소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용자에서 평상시 나타난 증상에 관한 연구 (The Relationship between Habitual Patient-Reported Symptoms and Signs in the Soft Contact Lens Wearers)

  • 목적: 한국인 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용자에서 나타나는 증상을 이해하고 증상과 눈물검사값과의 상관성을 조사하고자 하였다. 방법: 안과적 질환이 없고 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용기간이 18.60${\pm}$16.92개월인 착용자 62명(남: 20명, 여: 42명, 평균연령은 23.95${\pm}$4.38세)을 대상으로 설문지 검사 및 3 종류의 눈물검사를 시행하고, 자각적 증상과 타각적 증상을 조사하여 상관성을 분석하였다. 결과: 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용 중 나타난 자각적 증상의 빈도와 정도는 건조감, 충혈, 피곤함의 순으로 나타났다. 증상의 빈도는 건조감은 모래가 들어간 느낌과, 충혈은 열감과, 피곤함은 이물감과 상관성이 높았고, 증상의 정도는 눈부심은 시력변동과, 이물감은 모래가 들어간 느낌의 상관성이 높았으며 이러한 증상은 McMonnies' 설문검사값과 상관성이 있었다. 타각적 증상으로 결막충혈과 윤부충혈은 병적인 수준은 아니지만 주된 증상으로 나타났고 각결막염색은 발생빈도는 낮지만 눈물막파괴시간이 짧을수록 통계적으로 유의하게 발생빈도가 증가하였다. 결론: 한국인 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용자의 경우 건조감, 충혈 및 피곤함을 많이 느끼고 이러한 증상은 서로 상관성을 갖고 있으며 콘택트렌즈 착용기간과 상관성이 있으나 자각적 증상과 타각적 증상의 발생은 상관성이 없는 것으로 사료된다.

스킨헬스케어를 위한 증류 죽초액 함유 천연화장품의 여드름 피부 임상 적용 연구 (A Clinical Research of Acne Skin through Natural Cosmetics with Distilled Bamboo Vinegar Contents for Skin Health Care)

  • 본 연구는 천연물질인 증류 죽초액이 함유된 천연화장품의 여드름 피부 개선에 대한 효과성을 검증하여 여드름 화장품 소재 개발을 목적으로 하였다. 연구의 대상 10대 남·여 20명을 선정하여 난수표방식에 따라 10명은 천연화장품(폼 클렌징, 토너, 팩)을 사용한 대조군으로 10명은 증류 죽초액이 함유된 천연화장품(폼 클렌징, 토너, 팩) 사용한 실험군으로 배정하였다. 화장품 사용 기간은 12주로 하였고, Mark-·Vu 피부 측정기를 사용하여 사전, 6주 후, 12주 후 피부의 피지, 모공 크기, 붉은기를 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS v. 21.0 통계 패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 천연화장품의 피부 안정성 확인을 위한 인체첩포시험 결과 피부에 안전한 제품으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 대조군과 실험군의 피지, 모공 크기, 붉은기에 대한 동질성 검증 결과 동질성이 확보되었다. 셋째, 증류 죽초액이 함유된 천연화장품의 여드름 피부 개선 효과 검증에서 실험군이 대조군에 비해 이마와 오른 볼 부위의 피지, 모공 크기, 붉은기 변화의 감소율이 더 크게 나타났다. 이에 증류 죽초액이 함유된 천연화장품은 피부에 안전하며, 여드름 피부에서 피부의 피지 감소와 모공 크기 및 붉은기 감소에 효과적인 것으로 확인됨에 따라 화장품 산업에서 증류 죽초액 활용을 기대하는 바이다.

난소화성 전분을 첨가한 딸기잼의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Strawberry Jam Added with Various Levels of Resistant Starch)

  • Physicochemical and sensory characteristics of the jam with various levels of resistant starch were investigated in this study. Water content of RS20(20% resistant starch) jam had significantly the highest value of all(p<0.05) and RS5 showed significantly the highest value in sweetness. The value of pH were increased with increasing levels of the resistant starch in jam preparation. The Hunter L and a values of RS20 had the highest value among all groups. The hardness of jam was increased as the contents of the resistant starch was increased. Results of sensory characteristics of RS20 showed significantly higher values in strawberry aroma, sweetness, after taste and chalky and showed significantly lower values in strawberry flavor, spreadability, redness and glossiness than those in the other sample groups at p<0.05. Strawberry flavor, spreadability, redness and glossiness of RS5 had the largest values at the significant level(p<0.05).

염색약으로 유발된 접촉성 피부염의 한방 치험 1례 (A Case of Dye-induced Contact Dermatitis Treated with Korean Medicine)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the case improved through Korean Medicine Including Herbal Medicine with Astragali radix, Rehmannia glutinosa as main ingredients, Acupuncture and External Preparation on the treatment of contact dermatitis. Methods : A patient with contact dermatitis was diagnosed through Korean Medicine and treated with Herbal Medicine with Astragali radix, Rehmannia glutinosa as main ingredients, Acupuncture and External preparation. The Degree of itching was assessed with Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and the severity of wheals and redness on lesion site was assessed through photography. Results : VAS decreased from 9 to 1 and wheals and redness on lesion site was disappeared. Conclusions : According to the result, These findings suggest that Korean Medicine can be effective for the treatment of contact dermatitis.

Effect of Chemical Passivation Treatment and Flow on the Corrosion of 304 Stainless Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Solution

  • Effects of passive film quality by chemical passivation and solution flow on the corrosion behavior of 304 stainless steel in HCl solution were investigated using a coloration indicator, and by corrosion weight loss, electrochemical polarization and element dissolution measurements. A high redness degree suggests a low passive-film integrity for 304 stainless steel following air exposure, while the minimum redness degree for the samples after chemical passivation suggests a high passive-film integrity. In the static condition, samples subjected to air exposure exhibited a high corrosion rate and preferential dissolution of Fe. Chemical passivation inhibited the corrosion rate due to the intrinsically high structural integrity of the passive film and high concentrations of Cr-rich oxides and hydroxide. Solution flow accelerated corrosion by promoting both the anodic dissolution reaction and the cathodic reaction. Solution flow also altered the preferential dissolution to fast uniform dissolution of metal elements.

탕수육 배터의 물리적 특성 및 최적화 (Physical Properties and Optimization of Tangsuyuk Batter Ingredients)

  • Physical properties were investigated in tangsuyuk batter containing different amounts of ingredients, such as wheat flour, corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, alum and water. For the response surface methodology (RSM) central composite design was used to determine the optimal ingredient ratios for viscosity, color properties(lightness, redness, yellowness, color differences) and cutting forces. There were significant differences(p<0.05) between the different batter mixtures. The lightness(L) of batter was in proportion to the increased amount of wheat flour and corn starch. Higher redness was recorded with increasing corn starch. Higher yellowness was observed with increasing wheat flour and sodium bicarbonate. Color differences were higher with increasing wheat flour, corn starch, and/or alum and decreasing water. Cutting forces were linearly increased with increasing sodium bicarbonate. From these results, it is possible to monitor the effects of ingredients on physical properties of tangsuyuk batter, and to predict their optimal ratios.

벌독으로 인한 혈청병 양상의 두드러기 및 맥관부종 치험 1례 (A Case of Urticaria and Angioedema Caused from Serum Sickness Reaction by Bee Venom)

  • Objective : This study was performed to prove the effect of the oriental medical treatments on urticaria and angioedema caused from serum sickness reaction by bee venom. Method : We treated one case of urticaria and angioedema with oriental medical treatments such as 8 constitution acupuncture, herbal medicine, venesection therapy and facial pack therapy. We took pictures through the treatment to evaluate the improvement. Six items, itching, burning sensation, pain, wheal, redness, edema were used to diagnose urticaria and angioedema. Result & Conclusion : After treatments the urticaria and angioedema were improved. The symptom of itching, heating, pain, wheal, redness of whole body and facial edema disappeared.

랜드레이스와 재래돼지육의 이화학적 특성 (Physicochemical Characteristics of Longissimus Muscle between the Korean Native Pig and Landrace)

  • Comparisons in physicochemical characteristics of longissimus muscle between the Korean native pig(KNP: 75kg of slaughter weight and 240 days of age) versus Landrace(110kg of slaughter weight and 180 days of age) are as below. Compared with Landrace, KNP had a greater drip loss resulting from a lower muscle pH and water holding capacity, greater L*(lightness), a*(redness) and b*(yellowness) values in muscle color, and a greater L* value and smaller a* and b* values in attached backfat color. Tenderness were greater in the Korean native pig. Moreover, KNP had a greater number of muscle fibers and a smaller diameter of the fiber when examined by scanning electron microscopy. In sum, the Korean native pig, compared with Landrace, had a greater redness in meat color, a greater whiteness in fat color; the lower WHC and greater tenderness of the former apparently resulted from the lower slaughter weight rather than from a species difference.

흑미를 첨가한 인절미의 품질 특성에 관한 연구 (Quality Properties of Injulmi made with Black Rice)

  • Injulmi, a kind of traditional Korean sticky rice cakes, was prepared with the mixed flours of waxy and black rices in different ratio(0% to 25% black rice flour), and their quality properties were studied. In the sensory evaluation, the best acceptance was shown in the samples with 15% black rice flour. The scores for hardness, coarseness. chewiness, and flavor were increased as the added amount of black rice flour increased. The moisture content of the samples ranged from 43 to 45%, and it was increased as the added amount of black rice flour increased. In color value, lightness(L value) was 27.43∼65.63. The redness(a value) was -2.01∼4.74, and the yellowness(b value) was -1.40∼4.59. The redness and blueness were increased by the increase of black rice flour. In the texture properties, the increase of added black rice flour increased the hardness, chewiness, and gumminess of Injulml, but decreased the adhesiveness. Based on the results, the optimal recipe for Injulmi added black rice flour was to make with 85% waxy rice flour ant 15% black rice flour.
