We analyze fault detection algorithm of ephemeris included in navigation message, which is one of the GNSS risk factors. This algorithm uses carrier-phase measurement and baseline vector of two reference stations and is alternative method for uncertainty condition of previous ephemeris. Even though same ephemeris fault is occurred, the geometry condition, between baseline vector of reference stations and satellites, effects on performance of algorithm. Also, we introduce the suitable geometry of reference stations, threshold and performance index (MDE : Minimum Detectable Error) in jeju international airport.

3-PM liquid scintillation counting using the geometry-efficiency variation technique has been applied to the activity measurement of $^{204}T1$, which decays to $^{204}Hg\;and\;^{204}Pb\;by\;{\beta}^-$ and E.C., respectively. The TDCR values K have been derived over a wide range, 0.78 < K < 0.97, by displacing the detectors up to 50 mm away from an unquenched liquid scintillation sample $^{204}Tl$. The derived plots of the logic sums of double coincidences $N_D(K)$ very K vary linearly in the observed regions. The fractions of losses due to electron capture decay have been taken into account by employing a PENELOPE Monte Carlo simulation. The calibrated activity is 102.3 kBq at a reference date of July 1st, 2002 (UT) with a combined uncertainty of $0.63\%$. This is consistent with the value determined by means of the CIEMAT/NIST method at KRISS.
This paper proposes a robust, simple zonal wavefront-estimation method in a grid sampling model. More slopes are added to the integral equation of the algorithm to improve the accuracy and convergence rate of this approach, especially for higher-order optical aberrations. The Taylor theorem is applied to clarify the mathematical description of the remaining error in the proposed method. Several numerical simulations are conducted to ensure the performance and improvement in comparison to the Southwell and previous algorithm. An experiment is also conducted according to deflectometry output and the results are verified using a reference measured with a stylus system.
In the eLoran navigation system, the dominant deterioration factors of navigation accuracy are the TOA measurement errors on user receiver and the GDOP between the receiver and the transmitters. But if the ASF data measured at dLoran reference station are provided for users through the Loran data channel, it will be possible to correct the TOA measurement errors. The position accuracy can be determined by the DOP depending on the geometry of receiver-transmitters, and their optimal placement improves the navigation accuracy. In this study we determined the geometric placement in case of up to six stations, and evaluated the performance of position accuracy for the receiver-transmitter geometry set of eLoran stations. The proposed geometry of eLoran stations can be referred for the construction of eLoran infrastructure meeting the capability of HEA for maritime, and time/frequency users in Korea.
Since the detection probability is critically dependent on the target strength (TS) in active sonar and on the radiated noise level (RNL) in passive sonar, the acoustic materials for echo reduction (ER) and transmission loss (TL) are widely used for the stealth of underwater targets. In this paper, a measurement system based on the small water tank, for the frequency range of greater than 30 kHz, is developed and verified using reference targets. In order to design the water tank and the geometry of test samples, a program is developed to calculate the arrival time of interfering signals due to the reflection from water tank walls and also due to the diffraction from the edge of the test samples. Considering all the interfering signals, an optimal experimental configuration for water tank and test samples is designed and used throughout the experiment. Next, the signal processing algorithms to estimate ER and TL are developed based on the measured propagation loss reflecting the geometric spreading characteristics of the transducer. Finally, a set of reference targets such as aluminium plate and perfectly reflecting plate are used in a small water tank to verify the developed measurement system.

The human ear canal amplifies the sound pressure level at specific frequency bands. The characteristics of the ear canal are very similar to those of curved cylindrical tube. In this study, the characteristics of sound transfer in human ear canal were measured and the acoustical space of ear canal was reproduced from the canal cavity geometry. For the measurement of sound transfer function in ear canal, a probe microphone and a reference microphone were used. The sound transfer functions were measured for 5 human subjects. To reproduce the acoustical space of the ear canal, two kinds of ear simulator were designed. The first one is a straight cylindrical tube type and the other is a real-shape ear of which geometry was taken from a micro-CT scanning of a human ear. The characteristics of the reproduced apparatus were compared with those of the human and a commercial ear simulator, RA0045 of G.R.A.S. Inc. The comparison results show that the developed apparatus well represent the ear canal characteristics in the low frequency, but have limited coincidence in level over high frequency range.

In this paper, we propose the algorithm that automatically measures the height of the object to move on the base plane by using the geometric information. To extract a moving object from real-time images creates the background image and each pixel is modeled by the three values. The extracted region is represented by cardboard model and calculates the coordinate center in the each part. The top and bottom point of an object are extracted by the calculated coordinate center and an iterative computation. The two points, top and bottom, are used for measuring the height. Given the vanishing line of the ground plane, the vertical vanishing point, and at least one reference height in the scene; then the height of any point from the ground may be computed by specifying the image of the point and the image of the vertical intersection with the ground plane at that point. Through a confidence valuation of the height to be measured, we confirmed similar actual height and result in the simulation experiment.
PURPOSE. Digital technology has enabled improvements in the fitting accuracy of denture bases via milling techniques. The aim of this study was to evaluate the trueness and precision of digital and analog techniques for manufacturing complete dentures (CDs). MATERIALS AND METHODS. Sixty identical CDs were manufactured using different production protocols. Digital and analog technologies were compared using the reference geometric approach, and the Δ-error values of eight areas of interest (AOI) were calculated. For each AOI, a precise number of measurement points was selected according to sensitivity analyses to compare the Δ-error of trueness and precision between the original model and manufactured prosthesis. Three types of statistical analysis were performed: to calculate the intergroup cumulative difference among the three protocols, the intergroup among the AOIs, and the intragroup difference among AOIs. RESULTS. There was a statistically significant difference between the dentures made using the oversize process and injection molding process (P < .001), but no significant difference between the other two manufacturing methods (P = .1227). There was also a statistically significant difference between the dentures made using the monolithic process and the other two processes for all AOIs (P = .0061), but there was no significant difference between the other two processes (P = 1). Within each group, significant differences among the AOIs were observed. CONCLUSION. The monolithic process yielded better results, in terms of accuracy (trueness and precision), than the other groups, although all three processes led to dentures with Δ-error values well within the clinical tolerance limit.

In this study, a novel method referred as non-marker vision-based displacement measuring system(NVDMS) was introduced in order to measure the displacement of structure. There are two distinct differences between proposed NVDMS and existing vision-based displacement measuring system(VDMS). First, the NVDMS extracts the pixel coordinates of the structure using a feature point not a marker. Second, in the NVDMS, the scaling factor in order to convert the coordinates of a feature points from pixel value to physical value can be calculated by using the external conditions between the camera and the structure, which are distance, angle, and focal length, while the scaling factor for VDMS can be calculated by using the geometry of marker. The free vibration test using the three-stories scale model was conducted in order to analyze the reliability of the displacement data obtained from the NVDMS by comparing the reference data obtained from laser displacement sensor(LDS), and the measurement of dynamic characteristics was proceed using the displacement data. The NVDMS can accurately measure the dynamic displacement of the structure without the marker, and the high reliability of the dynamic characteristics obtained from the NVDMS are secured.
The design of reactor internals requires the accurate vibration characteristics of each component for subsequent dynamic structural response analysis. For Korean standard nuclear power plant some modifications on the Control Element Assembly shroud from the reference design have been made. Since the shroud is complex in geometry having an array of vertical round tubes and webs in a square grid pattern, and being tied down by preloaded tie rods into position, it is planned to perform a vibration measurement program consisting of both experimental and analytical modal studies upon that component. To determine the proper test conditions, the pre-test analysis has been performed using the general purpose structural analysis program ANSYS. Also the effects of the number of master degrees of freedom, holes in the web and tie-rod preload on the natural frequencies are examined prior to the pre-test analysis. After decision of appropriate finite element model, frequency analysis and harmonic analysis are performed and ideas for the test conditions such as the number of measurement points, their locations, measurement frequency range and the excitation force level are determined.
