Product and Market Knowledge Spillover Effects on Innovation and Regional Export Growth : The Case of New Zealand

  • This study extends the previous research into the effects of knowledge spillovers on innovation and regional exports growth by more clearly distinguishing, both theoretically and empirically, two different types of knowledge spillovers, namely product and market knowledge spillovers. More importantly, this research provides insights on their role of knowledge spillovers in shaping regional innovative activities and, eventually, regional export growths. Furthermore, this research makes an important contribution to the understudied market knowledge spillovers by developing two variables that could be used to assess the flow of market knowledge spillovers at the regional level: localization economies and export consulting advice. Using secondary data on eight 2-digit manufacturing industries in ten New Zealand regions over a seven year period, this research found that regional competition, localization economies and the availability of export consulting advice have positively and significantly impact on the regional export growth in New Zealand.

세계 중형 항공기 시장 동향과 전망 (The Trend and forecast of Regional Aircraft market)

  • 지역 내에서 주로 운항되는 중형항공기 시장은 2001년 이후 전반적인 세계경기 회복기조 속에서 꾸준한 성장을 이어왔으나, 2007년 말 경부터 이어진 세계적인 불경기는 현재 그 미래를 혼란스럽게 하고 있다. 현재까지 리저널 항공기 산업은 항공기의 대형화와 리저널 젯의 확산이 주요 시장 동향으로 나타나고 있었다. 그러나, 유가 급등이나 세계 경제 침체와 같은 상황적 변화는 세계 항공사에 경제적인 타격을 가져왔으며 특히, 1990년대 ERJ-145의 성공으로 중형항공기의 주류를 이루었던 터보젯 기에 대한 회의적인 시각과 함께, 잊혀져가던 터보프롭 중형기가 새로이 주목받기도 하는 등 이는 다시 항공기 제작사 및 이들의 개발 계획에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 이에 따라 비록 현재 진행 중인 신규 항공기 개발 계획은 여전히 터보젯 기종이 주를 이루고 있으나, 여러 시장 전망 자료에서는 향후 시장에서 터보프롭기의 비중을 늘리고 있는 현실이다. 본 고에서는 여러 시장 전망 자료를 바탕으로 향후 중형항공기 시장의 변화 방향에 대하여 논하였다.

국제 원유선물시장의 지역블록화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Regional Blocs of International Crude Oil Futures Market)

  • This study intends to examine the regional blocs of the international crude oil futures market by analyzing the dynamic conditional correlation between the international crude oil futures markets using the DCC-GARCH model. For statistical data, from April 2, 2018 to March 31, 2022, international crude oil futures prices such as Europe, the United States, China, and Dubai were used. To summarize the results of the study, first, the phenomenon of regional blocs in the international crude oil futures market is occurring, and it is found that it is gradually strengthening as time goes by. Second, it was found that the dynamic correlation of the international crude oil futures market is temporarily strengthened when a supply-demand imbalance problem occurs due to a global shock. Third, it was found that the volatility of the Chinese crude oil futures market affects the international crude oil futures market. This study confirmed that the regional blocs phenomenon in the international crude oil futures market is strengthened as time goes by. In particular, it suggested that China's influence in the international oil market would increase.

한국 기업의 중국 유통시장의 진출 전략에 관한 연구 (A study on the Entry Strategy of Chinese Distribution Market in Korean Company)

  • The China has opened the distribution market completely since it joined the World Trade Organization on Dec 11 2001. The notable features of Chinese distribution market are the transition from the consumers' monolithic demand to diversification for the luxury goods, well-being products. The regional characteristics of consumers are smart, conservative, optimistic and advanced. and the open door policy has prompted the capitalistic economy gradually. We analyzed the Chinese distribution markets and came up with the following strategies. First, we recommend the setting of the key regional market not covering the whole chinese markets. then we can extend the main market step by step. Second, we need to cooperate and advance with the Korean distribution companies which entered into markets already. Third, we need to acquire the competitive and stable distribution channel in China. Fourth, we need to implement the localization strategy in terms of human resources and procurement. Fifth, the consignment management can be another strategy. I hope this research can be a little help to those who wish to expand to the Chinese markets.

우리나라 광역대도시 지역노동시장의 임금결정과정과 소득격차 (Wage Determination Process and Income Disparity in Korean Metropolitan Cities)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 광역대도시의 노동시장을 사례로, 지역노동시장이 갖는 지역성을 임금결정과정을 중심으로 고찰하였다 외환위기이후 주목을 받기 시작한 대도시내 실업과 같은 노동시장의 구조변화와 계층간의 사회적 분극화는 별개의 현상이 아니며 대도시내 노동시장과정을 통해 긴밀히 연결되어 있다. 임금결정과정에 대한 회귀분석결과, 전체적으로 고학력 및 고기능 사무직 근로자에 대한 임금상승효과가 대도시를 중심으로 두드러지게 나타난다. 이는 대도시에서 산업재구조화와 정보기술의 보급에 따른 노동시장의 수요변화와 맞물리면서 기술적.공간적 불일치에 의한 구조적 실업의 양산과 직종간의 임금격차를 유발하게 되는 것과 긴밀히 관련되어 있다. 또한 임금결정과정에 기초한 노동시장과정은 뚜렷한 지역성을 갖고 있기 때문에, 개별 광역시 노동시장내 임금결정과정과 그것이 갖는 소득변화에 대한 영향은 특정 노동시장의 특성, 즉 노동시장의 공급 및 수요구조, 산업구조 및 실업변화 등에 기초해서 이해되어야 한다 이러한 사실이 바로 지역정책으로서 노동시장정책이 올바로 정립되어야 하는 이유이며, 이는 바로 노동시장에 대한 지리학적 연구를 통해 이루어질 수 있다.

From Tradition to National Trend: A New Strategy for Creating Brand Image of Night Market from the Perspective of Regional Culture -Take night markets in Changzhou, China as an example

  • As a public space providing night commercial services, night market represents the regional culture of a region or city to a certain extent. With the development of material economy and the continuous improvement of spiritual civilization, the modern night market has also begun to show some new changes. is an important strategy for the development and transformation of modern night market to build the brand image of night market and turn the traditional night market into a new "national tide" night market". Based on the regional cultural perspective, this paper takes many night markets in Changzhou, China as the object of study, and aims to summarize the effective ways to construct a new night market image. We are designed the following conclusions. The first is to deploy rational and unique features. The second is to enrich the business style and to perfect matching. The third is to regulate management and promote multiple effects. Therefore, it is expected that a new strategy will be proposed to create a night market brand image from a local cultural perspective.

  • This paper studied the premodern Chinese Medical Herb Market and commercial culture by analysing the structure and management of Qizhou(祁州) Medical Herb Market, the most representative herb market of the Qing(淸) Dynasty. The merchant of Qizhou(祁州) Medical Herb Market developed 'guild halls(會館)' or 'regional merchant groups(地域商帮)' and form a strong regional bond. These local merchants brought medical herbs from their hometown to Qizhou(祁州) to sell, and bought herbs that were not produced in their hometown or valuable medical herbs from Qizhou(祁州) Medical Herb Market. Qizhou(祁州) Medical Herb Market was a space of various types of business managements. The major business of Qizhou(祁州) Medical Herb Market was herb trade but merchants of other related industries were also active. The thtive of 'Wu Da Hui(五大會)' reflects this.

  • 지방자치제 시행과 함께 지역방송의 영향력이 중요해지고 있다. 지역방송사는 본 연구는 광주지역방송사 프로그램의 '시장이 좋다'의 만족도와 시장 활성화 여부가 시장 상인들의 공중관계성에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 지역에 거주하고 있는 상인들 256명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 연구결과 프로그램 만족도와 프로그램을 통한 시장 활성화 여부는 모두 공중관계성에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 지역 방송 활성화를 위한 프로그램 만족도는 헌신성, 관계성, 신뢰성의 순으로 영향력이 나타났으며, 시장 활성화 여부는 관계성, 신뢰성, 헌신성 순으로 모두 정적 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 지역주민을 위한 양질의 프로그램 개발이 지역방송 융합과 함께 방송사 브랜드 이미지에도 중요한 역할을 함을 시사한다. 따라서 향 후 프로그램을 활용한 지역방송 프로그램 구성에 있어서 지역 활성화를 통한 긍정적 상호관계성이 지역방송 정책에 있어 필요할 것으로 보인다.

  • Discussions are given to Korea all transport market and its intrinsic problems related to airport spatial distribution and facility capacities. Regional development impacts and demand forecasts are major variables for identifying a future direction for restructuring air transport market in Korea. A brief introduction is also given to the New Seoul International Airport(NSIA) that is expected to lead domestic and the North East Asia ail transport market.
