적색 비닐멀칭과 흑색 비닐멀칭의 반사광 특성과 참외와 토마토의 품질과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Characteristics of Reflective Light over Red and Black Plastic Mulch, and Effect on the Quality and Yield of the Oriental Melon and Tomato)

  • 우리나라에서 주로 사용되고 있는 흑색 비닐멀칭과 신개발된 적색 비닐멀칭의 표면 반사광 특성을 분석하고 참외와 토마토에 대한 영향을 구명하여 작물생산에 대한 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 적색 비닐멀칭의 표면에서 반사된 적색광과 초적색광의 일일 누적 강도는 흑색 비닐멀칭보다 2.6배 강했다. 적색광과 초적색광 반사광의 강도는 적색 비닐멀칭의 표면 높이 30 cm에서 가장 강하였다. 일중 태양광 강도가 강한 오후 1시 20분의 흑색 비닐멀칭의 Red/F-Red는 1.14, 적색 비닐멀칭은 0.93, 태양광은 1.16으로 적색 비닐멀칭이 흑색 비닐멀칭보다 초적색광 강도가 높았다. 적색 비닐멀칭의 Red/F-Red는 표면 높이 30 cm에서 가장 낮았으며 표면높이가 높아질수록 초적색광 강도가 감소하여 Red/F-Red는 증가하였다. 적색 비닐멀칭 반사광의 Red/F-Red는 정오부터 오후 4시경까지는 흑색 비닐멀칭보다 낮게 경과하였다. 흑색 비닐멀칭 처리구보다 적색 비닐멀칭 처리구의 참외 과실의 무게가 증가하여 수량이 증가하였고 당도가 높았다. 토마토의 과실 무게와 당도도 적색 비닐멀칭 처리가 흑색 비닐멀칭 처리구보다 높았다. 지중온도는 적색 비닐멀칭 처리가 흑색 비닐멀칭 처리보다 다소 낮은 경향이었다. 따라서 적색 비닐멀칭으로 토양을 피복하면 작물생산에 적색광과 초적색광을 더 많이 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 고추의 Polyethylene Film house 재배시에 피복 재료로서 White, Blue, Green 및 Red Color의 Film을 사용하여 광질에 따른 실험을 행한 바 있다. White와 Red Film의 처리시에 Chlorophyll, Carotenoid, 및 Capsaicin 함량을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 총(總) Chlorophyll의 함량은 White구가 $208.9{\mu}g/g$-F.W., Red구가 $153.0{\mu}g/g$-F.W.으로서 White구에서 그 함량이 현저히 높았으며, Chlorophyll a,b의 비는 White, Red구가 각각 2.15, 2.13으로 비슷하였다. 2. 총(總) Carotenoid는 Red구가 White구의 3.4배에 달하였으며, 특히 $\beta$-carotene은 Red, White구가 각각 $490.6{\mu}g%,\;75.5{\mu}g%$로서 Red구에서 현저히 많았다. 3. Capsaicin의 함량은 Red구가 White구보다 약 20%정도 높았다.

밭작물 소비수량에 관한 기초적 연구(III)-고추 및 가을 무우- (Basic Studies on the Consumptive Use of Water Required for Dry Field Crops (3) -Red Pepper and Radish-)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the basic data for irrigation plans of red pepper and radish during the growing period, such as total amount of evapotranspiration, coefficent of evapotranspiration at each growth stage, the peak stage of evapotranspiration, the maximum ten day evapotranspiration , optimum irrigation point, total readily available moisture and intervals of irrigation date. The plots of experiment were arranged with split plot design which were composed of two factors, irrigation point for main plot and soil texture for split plot, and three levels ; irrigation point with pH1.7-2.0, pF2.1-2.4 and pF2.5-2.8, at soil texture of sandy soil, sandy loam and silty clay for both red pepper and radish, with two replications. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1.1/10 exceedance probability values of maximum total pan evaporation during growing period for red peppr and radish were shown as 663.6 mm and 251.8 mm. respectively, and those of maximum ten day pan evaporation for red pepper and radish, 67.1 mm and 46.9 mm, respectively. 2.The time that annual maximum of ten day pan evaporation can he occurred, exists at any stage between the middle of May and the late of August for red pepper, and at any stage between the late of August and the late September for radish. 3.The magnitude of evapotranspiration and its coefficient for red pepper was occurred large in order of pF1.7-2.0 pF2.1-2.4 and pF2.5~2.8 in aspect of irrigation point and the difference in the magnitude of evapotranspiration and of its coefficient between levels of irrigation point was difficult to be found out due to the relative increase in water consumption resulted from large flourishing growth at the irrigation point in lower water content for radish. In aspect of soil texture they were appeared large in order of sandy loam, silty clay and sandy soil for both red pepper and radish. 4.The magnitude of leaf area index was shown large in order of pF2.1-2.4, pF2.5-2.8, and pFl.7-2.0, for red pepper and of pF2.5-2.8, pF2.1-2.4, pFl.7-2.0 for radish in aspect of irrigation point, and large in order of sandy loam, silty clay, sandy soil for both red pepper and radish in aspect of soil texture 5.1/10 exceedance probability value of evapotranspiration and its coefficient during the growing period for red pepper were shown as 683.5 mm and 1.03, respectively, while those of radish, 250.3 mm and 0, 99. respectively. 6.The time that the maximum evapotranspiration of red pepper can be occurred is in the middle of August around the date of ninetieth to hundredth after transplanting, and the time for radish is presumed to be in the late of September, around the date of thirtieth to fourtieth after sowing. At that time, 1/10 exceedance probability value of ten day evapotranspiration and its coefficient for red pepper is assumed to be 81.8 mm and 1.22, respectively, while those of radish, 49, 7 mm and 1, 06, respectively. 7.Optimum irrigation point for red pepper on the basis of the yield of raw matter is assumed to be pFl.7-2.0 for sandy soil, pF2.5-2.8 for sandy loam, and pF2.1-2.4 for silty clay. while that for radish is appeared to be pF2.5-2.8 in any soil texture used. 8.The soil moisture extraction patterns of red pepper and radish have shown that maximum extraction rates exist at 7 cm deep layer at the beginning stage of growth in any soil texture and that extraction rates of 21 cm to 35 cm deep layer are increased as getting closer to the late stage of growth. And especially the extraction rates have shown tendency to be greatest at 21cm deep layer from the most flourishing stage of growth for red pepper and at the last stage of growth for radish. 9.The total readily available moisture on the basic of the optimum irrigation point become 3.77-8.66 mm for sandy soil, 28.39-34.67 mm for sandy loam and 18.40-25.70 mm for silty clay for red pepper of each soil texture used but that of radish that has shown the optimum irrigation point of pF2.5-2.8 in any soil texture used. 12.49-15.27 mm for sandy soil, 23.03-28.13 mm for sandy loam, and 22.56~27.57 mm for silty clay. 10.On the basis of each optimum irrigation point. the intervals of irrigation date at the growth stage of maximum consumptive use of red pepper become l.4 days for sandy soil, 3.8 days for sandy loam and 2.6 days for silty clay, while those of radish, about 7.2 days.

Changes in the Contents of Prosapogenin in the Red Ginseng (Panax ginseng) Depending on Steaming Batches

  • This study compared the contents of ginsenosides depending on steaming conditions of red ginsengs to provide basic information for developing functional foods using red ginsengs. The red ginseng steamed eight times at $98^{\circ}C$ ranked atop the amounts of prosapogenins ever detected in red ginsengs (ginsenoside $Rg_2$, $Rg_3$, $Rg_5$, $Rg_6$, $Rh_1$, $Rh_4$, $Rk_1$, $Rk_3$, $F_1$, $F_4$, 1.15%) among red ginsengs steamed more than twice. When steamed eight times at $98^{\circ}C$, 2.7 times as much prosapogenins such as ginsenosides $Rg_2$, $Rg_3$, $Rg_5$, $Rg_6$, $Rh_1$, $Rh_4$, $Rk_1$, $Rk_3$, $F_1$, and $F_4$ as those steamed just once at $98^{\circ}C$ was collected. In addition, the red ginsengs steamed eight times at $98^{\circ}C$ contained more amounting ginsenoside $Rg_3$ (0.28%) than that in the red ginseng steamed several times at random. Accordingly, it is recommendable that red ginsengs steamed 8 times, which proved to be the optimal steaming condition, be used rather than those steamed 9 times (black ginsengs), in order to develop red ginseng products of high prosapogenin concentration and high functions.

아로마 목·어깨 마사지와 Red LED 조사가 목 피부 미세혈류에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aroma Neck and Shoulder Massage and Red LED irradiation on cutaneous microcirculation in the neck area)

  • 이 연구는 아로마 목·어깨 마사지와 Red LED 조사가 목 부위 피부 미세혈류에 미치는 영향을 조사했다. 본 연구에서는 20~60세 범위의 여성 30명을 대상으로 무작위로 분배하여 세 개의 실험그룹으로 나누었다. A 그룹 (n=10)은 아로마 목·어깨 마사지 후 Red LED 조사를 받았고 B 그룹 (n=10)은 아로마 목·어깨 마사지 후 15분 동안 휴식을 취했다. C 그룹 (n=10)은 Red LED 조사만을 받았다. 실험 결과, A 그룹과 B 그룹은 시간 요인에 대한 결과에서 목 부위 피부 미세혈류 시점 간의 주 효과가 유의함을 나타냈다 (F = 29.883, p < 0.001, 𝜂2 = 0.624). 그룹 요인에 대한 통계 분석 결과 그룹 간의 주효과가 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났으며 (F = 0.202, p = 0.659, 𝜂2 = 0.011), 또한 그룹과 시간의 상호 작용이 유의했다 (F = 8.452, p = 0.001, 𝜂2 =0.320). C 그룹은 실험 후 목 부위 피부 미세혈류에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다 (p > 0.05, Cohen's d = 0.202). 결론적으로, Red LED 처리가 목 피부 미세혈류를 개선하는 데에는 제한적인 효과를 나타내며 A 그룹과 B 그룹의 결과와 대조되며, 특히 A 그룹에서의 아로마 목·어깨 마사지와 Red LED 조합 처리의 효과는 유의하지 않았음을 보다 명확하게 보여준다.

  • Effects of additionof $NH_4Cl$, NaBr and LiF on the formation of Zircon and the synthesis of CdS-Se red stain were investigated by means of XRD, DTA and the color standard and color nomenclature. The red stain of CdS-Se system shows a little difference dependent on firing temperature on firing conditon. Consequently it forms a good soid-solution with red color under the ratio of CdS and Se 3.5 -4.1 at 58$0^{\circ}C$. But it changes to dark red as increasing Se. LiF is the most effective in mineralizer to preparae zircon with the equilbrant molar $SiO_2$ and ZrO Zircon makes a good preparation in 0.33 mole LiF from 90$0^{\circ}C$.

The effects of LEDs and duty ratio on the growth and physiological responses of Silene capitata Kom., endangered plant, in a plant factory

  • Background: In this study, we observed their growth and physiological responses using a variety of duty ratio under the mixed light using red, blue, and white lights. The red+blue mixed light was treated with 95%, 90%, 85%, 80%, and 75% duty ratios and red+blue+white mixed light with 85% and 70% duty ratios. We examined the width and length of leaves, total number of leaves, and number of shoots to examine their growth responses. The physiological responses were studied by measuring their photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, water use efficiency, chlorophyll content, and fluorescence ($F_o$, $F_m$, and $F_v/F_m$). Results: We found that lower duty ratio caused the length and width of the leaves to grow longer under red+blue mixed light but that it did not cause any difference in the red+blue+white mixed light condition. In addition, there was no difference in the number of leaves and shoots among all treatments. In the red+blue mixed light condition, the photosynthetic rate was no difference, but both transpiration rate and stomatal conductance were the highest at 95% duty ratio than in other ratios. Water use efficiency pattern was similar to that of photosynthetic rate; water use efficiency was no difference. Chlorophyll content was the highest at 95% duty ratios, and it was the least at 90%, 85%, and 75% duty ratio. $F_o$ and $F_m$ values were relatively high at 85% and 80% duty ratio and low at 90% duty ratio while $F_v/F_m$ showed no difference. Conclusions: Under the red+blue+white mixed light, all physiological items showed no difference between 70 and 85% treatments. But, photosynthetic rate, water use efficiency, chlorophyll content, and $F_v/F_m$ were relatively greater in the red+blue+white mixed light than in the red+blue mixed light. Therefore, red+blue+white mixed light treated with 70% duty ratio could lessen the environmental stress and save more power when cultivating Silene capitata in a plant factory.

The Bioconversion of Red Ginseng Ethanol Extract into Compound K by Saccharomyces cerevisiae HJ-014

  • A ${\beta}$-glucosidase producing yeast strain was isolated from Korean traditional rice wine. Based on the sequence of the YCL008c gene and analysis of the fatty acid composition, the isolate was identified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain HJ-014. S. cerevisiae HJ-014 produced ginsenoside Rd, $F_2$, and compound K from the ethanol extract of red ginseng. The production was increased by shaking culture, where the bioconversion efficiency was increased 2-fold compared to standing culture. The production of ginsenoside $F_2$ and compound K was time-dependent and thought to proceed by the transformation pathway of: red ginseng extract ${\rightarrow}Rd{\rightarrow}F_2{\rightarrow}$ compound K. The optimum incubation time and concentration of red ginseng extract for the production of compound K was 96 hr and 4.5% (w/v), respectively.

신미종(辛味種) 고추의 주요(主要) 성분(成分)의 함량(含量)에 미치는 광질(光質) (Red, Blue)의 영향(影響) (Effect of Light Quality (Red, Blue) on the Major Components of Hot Pepper Fruit)

  • 신미종(辛味種) 고추인 가락금장 2호를 공시(共試) 품종(品種)으로 하여 추숙(追熟) 시(時)에 red 광(光)을 처리(處理)하여 white 광(光)에 대(對)한 적변(赤變) 효과와 주요(主要) 성분(成分)에 미치는 광질(光質)의 영향(影響)을 조사(調査)하였다. 추숙용(追熟用) 녹숙(綠熟) 고추는 개화(開花) $30{\sim}35$일(日) 정도의 것을 사용(使用)하였고, 이때 실험(實驗)은 $25^{\circ}C$ 항온(恒溫)에서 행(行)하였으며, 약(約) $40\;{\mu}watt/cm^2{\cdot}sec$에너지 수준의 광(光) 처리(處理)를 1일(日) 12시간(時間) 하였다. 광(光) 처리(處理)에 의(依)한 chlorophyll의 감소(減少) 현상(現狀)은 blue 광하(光下)에서 뚜렷하였고, red 광구(光區)는 white 광구(光區)와 차이(差異)가 없었으며, chlorophyll a와 b도 blue 광(光)에 의한 total chlorophyll의 감소(減少) 현상(現狀)과 동일(同一)한 경향을 나타내었다. Total carotenoid는 blue 광(光) 처리구(處理區)에서 생성(生成)이 촉진되었고 (약(約) 31%), 착색도(着色度)(color score)와 chlorophyll의 영향(影響)과는 달리 대조구(對照區)인 white 광구(光區)에 비(比)하여 red 광(光) 처리구(處理區)에서 함량(含量)이 적었다. 그러나 ${\beta}-carotene$은 red 광(光)의 효과는 없었고, blue 광구(光區)에서 0.71 mg%-f.w.로 white 구(區)의 0.56 mg%-f.w.에 비(比)하여 많았다. 따라서 추숙(追熟) 시(時) 착색(着色) 효과는 blue 광하(光下)에서 현저하게 나타났다. 신미(辛味) 성분(成分)(capsaicin) 역시 red 광(光)의 효과를 인정(認定)할 수 없었고 다만 blue 광하(光下)에서 다소 많았다.

  • 화본과(禾本科) 및 두과사료작물(荳科飼料作物)의 단파(單播)와 혼파(混播)에서 중질소(重窒素)를 시용(施用)하여 시비질소(施肥窒素)의 작물별(作物別) 건물수량(乾物收量), 총질소함량(總窒素含量), 비료유내질소율(肥料由來窒素率), 토양중(土壤中) 유효질소량 등을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 건물수량(乾物收量)에 대(對)한 질소시비효과는 orchardgrass에서만 높이 인정(認定)되었고 alfalfa와 birdsfoot treoil은 혼파(混播)의 경우 초기(初期)에만 인정(認定)되었다. 2. 건물수량(乾物收量)은 단파(單播)에서는 alfalfa>red clover>orchardgrass>birdsfoot trefoli의 순(順)이었고 혼파(混播)에서는 orchardgrass + alfalfa> orchardgrass + red clover> orchardgrass+birdsfoot trefoil순(順)으로 나타났다. 3. 비료유내질소율(肥料由來窒素率)는 단파(單播)에서 orchardgrass가 두과(荳科)보다 높았으나 혼파(混播)한 경우는 전구(全區) 공(共)히 두과(荳科)가 orchargrass보다 높아서 orchardgrass가 두과(荳科)로부터 시비질소(施肥窒素)보다 토양질소(土壤窒素)를 공급(供給)받는 것으로 보였다. 또한 비료유내질소율(肥料由來窒素率)은 단파시(單播時) 모든 작물(作物)에서 후기(後期)로 갈수록 작아졌으며 혼파시(混播時) orchardgrass에는 일정한 경향(傾向)이 없었다. 4. 토양중(土壤中) 유효질소량은 단파시(單播時) alfalfa>red clover> orchardgrass> birdsfoot trefoil 순(順)이었으며 혼파시(混播時)는 orchardgrass+alfalfa(3 : 7) > orchardgrass + red clover (3 : 7) > orchardgrass + alfalfa(5 : 5) > orchardgrass + birdsfoot trefoil(5 : 5) > orchardgrass + red clover (5 : 5) > orchardgrass + bidsfoot trefoil(3 : 7)의 순(順)이었다.
