  • Purpose: The regional trauma center should be a trauma treatment center equipped with facilities, equipment, and manpower capable of providing optimal treatment such as emergency surgery to a severely traumatized patient upon arrival at the hospital. In order to establish a medical system for effective severe diseases, it is necessary to prepare architectural planning guidelines for the regional trauma centers. Methods:: Analyze the spatial configuration, and the area composition of the regional trauma center, And to provide basic data for building a more efficient regional trauma center. The spatial composition analysis divides the space into initial care, resuscitation, patient area, nursing area, diagnostic test, staff training, staff support, public, and analyzes the area and interconnection of each space. Results: The area that must be included in the regional trauma center is the resuscitation area, the patient area, the diagnostic examination area, architectural planning should be designed to enhance the interconnection of the areas. IIn addition, a regional trauma center should be planned as a separate from the existing facility so that it can be installed and operated independently. Implications: A regional trauma center should be built as a stand alone operation and the space should be planned as a more efficient route.

  • For running various construction processing information and technological information, it is supplied by Construction CALS/EC systems properly during whole facilities life cycle. So it is urgently necessary to change Regional Construction 8t Management Office (RCMO) equipment construction administration business to electron processing system (CALS/EC). From construction work plan to completion, a present storage documents system is unsystematic. Therefore, it needs management system to store documents and to read in turn documents properly. This research suggest that it is to connect with various information systems and Construction CALS/EC for RCMO which is running public construction field. So it can be driven systematic and effective administration system about public construction business by Web-based present construction situation information system.

  • Abandoned mines represent unused space resulting from resource use and changes in industrial environments. Efforts are underway to repurpose such underground spaces, leveraging their unique attributes of temperature stability, shading, and security. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of operating high-demand data centers and public sports facilities as potential recycling options for abandoned mine spaces. The status of data centers located in abandoned mines abroad was examined, including their operational technology capitalizing on the advantages of underground spaces. Considering the varying sizes of underground spaces in different types of abandoned mine in South Korea, the suitability of installing facilities for 12 different sports was evaluated for potential contributions to the health and welfare of local residents. The utilization of abandoned mine spaces as data centers and public sports facilities is expected to not only recycle industrial heritage but also to allow new development opportunities for local communities.

  • This paper deals with construction of a new administrative city in Naju. This kind of cities are commonly called as 'innovation city' in Korea. This is an experimental regional development program for non-Capital regions. State-owned corporations and public agencies are going to be relocated in the cities. Whether the employees will settle down in Naju with their families is the main research question in this paper. The result of the survey shows that more than half of the respondents are not going to settle down with their families. They are not optimistic about the present and future of the city either. In order to induce in-migration with families, educational environment need to be improved. To help their children to have more chance to talk with native English speakers is one of the examples. Facilities for the illed and the old are also necessary.

  • There are an increasing number of healthcare facilaties, especially branch offices, in rural areas to serve the aging population living there. However, there has been a gradual decline in the ratios of recognition, satisfaction and utilization by people who live in the regions. A significant reason of declining the ratios should be the population decline, but the most of population hierarchy shows the groups of elderly people over 60. This result appears to be limited to visit the public health centers. According to the result of population hierarchy, a branch office of public health center has been re-established as a complex welfare facility which can be fulfilled in the functions of basic medical supports and cultural supports. This research is focused on collecting the meaningful information of the status of physical facilities and utilization with 15branch offices of public health care centers in the rural regions near the city of Ik-San city. In addition, this research has a purpose of getting fundamental data for future architectural plans of the branch offices in rural regions with the results about the status of facility operation systems and users' needs.
