place elderly sports instructors at elderly leisure and welfare facilities. Fourth, it is necessary to develop contents related to health in old age. This means performing diverse movements by manipulating them through a virtual reality (VR) simulation. Fifth, it is necessary to make a greater investment in research and development related to elderly sports and relevant fields. This means the need to conduct constant research on healthy and active aging in a systematic and practical way through multidisciplinary cooperation. Sixth, it is necessary to establish and operate an elderly management agency (elderly health agency) under the influence of the Office of the Prime Minister. This means the need to secure independence in implementing the functions related to health promotion in old age and make comprehensive operation, which involves all the issues of health promotion in old age, daily function maintenance and rehabilitation, social adjustment, and long-term care, by establishing an elderly management agency in an effort to give lifelong health management to the elderly and cope with the untact, New Normal age.

Repellent and acaricidal activities of eucalyptus oil, permethrin, and DEET against Leptotrombidium pallidum larvae, which are a vector transmitting tsutsugamushi disease, were evaluated under laboratory conditions using a filter paper impregnated method. The $LD_{50}$ values of eucalyptus oil and DEET were 0.025 and 0.018 $mg/cm^2$, respectively while that of permethrin was higher than 0.2 $mg/cm^2$. In the repellency test of these materials at 6.14 $mg/cm^2$, eucalyptus oil gave complete repellency, and the larvae crossed the treated zone killed. But permethrin showed 60% repellency at 9.20 $mg/cm^2$ and the mites croosed the zone were not killed. The percent repellency of DEET at 0.53 $mg/cm^2$ was 8.3 and 2.8 times higher than that of permethrin and eucalyptus oil, respectively. The acaricidal activities of emulsifiable concentrates-pump sprayers containing the eucalyptus oil as an active ingredient were assayed. The emulsifiable concentrates containing 1% and 3% eucalyptus oil showed weak mortality at 1 hour after treatment, while all ones containing more than 6% oil produced 100% activity against L. pallidum larvae. The mortality also increased as exposure time to the concentrates increase. These results suggest that the potential of eucalyptus oil highly expected to be used as a control or repellent agent against L. pallidum larvae may be very high.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine whether pontic metal substructures, which are currently used in clinical surgeries, are designed appropriately and identify the problems that can occur due to their shape, size, and position. Then it aimed to emphasize the importance of making and designing pontic metal substructures based on basic principles. Materials and Methods: This research measured pontic basal surface (P1) used sample metal substructures in this study, gingiva margin (P2), and the porcelain thickness of maximum infrabulge of labial surface around 1/3 of cervix dentis (P3). One-way ANOVA analysis was carried out to test the differences among groups, Tukey Honestly Significant Difference Test was conducted for statistical analysis among groups. Results: For porcelain thickness and SD value, the P1 part was $1.2-1.8({\pm}0.17)mm$ for experimental group 1, $1.2-1.7({\pm}0.17)mm$ for experimental group 2, and $0.4-2.8({\pm}0.92)mm$ for experimental group 3. Next, the P2 part was $1.4-1.6({\pm}0.07)mm$ for experimental group 1, $1.3-1.8({\pm}0.07)mm$ for experimental group 2, and $0.5-2.7({\pm}0.67)mm$ for experimental group 3. The P3 part was $1.4-1.7({\pm}0.10)mm$ for experimental group 1, $1.5-2({\pm}0.10)mm$ for experimental group 2, and $0.9-3.1mm({\pm}0.90)$ for experimental group 3. There was no significance when One-way ANOVA analysis/Tukey Honestly Significant Difference Test was conducted for statistical analysis among groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The suggested metal substructures can be used clinically as they meet the requirements that pontic must have.
We investigate the cell performance and characteristics of a direct formic acid fuel cell (DFAFC) using palladium (Pd) as a catalyst for anode. Pd is deposited on the electrolyte using the "direct paint" method. From a continuous three time-test of the polarization curve of the DFAFC, it is found that the catalytic activity of Pd and the cell performance of DFAFC steadily degrade as the tests are proceeded. This behavior may be due to the deactivation of Pd by formate (COOH) and hydroxyl (OH) groups, which are electrochemically dissociated from formic acid solution. Estimations of the degradation, followed by reactivation in activity of Pd catalyst and DFAFC cell performance are implemented by linear voltage sweep tests going in both positive and negative directions. When the maximum voltage of 1.0 V versus DHE is applied to the cell while a linear voltage sweep test going in negative directions, the activity of Pd catalyst and the DFAFC cell performance recover by the rehabilitation in activity of the deactivated Pd.

The subjects in this study were 209 selected emergency medical workers who worked shifts in the emergency medical centers of general hospitals located in two different provinces. A survey was conducted from March 1 to June 30, 2015. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 for Windows usingfrequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach alpha coefficients, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the quality of life was correlated with stress and job satisfaction. Second, the quality of life was found to have affected the levels of physical and psychological stress(p<.001). Third, the quality of life was found to have exercised an influence on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was under the significant influence of post-sleep recovery, difficulty in falling asleep, difficulty in getting up and difficulty in sleep maintenance. Fourth, psychological stress was found to have had a partial impact on job satisfaction(p<.01). Given the findings of this study, an appropriate increase in staffing and the guarantee of proper sleeping hours are necessary to improve the quality of sleep. Moreover, the development of programs that aim at relieving physical and psychological stress is required. Thus, various institutional measures should be taken to boost job satisfaction.
The accurate measurement of the femoral anteversion is very important to the practice of orthopedic and osteotomy. It is measured by means of the axis of head and neck of the femur and the knee axis. At the present time, widely used computed tomography method of measuring anteversion on femoral necks of patients. Measurement by the manual method and image viewer of computed tomography to determine the anteversion of femoral head were carried out on both femurs. In September and October 2002, 5 patients 28 to 36 years of age were randomly selected from Seoul National University Hospital. Statement of problem: Damping of the peak force transmitted to implants has been reported by in vitro studies using impact forces on resin-veneered superstructures. Theoretical assumptions suggest that use of acrylic resin for the occlusal surfaces of a prosthesis would protect the connection between implant and bone. Therefore, the relationship between prosthesis materials and the force transmitted through the implant system also needs to be investigated under conditions that resemble the intraoral mechanical environment. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the fracture strength and modes of temporary prosthesis when a flange or occlusally extended structure were connected on the top of the abutment. Material and method: Modified abutments of winged and bulk design were made by casting the desired wax pattern which is made on the UCLA type plastic cylinder. Temporary crowns were made using templates on the modified abutments, and its fracture toughness and strain were compared to the traditional temporary prosthesis. To evaluate the effect of aging, 5.000 times of thermocycling were performed, and their result was compared to the 24hours specimen result. Results: The following conclusions were drawn from this study: 1. In the fracture toughness test, temporary crown's fracture line located next to the screw hole while modified designs with metal support showed fracture line on the metal and its propagation along the metal-resin interface. 2. Wing and bulk structure didn't show significant difference in the fracture toughness (p>0.05), but wing structure showed stress concentration on the screw hole area compared to bulk structure which showed even stress distribution. 3. In the fracture toughness test after thermocycling, wing and bulk structure showed increased or similar results in metal supported area while off-metal area and temporary crown showed decreased results. 4. In the strain measurement after thermocycling, its value increased in the temporary and bulk structure. However, wing structure showed decreased value in the loading point while increased value in the screw hole area. Conclusion: Wing type design showed compatible result to the bulk type that its application with composite resin prosthesis to the implant dentistry is considered promising.

INTRODUCTION: The build-up method has been used for application of porcelain powder on the metal framework to make final tooth shape conventionally. This method takes time and need skill to mimic final shade and shape of porcelain fused to metal crown. The purpose of this study was to develop standard shape and shade laminating porcelain forms to reduce build-up time. METHODS: To make tooth form porcelain paste, several liquid organic compounds were added to conventional feldspathic porcelain. The amount of additives and rheologic property were tested to find out best composition. Comparison of mixing methods to reduced porosity, proper heating schedule, and measurement of shrinkage amount and residual organic materials were performed to set-up standard procedures. Finally, biaxial flexural strength and color of preformed laminated paste porcelain were compared with those of porcelain which fabricated by the conventional build-up method. RESULTS: There was no significant difference in physical properties and color stability between two fabrication methods after various testing methods. Conclusion: This new build-up method can be applied to fabricate the PFM crown and bridge without any loss of strength and optical properties.
