This study addresses the reference spent fuel and its characteristics for developing a geological repository concept. As a disposal capacity of the reference repository system to be developed, spent fuel inventories were projected based on the basis of the Nuclear Energy Plan of the Long-term National Power Program. The reference spent fuel encompassing a variability in characteristics of all existing and future spent fuels of interest was defined. Key parameters in the reference fuel screening processes were the nuclear and mechanical design parameters and the burnup histories for existing spent fuels as of 1996 and for future spent fuels with the more extended burnup the initial enrichment and its expected turnup. The selected reference fuel was characterized in terms of initial enrichment, bumup, dimension, gross weight and age. Also the isotopic composition and the radiological properties are quantitatively identified. This information provided in this study could be used as input for repository system development and performance assessment and applied in fuel material balance evaluation for the various types of back-end fuel cycle studies.
The Grid Reference System, which was firstly used in SPOT series, has been successfully adapted in KOMPSAT-1 and KOMPSAT-2 program, which identifies the geographical location to make image collection plans and manage the database of satellite images. Each Grid Reference System for KOMPSAT-1 and KOMPSAT-2 was designed based on system parameters related to each KOMPSAT-1 and KOMPSAT-2 and this fact leads to the need for the design of the Grid Reference System for KOMPSAT-3 (KGRS-3, hereafter), which reflects system parameters for KOMPSAT-3. The (K, J) coordinate system has been defined as the Grid Reference System for KOMPSAT-3 using heritages from KOMPSAT-1 and KOMPSAT-2 programs. The numbering of K begins with the prime meridian of K = 1 with running eastward on earth increasingly, and the numbering of J uses a value of J = 1000 at all points on the equator and begin with running northward increasingly. The Grid Reference System for KOMPSAT-3 is to be implemented in Ground Segment of KOMPSAT-3 system.

The paper deals with a study on an electronic watering device. The system is designed to scan 10 probes so that they detect moisture of soil. Input potentials are compared with reference level before the system is watering. rt provides a main clock oscillator and a control oscillator for the system control, and a programmable unijunction transistor is used for the control circuit. The reference levels are adjustable so as to water various soils. The device is tested for two different sails of moisture content ranging from 6 to 51%. It works at any input level higher than 0.6 V compared to the reference level.

Effective data exchange among the diverse stakeholders participating in a process plant project is an important issue. ISO 15926 is an international standard to support sharing and integrating of process plant data. iRINGTools is an ISO 15926-based tool used to exchange plant data. To exchange plant data using iRINGTools, the mapping between the data model of a commercial system and ISO 15926 should be preceded. To accomplish this, types and properties of equipment and materials used for plant design should be predefined and these data should be represented as user-defined reference data complying with ISO 15926. Besides, the user-defined reference data should be serviced by a reference data server such that iRINGTools searches reference data from the server and utilizes the data for the model mapping. In this paper, we present a method to construct a reference data server and use it for the model mapping in iRINGTools. The proposed method is verified through experiments of exchanging specifications data of equipment and materials using iRINGTools.
This research presents a method for the initial structural design of a multi-megawatt wind turbine blade. The structural data for a 2-MW blade were applied as the blade structural characteristic data of the reference blade. Tenkinds of blade models were newly designed by replacing the spar cap axial GRRP with a GFRP and CFRP These terms should be defined. at different orientations. The axial stiffness coefficients of the newly designed models were made equal to the coefficient of the reference blade. The required numbers of layers in each section of blades were calculated, and the lay-up designs were based on these numbers. Verification results showed that the design method that used the structural data of the reference blade was appropriate for the initial structural design of a wind turbine blade.
This Study developed library of parts, applied with 3-dimension character which has width, length and height and a reference plane, for the system development of BIM design on housing unit modular. The current BIM software has not the concept of a reference plane or work tolerance in modular, so the development of parts library applied to unit modular has not moved forward. So, we developed, in this study, parts library applied to windows, built-in-furniture, kitchen systems and knock down bathrooms, with a reference plane and work tolerance based on single roon prototype on urban-life-housings. BIM library can utilize changed size and work tolerance of parts, and fabricating reference plane will be created automatically when an engineer puts work tolerance in the BIM library with supplement of some category related to work reference. Through this BIM library development, we consider the part module can be used for housing complex planning, and architectural designers will be able to utilize the BIM library for housing complex design.

In the industrial motor drive system, a shaft torsional vibration is often generated when a motor and a load are connected with a flexible shaft. This paper treats the vibration suppression control of such a system. Recently, there are new methods which estimate unknown state variables by using a reduced order observer and feedback these state variables by using a pole placement design method. But there is a trade-off between the fast command following property and the attenuation of disturbances and vibrations in these design methods. In this paper, the vibration suppression control of a two-mass system using a reference model is proposed. Because of using a reference model, the proposed control satisfy the fast command following property and the attenuation of disturbances and vibrations. Control parameter can be changed to maintain high system performance in control using a reference model. Experimental results show the validity of the proposed state feedback control using a reference model, and this controller is compared with the state feedback controller.
This study aims to verify the sewing technology and the expression of the virtual garment program by comparing the appearance similarity between the real and the virtual power shoulder jacket. To this end, the H and the X silhouettes of the power shoulder jacket were selected as the reference designs. After making the reference designs into real jackets by applying the human body dimensions of women in their twenties, virtual avatars and jackets were produced using CLO 3D programs. The results showed that the H-type with only expanded shoulders and less design variation had a high similarity between the reference photo and real garment, the real and virtual garment, and the reference photo and virtual garment. The power shoulder jacket of the reference picture was well reproduced in the real and virtual garments. Conversely, the X-type jacket, which is a tight fit and has many design variations, showed somewhat low similarity in the circumference items and the basic construction line. Especially in tight-fitted power shoulder jackets, the fact that shoulder angles and the essential items for pattern making cannot be reflected in reproducing virtual models was found to be a limitation in increasing the similarity of virtual clothing. Furthermore, the sewing system gap between the real and the virtual clothing exposed a difference in the appearance of virtual clothing.
Despite the recent growth of interest in molten salt reactor technology and the crucial role which heat transfer plays in the design of power reactors, specific studies on the design of heat exchangers for the Molten Salt Fast Reactor have not yet been performed. In this work we deliver a preliminary but quantitative analysis of the intermediate heat exchangers, based on reference design data from the SAMOFAR H2020-Euratom project. Two different promising reference technologies are selected for study thanks to their compactness features, the Printed Circuit and the Helical Coil heat exchangers. We present preliminary design results for each technology, based on simplified design tools. Results highlight the limiting effects of the compactness constraints imposed on the fuel salt inventory and the allowed size. Large pressure drops on both flow sides are to be expected, with negative consequences on pumping power and natural circulation capabilities. The small size required for the flow channels also represents possible fabrication issues and safety concerns regarding channel blockage.

This paper designs and implements wake up module for WBAN/USN sensor node which is using dynamic reference voltage demodulation circuit. When a comparator is used in a system for detecting received voltage level, comparator must have a reference voltage. However, the reference voltage is fixed, the system can communicate only a few range because received voltage level is changing widely due to distance of the wireless sensor nodes. Therefore, the proposed wake up module employs a dynamic reference voltage demodulation circuit for increasing communication range.
