  • 건축물에서의 3D 프린팅은 구조재 및 비구조재로의 적용으로 구분되며, 비구조재는 내 외장 패널이나 조형물로의 적용 등이 주를 이룬다. 연속적으로 적층하여 제조하는 3D 프린팅 방식은 시멘트 모르타르의 경화속도나 특성을 개질하며 이를 위한 재료의 혼입과 경화속도나 시공성, 접착성의 개선을 위한 시멘트 혼화용 폴리머의 사용이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 적층방식 3D 프린팅 적용을 위해 시멘트, 플라이애시, EVA 및 EVCL 분말수지의 혼입률을 달리하여 고온에서의 특성을 검토하였고 혼입에 따른 유효성 여부를 확인하였다. 실험결과, EVA 및 EVCL 분말수지에 혼입에 따라 시멘트 모르타르는 연행된 공기에 의해 특성이 개질되었고 EVA보다는 EVCL을 혼입한 시험체가 고온에서 유리하였다.

  • This paper discusses the strength properties of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powders, which is widely used for the manufacture of prepackaged-type polymer-modified mortar products at present. The polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powders are prepared with various polymer-cement ratios, and tested for air content, flexural and compressive strengths, and tensile strength. The strength properties are almost the same as those of polymer dispersion-modified mortars, depending on the polymer-cement ratios, and are improved over unmodified mortar. In particular, between tensile strength and glass transition point of polymer powder have a high correlation. It is concluded from the test results that polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powders can be used in the same manner as ordinary polymer dispersion-modified mortars.

  • Admixture compounds for reducing setting time and accelerating early strength development of redispersible polymer powder-modified mortars were made by mixing various inorganic accelerating inorganic materials. Redispersible polymer powder-modified mortars are prepared with various accelerator contents, and it was tested for setting time, flexural and compressive strengths. As a result, the accelerators contribute to strength development of the mortars in the early curing age of 12h or less. In the viewpoint of early strength development of redispersible polymer powder-modified mortars, an accelerator content of $20\%$ is recommended.

  • Drying shrinkage and strength of the redispersible SBR and PAE powder-modified mortars were experimentally investigated. Results of the study that the drying shrinkage rapidly increased until 7 days of age and it was then saturated to the value of about $1\~2\times10^{4}$ after 14 days. It turned out that the polymer-cement ratio exerted more influence on the drying shrinkage than the content of powder shrinkage-reducing agent did. Flexural (compressive) strength of the mortar increased (decreased) as the polymer-cement ratio increased and it was 7$\~$11 (23$\~$39) MPa at 7 days of age. The average (maximum) increasing (decreasing) rate turned out to be about 10 (30) $\%$. As in the drying shrinkage case, the polymer-cement ratio exerted more influence on both flexural and compressive strengths than the content of powder shrinkage agent did.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the fundamental properties of fine type cement grouts with redispersible polymer powders. Cement grouts with redispersible polymer powders are prepared with various polymer-cement ratios, and tested. for flow, water absorption, drying shrinkage, flexural and compressive strengths. From the test results, flow of the cement grouts with EVA and Va/VeoVa polymer powers decreased with increasing elapsed time. Regardless of polymer type, the flexural strength of the cement grouts tends to increase with increase in polymer-cement ratio. The maximum compressive strengths of the cement grouts are obtained at a polymer-cement ratio of $5\%$.

  • Durability of the polymer-modified mortars using the redispersible SBR and PAE powder-modified mortars were experimentally investigated. Results of a previous study were used to determine the mix proportion that optimized the strength, and the freezing-thawing resistence, the carbonation depth and the chloride intrusion depth of the mortar for various polymer-cement ratios were studied. After 300 freezing-thawing cycles, the rate of weight reduction decreased from 7 to below 2 $\%$ as the polymer-cement ratios increased from 0 to 15 $\%$, and, on the 150 cycle basis, durability index increased from 60 to 98. Carbonation depth decreased from initial value of 5.5 to about 2.5 mm and chloride intrusion depth did from 3.5 to 1.5 mm

  • The building industry must aim at high-durability and sustainability. A holistic life cycle based approach is recommended to reduce the environmental load. In recent years, technical innovations in the construction industry have advanced to a great extent, and caused the active research and development of high-performance and multifunctional construction materials. Nowadays, various polymer powders have been commercialized to manufacture construction materials in the form of prepackaged-type products, which have rapidly been developed for lack of skilled workmen in construction sites. Recently, terpolymer powders of improved quality have been developed and commercialized as cement modifiers. And, hydrocalumite is a material that can adsorb the chloride ions (Cl-) causing the corrosion of reinforcing bars and liberate the nitrite ions (NO2-) inhibiting the corrosion in reinforced concrete, and can provide a self-corrosion inhibition function to the reinforced concrete. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the self-corrosion inhibition function of polymer-modified mortars using redispersible powders with hydrocalumite. Polymer-modified mortars using VA/E/MMA and VAE redispersible powders are prepared with various calumite contents and polymer-binder ratios, and tested for chloride ion penetration depth, corrosion inhibition. As a result, regardless of the polymer-binder ratio, the replacement of ordinary portland cement with hydrocalumite has a marked effect on the corrosion-inhibiting property of the polymer-modified mortars. Anti-corrosion effect of polymer-modified mortars using VA/E/MMA terpolymer powder with hydrocalumite is higher than that of VAE copolymer powder.

  • 3D 프린팅의 기술발전으로 대형물 제작이 가능하게 되면서 이를 건축물에 적용하기 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 건축물에서는 구조재와 비구조재로 구분되고 비구조재는 비정형 구조물 및 내·외장패널에 적용하기 유리하다. 3D 프린팅 재료는 기본적으로 시멘트 모르타르의 압출과 적층이 가능해야하므로 시멘트 혼화용 폴리머 와 경량재료의 사용이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 3D 프린팅 적용을 위해 시멘트 모르타르에 EVA 재유화형 분말수지를 사용하였다. 경량재료 혼입 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 난연특성을 평가하기 위해 골재로는 규사8호와 경량재료로 경량골재, 중공글라스를 사용하여 난연 및 불연성능을 평가하였다. 연구결과, 규사8호 및 경량골재를 사용한 시험체가 충분한 난연 및 불연성능을 보였다. EVA 재유화형 분말수지를 혼입할 경우 5% 이하로 적용하여 사용하는 것이 유리하다.

  • This study is to investigate the watertightness properties of waterproofing admixture mixed redispersible polymer and siliceous powder. Series I deals with change in micro-structure of mortar by waterproofing admixture according to the water/cement ratios of 0.5, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 Crystal growth in micro-structure was observed through SEM to estimate on the watertightness effect of it. SeriesII deals with watertightness properties of waterproofing admixture on water permeability coefficient, crack restoration capacity and carbonation depth. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) Fluidity of mortar and concrete was increased by adding waterproofing admixture. 2) From observation through SEM. Crystals grew larger and denser in micro-structure as fiberic crystalization. 3) Waterproofing admixture is good watertightness properties in a level of high water/cement ratios and long limit of time. 4) Crack restoration capacity was appeared and durability was progressed by waterproofing admixture.

투수성 콘크리트의 강도개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvements of Strengths of Water-Permeable Concrete)

  • The purpose of this study is to ascertain the strength properties of water-permeable concrete with redispersible polymer powder, silica fume and polypropylene fibers. The water-permeable concrete using rediapersibel polymer powder with a water-cement ratio of 25%, polymer-cement ratios of 0 to 10%, silica fume contents of 0 to 10% and fiber contents of 0 to 1.5% are prepared, and tested for flexural strength, compressive strength and water permeability. From the test results, improvements in the strength properties of the water-permeable concrete due to the addition of the redispersible polymer powder, silica fume and fibers are discussed. It is concluded from the test results that the superior flexural and compressive strengths of water-permeable concretes are obtained at a propylene fiber content of 1.0% with a void filling ratio of 50%. And, the water-permeable concrete having a flexural strength of 15.6~28.4kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, a compressive strength of 63.5~120.6kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and a coefficient of permeability of 1.14~1.70cm/s at a void filling ratio of 30% can be prepared. Also water-permeable concrete having a flexural strength of 35.6~57.9kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, a compressive strength of 164.0~290.0kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and a coefficient of permeability of 0.19~1.04cm/s at a void filling ratio of 50% can be prepared in the consideration of the mix proprotioning factors.
