According to the current increase of the usefulness of information in Internet, several methods are proposed in which multimedia information may be efficiently managed and retrieved. The purpose of this paper is to propose the new grouping method by SRR(Semantic Reference Relation) and DRR(Direct Reference Relation). The important point of this method proposed in this paper is to group MDI(Multimedia Document Informations) as a cluster of this multimedia objects. According to the result of experimental simulation, which has been tested by by the 1,000 multimedia items in internet, this method has made more efficiently the service and grouping of MDI possible than any other methods do in internet.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching methods a n.0, pplied to the basic reference education. Especially, the independent study method in reference education-PSI, AT and PI method used in 1970s at the library schools in the United States was examined in detail. The conclusions and suggestions drawn from this study are as follows : 1) The studies concerned with the teaching method in library and information science education in Korea is very scarce. Studies in this area are needed. 2) In order to improve and innovate the teaching method, instructor' knowledge and understanding of the various teaching methods are essential. The library and information science instructors' efforts should be made in this respect. 3) Instructional materials developed through the research activities concerned with teaching method should be shared among the instructors of the reference education and the device for such sharing should be made.

This paper presents NR (No Reference) Quality assessment method for IPTV or mobile IPTV. Because No Reference quality assessment method does not access the original signal so it is suitable for the real-time streaming service. Our proposed method use decoding parameters, such as quantization parameter, motion vector, and packet loss as a major network parameter. To evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm, we carried out subjective test of video quality with the ITU-T P.910 ACR (Absolute Category Rating) method and obtained the mean opinion score (MOS) value for QVGA 180 video sequence coded by H.264/AVC encoder. Experimental results show the proposed quality metric has a high correlation (84%) to subjective quality.

The purposes of this study are to confirm the applicability of the unobtrusive evaluation to Korean libraries, to develop survey forms, check lists and evaluation criteria appropriate for Korean libraries, to analyze the relationship between the test variables and the performance level, to find out the causes of poor service if any, and to propose measures for improving the quality of reference services. The main results of the analyses are as follows : $\cdot$ The accuracy of answers was correlated to appropriateness of search process, way of providing answer, usage of language, approachability and use of second materials in the order named. That is, there was a strong correlation between accuracy and the variables related to librarian's behavior. $\cdot$ There was no statistically significant relationship between accuracy and the environmental aspects of reference department such as number of professional librarians, self-evaluation of reference collection, etc. $\cdot$ The main reasons for failing to give accurate answers were found to be weaknesses in understanding questions. developing search strategy logically and relating the querries to available information sources.

This study presents a reference model (RM) and the architecture of a cognitive health advisor (CHA) that integrates information with ambient intelligence. By controlling the information using the CHA platform, the reference model can provide various ambient intelligent solutions to a user. Herein, a novel approach to a CHA RM based on evolutional cyber-physical systems is proposed. The objective of the CHA RM is to improve personal health by managing data integration from many devices as well as conduct a new feedback cycle, which includes training and consulting to improve quality of life. The RM can provide an overview of the basis for implementing concrete software architectures. The proposed RM provides a standardized clarification for developers and service designers in the design and implementation process. The CHA RM provides a new approach to developing a digital healthcare model that includes integrated systems, subsystems, and components. New features for chatbots and feedback functions set the position of the conversational interface system to improve human health by integrating information, analytics, and decisions and feedback as an advisor on the CHA platform.

The paper will give an overview of the mission of GalTeC and then concentrate on two main aspects. The first more detailed aspect, is the analysis of the key performance parameters for the Galileo system services and presenting a technical overview of methods and algorithms used. The second more detailed aspect, is the service volume prediction including service dimensioning using the Prediction tool. In order to monitor and validate the Galileo SIS performance for Open Service (OS) and Safety Of Life services (SOL) regarding the key performance parameters, different analyses in the SIS domain and User domain are considered. In the SIS domain, the validation of Signal-in-Space Accuracy SISA and Signal-in-Space Monitoring Accuracy SISMA is performed. For this purpose first of all an independent OD&TS and Integrity determination and processing software is developed to generate the key reference performance parameters named as SISRE (Signal In Space Reference Errors) and related over-bounding statistical information SISRA (Signal In Space Reference Accuracy) based on raw measurements from independent sites (e.g. IGS), Galileo Ground Sensor Stations (GSS) or an own regional monitoring network. Secondly, the differences of orbits and satellite clock corrections between Galileo broadcast ephemeris and the precise reference ephemeris generated by GalTeC will also be compared to check the SIS accuracy. Thirdly, in the user domain, SIS based navigation solution PVT on reference sites using Galileo broadcast ephemeris and the precise ephemeris generated by GalTeC are also used to check key performance parameters. In order to demonstrate the GalTeC performance and the methods mentioned above, the paper presents an initial test result using GPS raw data and GPS broadcast ephemeris. In the tests, some Galileo typical performance parameters are used for GPS system. For example, the maximum URA for one day for one GPS satellite from GPS broadcast ephemeris is used as substitution of SISA to check GPS ephemeris accuracy. Using GalTeC OD&TS and GPS raw data from IGS reference sites, a 10 cm-level of precise orbit determination can be reached. Based on these precise GPS orbits from GalTeC, monitoring and validation of GPS performance can be achieved with a high confidence level. It can be concluded that one of the GalTeC missions is to provide the capability to assess Galileo and general GNSS performance and prediction methods based on a regional and global monitoring networks. Some capability, of which first results are shown in the paper, will be demonstrated further during the planned Galileo IOV phase, the Full Galileo constellation phase and for the different services particularly the Open Services and the Safety Of Life services based on the Galileo Integrity concept.

The periodic inspection of piping and pressure vessels welds in nuclear power plant has to provide reliable result related to weld flaws, such as location, maximum amplitude response, ultrasonic length, height and finally the nature or flaw pattern. The founded flaw in ultrasonic inspection is accepted or rejected based on these data. Specially, the amplitude of flaw response is used as basic parameter for flaw sizing and it may cause some deviation in length sizing result. Currently the ultrasonic inspections in nuclear power plant components are performed by specific inspection procedure which describing inspection technique include inspection system, calibration methodology and flaw characterizing. To perform ultrasonic inspection during in-service inspection, reference gain should be established before starting ultrasonic inspection by the requirement of ASME code. This reference gain used as basic criteria to evaluate flaw sizing. Sometimes, a little difference in establishing reference gain between calibration and field condition can lead to deviation in flaw sizing. Due to this difference, the inspection result may cause flaw sizing error. Therefore, the objective of this study is to compare and evaluate the ultrasonic amplitude difference between air filled and water filled pipe in nuclear power plant. Additionally, the accuracy of flaw sizing is estimated by comparing both conditions.

The disease syndrome characterized by the acute vomiting and diarrhea with high mortality had been greatly epidemic in Kyungbuk West Area since March 1990 and it was followed serologically for the classification of the agent. The agent present in feces of dogs associated with this syndrome had characteristic feature in agglutinating pig red blood cells that was specifically inhibited by anti-CPV reference dog serum. This also showed the serological identity with the reference CPV antigen in Hemagglutinating inhibition test. The result obtained were summarized as follows : 1. During 5 years(March. 1990∼September. 1994), 1,470 dogs were investigated on the actual condition of CPV infections. The Infection rate of CPV from dogs was 62.5% and mortality rate was 59.8%. 2. Among 24 fecal samples collected from the dogs with enteric disease, all showed the hemagglutinating activity to porcine erythrocyte ranging from 40 to 5,120 of HA titers. 3. Among 12 sera samples collected from the dogs with enteric disease, all showed the serological identity with the reference CPV antigen from 5 to 5,120 of HI titers. 4. Bacteriologic examination of fecal specimens resulted in the isolation of pathogeric bacteria such as Staphylococcus sp, Streptococcus sp, Escherichia coli and Bacillus. Cultures for salmonella sp and Clostridium remaind negative. 5. The prevalence and identification of internal parasites were determined by fecal examination using the floatation methods. From 20 fecal samples 12(60.0%) were isolated and their species were Toxacara canis, Toxascaris leonina, and coccidium.

IT related services are available in the shipborne and maritime area. As their service requirements are requested diversely, the safe and reliable embedded system based device needs increase. There are two categories in embedded system : communication/control system and various user interface needed service system. In this paper, we propose the classification of embedded system in the shipborne and maritime area and provide two reference embedded system platforms and their components. One is low-level embedded reference platform of communication/control system and the other is high-level embedded reference platform of user interface oriented system.
