지역적 지속가능성의 실천으로서의 업사이클링 패션디자인 개발 - 동대문구 창신동을 중심으로 - (Developing upcycled fashion design for regional sustainability - Focusing on Changshin-dong area -)

  • The purpose of this study is to review and establish the three concepts of upcycling, zero-waste fashion design, and regional sustainability through a review of domestic and international case studies. Furthermore, it will provide the theoretical basis for using upcycling as a regional sustainability practice to create zero-waste fashion design. To conduct an empirical study, we systematized the stages of the survey on waste resources in Changsin-dong, the sourcing and utilization of waste resources, the design-planning stage, and the co-production with pattern and sewing masters as a suggested practice for regional sustainability. Through this study, we propose the possibility of regional sustainability by developing and sharing the method of zero-waste fashion design. The conclusion of the study as follows: First, upcycling fashion designs can be extended to a regional sustainability practice by taking the characteristics of social design into account. Second, by providing a design development process and methodology suitable for regional sustainability application, it is helpful to revitalize regional upcycling fashion brands and communities by providing data for upcycled fashion branding. Third, as part of the revitalization project for the Chang-shin and Soongin areas that started in 2014, using the region's economic, cultural, and environmental characteristics to make and sell high-value, upcycled fashion products will contribute to social and economic achievements and aid in solving regional problems.

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 지역의 산업 다양성 및 혁신역량을 진단하고 자생적 지역발전을 위한 우선순위 설정 방식에 대해 논의한다. 1990년대 후반 이후 수도권과 비수도권 간의 경제적 격차를 줄이기 위한 지역발전정책이 다각도로 시도되었지만, 지역의 산업 특성 및 혁신역량을 고려한 발전전략 수립은 미흡하였다. 기술과 산업의 고도화 및 다변화에 따라 지역은 특정 산업에 특화하는 전략에서 벗어나 경제 충격에 대비하기 위한 전략적 다각화를 모색해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 지역의 산업 다양성을 무관다양성(unrelated variety)과 연관다양성(related variety) 지표를 이용하여 특성화한다. 다양성 지표는 수도권-비수도권 간, 제조업-서비스업 간 상이한 양태를 보이며, 이는 지역발전에서 산업적 특성을 고려해야 할 필요성을 제기한다. 마지막으로 다양성 지표와 혁신역량지표를 두 축으로 하여 우리나라 시군구 지자체의 현 상황을 네 가지로 유형화하고 각 유형에 맞는 지역발전정책 우선순위를 제안한다.

  • Danish Modern has been recognized as simple and comfortable design movement that was matched with its unique regional environment. There are various internationally well known designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton. Danish Modern movement and International style had vital role to activate these designers' ideas and design quality. This paper aims to study the background and design characteristics of Danish Modern movement as well as some of the spatial projects by Arne Jacobsen. Furniture design of Jacobsen were already throughly studied in various researches. However his spatial projects such as architectural buildings and interior designs were not. This study analyzes three major architectural projects based on the four characteristics of Danish Modern: Formal Simplicity, Simple Functionality, Regional Contextuality, Reasonable Amusement. After the case study, this study discovered that Danish Modern characteristics had unique roles in the design process of Jacobsen's projects. Danish Modern is still valid design philosophy that can be applied to contemporary society.

  • 지진 지역계수는 역사지진과 계기지진의 기록을 기초로 한 지진의 지역성이 고려된 지역적 지진특성을 고려하여 평가되어진다. 본 연구는 국내 지진자료의 분석을 통해 지역별 지진발생 특성을 정리하고 국내의 지진환경 특성을 검토하여 지진지역 계수 설정을 위한 기초 자료의 제공을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구를 통해 역사지진과 계기지진에 각각의 특성을 정리하였고 이를 비교하여 우리나라의 지진발생 특성에 대한 기초 자료를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • London's BID, introduced in the early 2000s, has grown significantly to fill the gap between government services which have been decreased by the global recession and localism, and the demand for better services to strengthen competitiveness on a global level. Based on this background, this study comparatively analysed two BIDs in London with contrasting regional characteristics to find how BID works differently for the regeneration and sustainable development of regional business districts according to regional characteristics. As a result, the two BIDs ultimately had the goal of improving the local business environment and strengthening the competitiveness of local businesses and had a common point of working in close partnership with the public sector such as the local government. However, depending on the local situation and characteristics, it has been observed that there are differences in the strategies of work and the roles and relationships in the partnership with the public sector.

봄철 강수량 및 강수효율의 지역적 특성별 변화분석 (Analyzing the Variability of Spring Precipitation and Rainfall Effectiveness According to the Regional Characteristics)

  • The temporal variability of spring (March, April, May) monthly precipitation, precipitation effectiveness, monthly maximum precipitation, monthly precipitation of different durations, and the precipitation days over several threshold (i.e. 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 mm/day) of 59 weather stations between 1973 and 2009 were analyzed. Also to analyze the regional characteristics of temporal variability, 59 weather stations were classified by elevations, latitudes, longitudes, river basins, inland or shore (east sea, south sea, west sea) area and the level of urbanization. Results demonstrated that trends of variables increase in April and decrease in May except precipitation day. Overall trend of precipitation amount and precipitation effectiveness is same but precipitation effectiveness of several sites decrease despite the trend of precipitation amount increases which may be caused by the air temperature increase. Therefore more effective water supply strategy is essential for Spring season. Regional characteristics of Spring precipitation variability can be summarized that increase trend during May become stronger with the increase of latitude and elevation which is similar to that of Summer season. The temporal variability of variables showed different behaviors according to river basins, inland or shore (east sea, south sea, west sea) area and the level of urbanization.

  • The aim of this study is to examine the characteristics of facade expression designed by Kim. Han-sup, a key architect in the regional modern architecture movement in Gwang-ju and Jeonnam from the 1950's to 1960's. The study begins with the architectural background and thoughts of Kim. Han-sup through literature reviews and introduces an interview with Han. chong-un, a former college student and employee of Kim, which explains the aesthetic architecture that appeared in his design of facades that was reasonably applied to materials, technology, structure and function in line with the economically tough period in Korea. Furthermore, in order to investigate the characteristics of his facade expression, detailed analysis items will be derived from precedent studies. This study will attempt to conclude with statements that his aesthetic architecture can be defined as an emphasis on formative mass by contrasting between basic rectangular forms, implementation with detailed three-dimensional facade by extruding differently vertical and horizontal structural lines and with the pursuit of decoration through compartmental faces on his 12 representative architectural works.

지역간과 대도시 화물자동차 통행발생 특성 비교 (The Comparison Between Regional and Urban Truck Movement Characteristics)

  • 본 연구는 지역적 범위에 따른 화물자동차의 통행발생 특성을 비교 분석함으로써 지역간 및 대도시 화물수요모형 추정의 차이점을 도출하고 지역적 범위에 적합한 화물수요모형 개발의 필요성을 제시하고자 하였다. 지역간 및 대도시 화물자동차의 통행발생 특성을 분석하기 위하여 화물자동차 속성, 출발지 특성, 도착지 특성, 적재품목을 고려한 서열로짓모형을 구축하였으며, 이를 통하여 다양한 특성이 화물자동차의 통행발생에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 지역간 화물자동차와 대도시 화물자동차의 통행발생 특성은 화물자동차 속성, 출발지 특성, 도착지 특성, 적재품목에서 모두 서로 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 지역간 화물자동차는 대도시와 달리 출발지 및 도착지 유형이 제조업이고, 출발지 및 도착지의 산업단지 생산액이 클수록 통행수가 많은 것으로 나타났다.

고랭지 밭 유역의 융설에 의한 수질특성 (Characteristics of Water Quality in Basin of Alpine Field during the Snowmelt Season)

  • In this study, Song-Cheon river Basin located at Dae-kwan-lyong Meyn in Kang-Won Province was monitored to analyze characteristics of non-point source pollution during the snowmelt period. The characteristics of NPS pollution such as runoff, change in water quality and pollutant loads by snowmelt were investigated from 23th February 2010 to 27th April 2010. The results showed that The climate change effects flow, turbidity and concentration of SS and COD with showing similar trend of fluctuation. Daily pollutant loads per unit area were SS 74.43 kg/ha/day, COD 1.25 kg/ha/day, BOD 0.21 kg/ha/day, TN 0.717 kg/ha/day, TP 0.141 kg/ha/day and the flow weight mean concentration has been SS 985.97 mg/L, COD 16.28 mg/L, BOD 2.67 mg/L, TN 9.302 mg/L, TP 1.834 mg/L, respectively. The flow and pollutant loads both of SS and of COD significantly increased during the snowmelt period. Because structurally loosen soil by freezing and thawing deteriorates water quality, research and management measures will be needed.

Characteristics of long-range transported PM2.5 at a coastal city using the single particle aerosol mass spectrometry

  • Air pollution has attracted ever-increasing attention because of its substantial influence on air quality and human health. To better understand the characteristics of long-range transported pollution, the single particle chemical composition and size were investigated by the single particle aerosol mass spectrometry in Fuzhou, China from 17th to 22nd January, 2016. The results showed that the haze was mainly caused by the transport of cold air mass under higher wind speed (10 m·s-1) from the Yangtze River Delta region to Fuzhou. The number concentration elevated from 1,000 to 4,500 #·h-1, and the composition of mobile source and secondary aerosol increased from 24.3% to 30.9% and from 16.0% to 22.5%, respectively. Then, the haze was eliminated by the clean air mass from the sea as indicated by a sharp decrease of particle number concentration from 4,500 to 1,000 #·h-1. The composition of secondary aerosol and mobile sources decreased from 29.3% to 23.5% and from 30.9% to 23.1%, respectively. The particles with the size ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 ㎛ were mainly in the accumulation mode. The stationary source, mobile source, and secondary aerosol contributed to over 70% of the potential sources. These results will help to understand the physical and chemical characteristics of long- range transported pollutants.
