인산을 이용한 법랑 코팅의 초윤활성 및 초기 시간에 대한 연구 (Study on the Superlubricity and Running-in Period of Vitreous Enamel Coating using Phosphoric Acid)

  • Superlubricity refers to the lubrication phenomenon that occurs when the friction coefficient is lower than 0.01. In recent years, this phenomenon has received a significant amount of attention because it can greatly contribute to the reduction of economic and environmental losses caused by friction and wear. In the case of acid lubricants, only ceramic materials can be used for superlubricity, and it takes a long running-in period to enter the superlubricity regime. In this work, we investigated the superlubricity effect of vitreous enamel coating on SUS304. We also examined the running-in period of vitreous enamel coating under phosphoric acid lubricant condition with respect to surface treatments. Drying and polishing methods were used to treat the vitreous enamel coating on the specimen. The friction experimental results revealed that superlubricity could be achieved with vitreous enamel coating. It was also found that the drying and polishing methods can significantly reduce the running-in period and improve the wear properties of vitreous enamel coating. In particular, the polishing method shortened the running-in period by approximately 99% and reduced the wear rate by approximately 99%, compared to nontreated vitreous enamel coating.

  • This paper presents some indirect physical evidences indicating that reduced friction occurs in an economical cryogenic machining process, in which LN2 is applied selectively in well-controlled jets to the localized cutting zone. These evidences include cutting force components, tool wear rate and chip morphology. LN2 reduced the tool wear rate to a great extent and elongated the tool life up to four times compared to emulsion cooling. The friction reduction was further reflected in larger shear angle and less secondary deformation in the chip microstructures. This study also found that the effectiveness of LN2 lubrication depends on the approach how LN2 is applied.

성인 남성용 런닝형 니퍼패턴 개발 (A Study on the Running Type Nipper Pattern Development for Adult men)

  • This research aimed for 20 latter man whose body shape of torso alters remarkably to develop nipper pattern of running type considered characteristic of body shape of 20 latter man to keep rather balanced body shape against middle age when body shape changes extremely. 1. running type nipper pattern design. Pattern of running, lining and nipper were designed by flattening surface shell. A basis line of running pattern is completed by applying reduction ratio after 3 times of modification & complement based on surface shell. Nipper pattern is designed with design line set by a plaster cast based on running pattern line. Lining pattern is designed with lining design line set by a plaster cast based on running type outside material and nipper pattern. 2. Functional evaluation of research and commercial nipper. Functional inspection through dress test was applied 5point evaluation method and the result of functional inspection on the sight of a wearer is that research nipper(running reduction ratio 15%, nipper reduction ratio 18%) averaged more 4.8point but commercial nipper averaged less 1.8point in the aspect of 20 items such as wear sensibility, motional function and external appearance aesthetic. Research running type nipper scored high in order of motional function, looks of side, back, front and whole and wear sensibility. Functional inspection in the point of view of an observer is that research nipper(running reduction ratio 15%, nipper reduction ratio 18%) averaged over 4.8point and commercial nipper averaged under 1.9point in 17 items of external appearance beauty. Research running type nipper marked high in order of looks of back, whole, front and side.

Tribological Behaviour of the Si/SiC and the Si/SiC/Graphite Composites

  • The dense sintered bodies of Si/SiC composite with various Si contents could be fabricated by changing the green density in the forming process. The Si/SiC/graphite composites with various graphite contents could be also fabricated by changing a graphite content in the starting composition. Their mechanical and tribological properties were characterized and wear mechanism was also studided. The hardness and strength of the Si/SiC and the Si/SiC/graphite were decreased with increasing the contents of free Si and graphite, respectively. However, the friction coefficient and specific wear rate had no specific relations to their hardness and strength. Adhesion of free Si was a main factor to determine a wear resistance of the Si/SiC composite. In the case of the Si/SiC/graphite, solid lubricationl and liquid reservoir of the graphite particles played the main role of the reduction of the friction force. In the torque test to estimate the possibility of practical of practical applications, the value of torque between the Al2O3 disk and Si/SiC/graphite disk was 1/6 lower compared with two $Al_2O_3$ disks on the basis of 100,000 cycles.

마이크로 드릴비트 연마 시스템 연삭휠의 마모 진단 연구 (A Study on the Wear Condition Diagnosis of Grinding Wheel in Micro Drill-bit Grinding System)

  • In this study, to diagnose the grinding state of a micro drill bit, a sensor attachment location was selected through random vibration analysis of the grinding unit of the micro drill-bit grinding system. In addition, the vibration data generated during the drill bit grinding were collected from the grinding unit for the grinding wheels under the steady and worn conditions, and data feature extraction and dimension reduction were performed. The wear of the micro-drill-bit grinding wheel was diagnosed by applying KNN, a machine-learning algorithm. The classification model showed excellent performance, with an accuracy of 99.2%. The precision, recall and f1-score were higher than 99% in both the steady and wear conditions.

Performance of Zoysia spp. and Axonopus compressus Turf on Turf-Paver Complex under Simulated Traffic

  • Vehicular traffic on turf results in loss of green cover due to direct tearing of shoots and indirect long-term soil compaction. Protection of turfgrass crowns from wear could increase the ability of turf to recover from heavy traffic. Plastic turfpavers have been installed in trafficked areas to reduce soil compaction and to protect turfgrass crowns from wear. The objectives of this study were to evaluate traffic performance of turfgrasses (Zoysia matrella and Axonopus compressus) and soil mixture (high, medium and low sand mix) combinations on turf-paver complex. The traffic performance of turf and recovery was evaluated based on percent green cover determined by digital image analysis and spectral reflectance responses by NDVI-meter. Bulk density cores indicated significant increase in soil compaction from medium and low sand mixtures compared to high sand mixture. Higher reduction of percent green cover was observed from A. compressus (30-40%) than Z. matrella (10-20%) across soil mixtures. Both turf species displayed higher wear tolerance when established on higher sand (>50% sand) than low sand mixture. Positive turf recovery was also supported by complementary spectral responses. Establishment of Zoysia matrella turf on turfpaver complex using high sand mixture will result in improved wear tolerance.

  • It is reported about the recent developments of powder metallurgy technologies in Japan. In this several years, we cannot make no progress in the amount of powder metallurgy parts production. In order to expand the markets, it is necessary to understand the market needs, and promote technical developments to satisfy the needs which include Cost Reduction, Weight Reduction, High Performance and Environmental Friendliness. The key words of developments to meet these needs are as follows, High Productivity Net-shape High Strength High Machinability High Wear-resistance Low Friction High Magnetic Properties High Heat Properties Light Weight. It is reported some examples corresponding with every key words.

  • 산화억제제로 사용한 이규화 몰리브덴($MoSi_2$)의 함량에 따른 일방향 탄소/탄소 복합재료의 마찰 및 마모 특성에 관하여 대기상태 하에서 정속마찰시험기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과, 탄소/탄소 복합재료는 마찰온도 150~180${\circ}C$에서 급격한 마찰계수의 전이, 즉 normal wear 영역에서의 낮은 마찰계수(${\mu}$=0.15~0.2)에서 dusting wear 영역에서의 높은 마찰계수(${\mu}$=0.5~0.6)로의 전이를 나타내었다. 이렇게 마찰계수가 전이하는 온도범위의 존재는 탄소/탄소 복합재료로 만든 브레이크가 복합재료의 열적 특성에 큰 영향을 받는다는 것을 의미한다. 그리고 산화억제제인 $MoSi_2$를 가지는 탄소/탄소 복합재료는 이를 함유하지 않은 복합재료에 비해 약 1.5배 정도의 낮은 평균마찰계수 및 마모율을 나타내었으며, 특히 4 wt% $MoSi_2$ 함량을 가진 복합재료가 가장 큰 마모활성화 에너지 값을 나타내었다.

알카리용액에서 구름베어링용 세라믹스의 부식이 구름마모 및 경도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Corrosion of Rolling Bearing Ceramics in Alkalic Solution on the Rolling Wear and Hardness)

  • Silicon nitride ceramic has been verified as an excellent rolling bearing material because of its high strength and outstanding rolling fatigue life properties. However under some corrosive circumstances it showed drawbacks such as hardness reduction and severe wear caused by corrosion. In this work, the variations of the rolling wear and hardness of three kinds of ceramics were studied for the specimen aged 15 days in alkali water (90$\pm$2$^{\circ}C$, 25 wt% NaOH). All of the specimens, \circled1Si$_3$N$_4$, \circled23Y-TZP and \circled33Y-TZP alloyed with 5 wt% CeO$_2$, were sintered and post-Hipped, and then polished up to 0.02 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$Ra of surface roughness. Rolling wear tests were conducted by MJ type rolling fatigue life tester under the initial theoretical maximum contact stress or 3.76 Gra and the spindle speed of 1,000 rpm. Spindle oil was used as a lubricant. The specimens were not worn before aging. For the specimen aged in alkali water, Si$_3$N$_4$and 3Y-TZP were worn by rolling wear tests, and hardness was decreased. While aging the specimens, the phase was transformed from tetragonal to monoclinic in 3Y-TZP and the microstructure change occurred in Si$_3$N$_4$. 3Y-TZP alloyed with 5 wt% CeO$_2$specimens were not worn after aging and no phase transformation occurred while aging.
