  • A critical issue in area-based stereo matching lies in selecting a fixed rectangular window size. Previous stereo methods doesn't deal effectively with occluding boundary due to inevitable window-based problems, and so give inaccurate and noisy matching results in areas with steep disparity variations. In this paper, a variable window approach is presented to estimate accurate, detailed and smooth disparities for three-dimensional structure reconstruction. It makes the smoothing of depth discontinuity reduced by evaluating corresponding correlation values and intensity gradient-based similarity in the three-dimensional disparity space. In addition, it investigates maximum connected match candidate points and then devise the novel arbitrarily shaped variable window representative of a same disparity to treat with disparity variations of various structure shapes. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed variable window method with synthetic images, and show how our results improve on those of closely related techniques for accuracy, robustness, matching density and computing speed.

  • In this paper, we have designed microstrip antenna if 800[MHz] band It will be able to integrate TRS(Trunked Radio System), GSM(Global System for Mobile telecommunication) band including the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) band we designed repeater and a base station antenna which is possible at the ship and marine of safety. It is improves a narrow bandwidth problem of microstrip antenna. It had U-shaped feeding structure at a rectangular patch And ground or feeding structure used between dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_T$ = 2.1), patch or feeding structure used between dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_T$ =1). So it used a duplex resonance effect Designed frequency bandwith(V5WR 2:1) if the antenna showed good characteristic of $780[MHz]{\sim}1.83[GHz]$ to 2.61[GHz]. Also the E-plan and H-plan all profit 9.4[dBi] above, the 3[dB] beam width showed the characteristic over the E-plan and H-plan $60^{\circ}$ to be improved.

  • The wave concept iterative procedure (WCIP) is used to analyze arbitrarily shaped frequency selective surfaces (FSS). The WCIP method is developed from the fast modal transform based on a two-dimensional fast Fourier transform algorithm. Using the proposed procedure, less computing time and memory are needed to calculate the scattering parameters of the FSS structure. The method is applied to the modeling of an FSS structure of a rectangular patch and a comparison with experimental results confirms good agreement.

  • Characteristics of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic sheet depend on the quantity and shape of fibers. During a molding process of composites, the fiber-maxtrix separation and fober orientation are caused by the flow during the molding process. As a result, the product tends to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. Hence, it is very important to clarify the relations between separation-orientation and molding conditions. The correlation between the separation and the orientation have to be clarified for designing the fiber structure. In this paper, the degree of nonhomogeneity which is a measure of the separation is obtained using one-dimensional rectangular shaped part compression molding. And the orientation function is defined and measured by the image processing using soft X-rayed photograph and image scammer. Correlation between the degree of nonhomogeneity and the orientation function is discussed.

  • The present paper investigates the propagation of Love-type wave in a composite structure comprised of imperfectly bonded piezoelectric layer with lower fiber-reinforced half-space with rectangular shaped irregularity at the common interface. Closed-form expression of phase velocity of Love-type wave propagating in the composite structure has been deduced analytically for electrically open and short conditions. Some special cases of the problem have also been studied. It has been found that the obtained results are in well-agreement to the Classical Love wave equation. Significant effects of various parameters viz. irregularity parameter, flexibility imperfectness parameter and viscoelastic imperfectness parameter associated with complex common interface, dielectric constant and piezoelectric coefficient on phase velocity of Love-type wave has been reported. Numerical computations and graphical illustrations have been carried out to demonstrate the deduced results for various cases. Moreover, comparative study has been performed to unravel the effects of the presence of reinforcement and piezoelectricity in the composite structure and also to analyze the existence of irregularity and imperfectness at the common interface of composite structure in context of the present problem which serves as a salient feature of the present study.

  • Equivalent circuits for the waveguide probe with H-shaped small aperture, as a key ingredient of near field microwave microscope, is described along with a working principle of the probe. Small rectangular or circular aperture in comparison with the wavelength behaves like the inductive element. So adding the ridged structure (corresponding to capacitive component) to the small aperture allows the transmission resonance to occur. For verification, we represents the equivalent circuit descriptions for the two types, ridged aperture and cavity types. The values of obtained by use of the equivalent circuit approaches are compared with those obtained by use of the available numerical software. The results are also experimentally verified.

  • This paper describes a MEMS-based micro-fluxgate magnetic sensing element using Ni$\_$0.8/Fe$\_$0.2/ film formed by electroplating. The micro-fluxgate magnetic sensor composed of a thin film magnetic core and micro-structure solenoids for the pick-up and the excitation coils, is developed by using MEMS technologies in order to take advantage of low-cost, small size and lower power consumption in the fabrication. A copper with 20${\mu}$m width and 3${\mu}$m thickness is electroplated on Cr (300${\AA}$) / Au (1500${\AA}$) films for the pick-up (42turn) and the excitation (24turn) coils. In order to improve the sensitivity of the sensing element, we designed the magnetic core into a rectangular-ring shape to reduce the magnetic flux leakage. An electroplated permalloy film with the thickness of 3${\mu}$m is obtained under 2000 gauss to induce magnetic anisotropy. The magnetic core has the high DC effective permeability of ~1,100 and coercive field of ~0.1 Oe. The fabricated sensing element using rectangular-ring shaped magnetic film has the sensitivity of about 150 V/T at the excitation frequency of 2 MHz and the excitation voltage of 4.4 V$\_$p p/. The power consumption is estimated to be 50mW.

  • A 2-D hydrodynamic model for predicting the movement of debris flow was developed. The developed model was validated against a dam break flow problem conducted in EU CADAM project, and the performance of the model was shown to be satisfactory. In order to suggest structural alternative for hazardous zone vulnerable to debris flow disaster, two types of initial mass distribution and two shapes of defensive structure were considered. It was found that 1) the collapse of debris mass initiated with square pyramid shape induced more damage compared with that of cubic shape; and 2) a defensive structure with semi-circular shape was vulnerable to debris flow disaster in terms of debris control or primary defense compared with that of rectangular-shaped structure.

  • This paper discusses the behavior of post-tensioned and shaped hypar space truss, with consideration of the influence of removing some web members. Hypar space truss is post-tensioned at the bottom chords of one diagonal on the ground; the essential behavior characteristic of shape formation is discussed by using a small-scale test model. Results of experiments and nonlinear finite-element analysis indicate that a planar, rectangular- arranged structure can be deformed to a predicted hyper shape, by the proposed shape formation method. Also the feasibility of the proposed method for furnishing of a hypar shaped face truss has been presented, under the condition of both non-removed and partially removed web members. It follows that a nonlinear finite element analysis method can be used in predicting the behavior of the space shape and the post-tensioning force in sharing of hypar space truss. Further, in comparison to the other cases, the results of test and analysis show that the active diagonal shaping in the non-removed web members and passive diagonal shaping of partially removed web members are in relatively good agreement.
