대차 관성측정 장치에서 궤도틀림 추정을 위한 반복 최소자승법의 적용 (Application of Recursive Least Squares Method to Estimate Rail Irregularities from an Inertial Measurement Unit on a Bogie)

  • This paper is focused on application of recursive least squares method to estimate rail irregularities from the acceleration measurement on an axle-box or a bogie for the rail condition monitoring with in-service high-speed trains. Generally, the rail condition was monitored by a special railway inspection vehicle but the monitoring method needs an expensive measurement system. A monitoring method using accelerometers on an axle-box or a bogie was already proposed in the previous study, and the displacement was successfully estimated from the acceleration data by using Kalman and frequency selective band-pass filters. However, it was found that the displacement included not only the rail irregularities but also phase delay of the applied filters, and effect of suspension of the bogie and conicity of the wheel. To identify the rail irregularities from the estimated displacement, a compensation filter method is proposed. The compensation filters are derived by using recursive least squares method with the estimated displacement as input and the measured rail irregularity as output. The estimated rail irregularities are compared with the true rail irregularity data from the rail inspection system. From the comparison, the proposed method is a useful tool for the measurement of lateral and vertical rail irregularity.

  • 본 논문은 l1놈-Recursive Least Squares(RLS)에 수치 계산상 견실화를 더한 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. Eksioglu와 Tanc는 희소성 음향 채널 추정을 위해서 l1놈-RLS 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 그러나 이 알고리즘의 근간인 RLS 계산법 역행렬 계산에서 수치 계산상의 불안정성을 지니고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 불안정성을 낮추는 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 그리고 제안한 방법을 사용했을 때 수치적 불안정성에 대한 성능이 개선되었음을 보인다.

  • 본 논문은 볼록 규준화 RLS(Recursive Least Squares)에 쓰이는 규준화를 위한 상수를 정하는 법을 제안한다. Eksioglu와 Tanc는 희소성 음향 채널 추정을 위해서 볼록 규준화 RLS 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 그러나 이 알고리즘은 더 좋은 추정 성능을 위해서 채널의 참 임펄스 응답 정보가 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 이 같은 참 임펄스 응답 정보가 필요 없는 규준화 상수를 위한 두 가지 선정법을 제안한다. 그리고 제안한 방법을 사용했을 때 Eksioglu와 Tanc의 방법에 필적한 추정 성능을 유지함을 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 전치 왜곡 선형화기를 위한 새로운 선형화 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 DFP(Davidon-Fletcher-Powell) method를 활용하였다. 또한, 기존의 알고리즘보다 빠른 수렴 속도를 가지며, 가중치 갱신 step-size를 초기 설정값 없이 매 루틴마다 최적의 값을 갱신한다. 전력증폭기 모델링에는 전력 증폭기의 기억 효과를 모델링할 수 있는 memory polynomial 모델을 사용하였고, 선형화기의 전체적인 구성은 간접 학습 구조를 따랐다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능 검증을 위해 기존의 LMS(Least Mean-Squares), RLS(Recursive Least squares) 알고리즘과 비교하였다.

  • This paper presents the algorithm of an adaptive model-free-control-based steering control for multi-axle all-terrain cranes for which the recursive least squares with forgetting are applied. To optimally control the actual system in the real world, the linear or nonlinear mathematical model of the system should be given for the determination of the optimal control inputs; however, it is difficult to derive the mathematical model due to the actual system's complexity and nonlinearity. To address this problem, the proposed adaptive model-free controller is used to control the steering angle of a multi-axle crane. The proposed model-free control algorithm uses only the input and output signals of the system to determine the optimal inputs. The recursive least-squares algorithm identifies first-order systems. The uncertainty between the identified system and the actual system was estimated based on the disturbance observer. The proposed control algorithm was used for the steering control of a multi-axle crane, where only the steering input and the desired yaw rate were employed, to track the reference path. The controller and performance evaluations were constructed and conducted in the Matlab/Simulink environment. The evaluation results show that the proposed adaptive model-free-control-based steering-control algorithm produces a sound path-tracking performance.

  • This paper is to estimate aerodynamic coefficients needed to determine the missiles' controller design and stability from simulation data of Skid-to-Turn missile. Method of determining aerodynamic coefficients is to apply Neural Network and Recursive Least Square and results were compared and researched. Also analysing actual flight test data was considered and sensor noise was added. Estimate parameter of data with sensor noise added and estimated performance and reliability for both methods that did not need initial values. Both Neural Network and Recursive Least Square methods showed excellent estimate results without adding the noise and with noise added Neural Network method showed better estimate results.

On the Complex-Valued Recursive Least Squares Escalator Algorithm with Reduced Computational Complexity

  • In this paper, a complex-valued recursive least squares escalator filter algorithm with reduced computational complexity for complex-valued signal processing applications is presented. The local tap weight of RLS-ESC algorithm is updated by incrementing its old value by an amount equal to the local estimation error times the local gain scalar, and for the gain scalar, the local input autocorrelation is calculated at the previous time. By deriving a new gain scalar that can be calculated by using the current local input autocorrelation, reduced computational complexity is accomplished. Compared with the computational complexity of the complex-valued version of RLS-ESC algorithm, the computational complexity of the proposed method can be reduced by 50% without performance degradation. The reduced computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is even less than that of the LMS-ESC. Simulation results for complex channel equalization in 64QAM modulation schemes demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has superior convergence and constellation performance.

  • 본 연구에서는 현장에서 흔히 수행되는 가공 후(post-process) 측정만을 이용 한 단일절삭(single-pass)으로써 공작물이 원하는 일정한 직경을 유지할 수 있다는 것 을 실험을 통해 검증해 보이고자 한다. 이와 같은 방식은 이미 보오링 작업 중 보오 링바의 노출 길이 변화에 따른 가공면의 내경 오차를 없애주기 위한 방법으로써 제시 된 바 있다. 즉 반복 최소 자승법(recursive least squares)으로 미리 가정된 절삭 조건과 공작물 처짐 사이의 관계식과 관련된 계수를 가공 후에 가공 공작물의 표면 측 정으로 매 번보정(update)시켜 줌으로써 일정 직경을 얻기위한 절삭조건을 결정하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, various equalizers are considered to improve the performance of Home Phoneline Networking Alliance (HomePNA) 2.0 system under dispersive channel with intersymbol interference. We evaluate and compare the performances of Recursive Least Squares (RLS) and Least Mean Squares (LMS) adaptation algorithms. Computer simulations show that the equalizers utilizing tile RLS algorithm outperforms the LMS algorithm, especially for the system of high symbol rate and complex constellation.
