A Study on the Development of Healthy Desserts Using Plums

  • The health of modern people is threatened by bad eating habits. In order to provide healthy desserts to people, we conducted a study on adding plum concentrate, which is effective for fatigue recovery, insomnia, and prevention of constipation, to scones. In order to examine the utility of scones made by adding plum concentrate, the following experiment was conducted. It was prepared by adding 0g, 3g, 5g, and 7g of plum concentrate to the scone dough, respectively. As a result of the test, the sensory characteristic value was the highest in the experimental group to which 5 g of plum concentrate was added (4.77). There was a significant difference in that the average value tended to increase as the concentration of the plum concentrate increased. As for fragrance, the experimental group with the addition of 5 g of plum concentrate showed the highest sensory characteristic value of 3.62, but there was no significant difference. The experimental group to which 3 g of plum concentrate was added showed higher preference than the control group in most items such as color, flavor, sweetness, and overall preference. This study suggests that the production of scones with plum concentrate has a high potential for commercial use.

Hierarchical Voltage Control of a Wind Power Plant Using the Adaptive IQ-V Characteristic of a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator

  • Because wind generators (WGs) in a wind power plant (WPP) produce different active powers due to wake effects, the reactive power capability of each WG is different. This paper proposes a hierarchical voltage control scheme for a WPP that uses a WPP controller and WG controller. In the proposed scheme, the WPP controller determines a voltage error signal by using a PI controller and sends it to a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG). Based on the reactive current-voltage ($I_Q-V$) characteristic of a DFIG, the DFIG injects an appropriate reactive power corresponding to the voltage error signal. To enhance the voltage recovery capability, the gains of the $I_Q-V$ characteristic of a DFIG are modified depending on its reactive current capability so that a DFIG with greater reactive current capability may inject more reactive power. The proposed scheme enables the WPP to recover the voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC) to the nominal value within a short time after a disturbance by using the adaptive $I_Q-V$ characteristics of a DFIG. The performance of the proposed scheme was investigated for a 100 MW WPP consisting of 20 units of 5 MW DFIGs for small and larger disturbances. The results show the proposed scheme successfully recovers the PCC voltage within a short time after a disturbance.

전기 모델에 의한 완전 이식형 인공중이용 차동 전자 트랜스듀서의 진동 특성 해석 (Vibration characteristic analysis of differential floating mass transducer using electrical model for fully-implantable middle ear hearing devices)

  • A differential floating mass transducer has been developed in Korea for fully implantable middle ear hearing devices (F-IMEHDs). In particular, the performance of a differential floating mass transducer (DFMT) is very important among the parts of the F-IMEHDs because the mechanical vibration generated by DFMT is delivered to the inner ear directly. In this paper, the electrical model is proposed to analyze the DFMT vibration characteristic using the mechanical model of the DFMT. The electrical model enables the simple analysis of DFMT vibration characteristics using a computer program. The proposed electrical model is simulated through PSpice as changing the values of passive elements in the electrical model. To verify the proposed model, the DFMT has been implemented on the basis of the simulated results and the experiment for vibration measurement has been carried out. Through the comparison, it is verified that the proposed model is useful to analyze the vibration characteristics of the DFMT.

여성리더십교육: 교육적 경험, 그 특성에 관한 탐색 - 부산지역 P기관의 여성 학습자들을 중심으로 - (The Women Leadership Education: Educational Experience, Exploration about their Characteristics - On the women learner at the P center in Busan)

  • This paper focuses on understanding what kind of experience the women leadership education can provide for adult learners and how the learners grasp a characteristic of a women leader. For this, the research interviewed learner who complete the women leadership course at the P center in Busan. To this end, it is discussed in two sides. One side is about educational experience, the other side is about leadership. In the aspect of former approach, the leadership education shows the characteristic which is much closer to the meaning of the education itself rather than that of leadership. It not only put much emphasize on the recovery to the self but also shows the relation-oriented characteristic like building up social net-work. In the aspect of the latter, by connecting the woman and leader, women expects they wish to be a 'trustful leader'. For them, 'trustful leader' is the true leader. In addition it also means 'charismatic leader', 'servant leader', 'the leader with member to growth' and 'the leader with a rational and reasonable'. Although women acknowledge that women leader's authority and power is important for the realization of the real equality of women, at the same time, however, they worry about the possibility that this leader become a kind of a 'power-oriented leader' which causes conflict and suppress the weaker. This study argues that we need to concentrate more on the new perspective which focuses on the sharing and bordering occurred in inner gender rather than the former approach which focuses on the difference between genders.

크로스바 ATM 스위치에서의 장애 관리 (Fault Management in Crossbar ATM Switches)

  • 다중채널 스위치는 ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode)로 널리 사용되는 스위치 구조이며, 스위치의 내부에 장애에 대한 내성(tolerance) 을 구현할 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 예를 들어, 하나의 다중 채널 그룹에 속하는 링크에 장애가 있을 경우, 장애 링크로 통과하려는 트래픽을 여분의 링크가 책임을 질 수 있게 할 수 있다. 스위치 소자에 발생하는 장애는 ATM 셀을 잘못 라우팅하거나 출력단에 도달하는 셀의 순서를 뒤바꾸게 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 다중 채널 크로스바 ATM 스위치에 적용할 수 있는 두 가지의 장애 위치 확인 알고리즘을 제안한다. 첫 번째로 제안하는 최적 알고리즘은 시간적으로 최상의 성능을 보여주지만, 계산상으로는 복잡하게 되어 결과적으로 실제 구현이 어려울 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 최적의 알고리즘보다는 계산상으로 보다 효율적인 온라인 알고리즘을 제안한다. 두 알고리즘의 성능은 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한다. 온라인 알고리즘은 랜덤 트래픽 및 버스티(bursty) 트래픽에 대해 거의 최적에 가까운 성능을 보여 준다. 한편, 제안된 알고리즘으로 장애론 찾아낼 수 없는 경우가 있는데, 그에 대한 열거 및 원인을 제시한다. 끝으로 장애 위치 확인 알고리즘을 이용해서 찾은 장애를 우회하기 위해 행과 연을 추가하는 장애 복구 알고리즘을 제안하다.

식물성 기름 포수제의 바텀애쉬 부유선별 특성 연구 (The Characteristic Study on Bottom Ash Flotation of Vegetable Oil as a Collector)

  • 식물성 기름을 포수제로 사용하였을 때 바텀애쉬 부유선별의 특성에 대해 알아보고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 석탄회 부유선별에서 유상 포수제로 사용되는 Kerosene의 첨가량 변화에 따른 실험에서 Kerosene을 9 kg/ton의 비율로 첨가하였을 때, 미연탄소 회수율이 80%, 부유 산물의 미연탄소 함량이 63%인 것으로 나타났다. 부유선별 효율을 향상시키기 위해 식물성 기름인 콩유를 포수제로 사용한 실험에서는 콩유를 9 kg/ton의 비율로 첨가하였을 때, 미연탄소 회수율과 부유 산물의 미연탄소 함량이 각각 95%, 68%로 증가하였다. 콩유보다 이중결합이 있는 폴리 형태의 불포화 지방산이 많이 함유된 홍화씨유를 9 kg/ton의 비율로 첨가하였을 때, 미연탄소 회수율 99%, 부유 산물의 미연탄소 함량은 78%로 나타났다. 부유 산물의 미연탄소 발열량은 5,803 cal/g으로 나타나 화력발전소 에너지 연료로 활용이 가능함을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 식물성 기름을 포수제로 사용하였을 때 광물성 기름인 Kerosene보다 미연탄소 회수율과 부유 산물의 미연탄소 함량이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 식물성 기름 중 이중 결합이 2개 이상인 폴리형태의 불포화 지방산이 많이 함유된 기름일수록 부유 산물의 미연탄소 함량이 높아 미연탄소에 대한 흡착성이 우수한 것을 알 수 있었다.

늑간신경에 발생한 신경초종 1예 (A Case of Neurilemmoma of Intercostal Nerve)

  • Recently, we experienced a case of rare neurilemmoma originated from intercostal nerve [9th] in the right chest wall in a 25 year old male officer. The tumor was incidentally found in the routine chest X ray, where the round well circumscribed mass tumor the ninth rib with notching and sclerotic margin, suggesting slowly growing benign benign of chest wall was revealed and the tumor mass was easily extirpated in the exploratory thoracotomy, with uneventful recovery. Grossly, the tumor was firm, partly soft and well circumscribed, measuring 4.5X3.0X 3.0 cm with yellowish smooth outer surface, attached with intercostal nerve trunk. Cut surface exhibits partly grayish white and largely hemorrhagic areas. Microscopically, the characteristic palisading arrangement of schwann cells and Verocay bodies are seen but dominant features are cystic degeneration and hemorrhage with organization and fibrosis. The sheath of intercostal nerve and capsule of neurilemmoma were con joined. There is no evidence of malignancy. The tumor was confirmed as neurilemmoma of intercostal nerve, Antony type B.

  • For proper application of the superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL), the prior investigation of fundamental characteristics and its effects to the distribution systems are needed. The Current limiting behavior of SFCL is dominated by quenching and recovery characteristics. So, we have developed an EMTP/ATPDraw model of resistive type SCFL using MODELS language. The operating characteristics and current limiting behaviors of SFCL in distribution systems have been simulated and investigated.

DCM Frequency Control Algorithm for Multi-Phase DC-DC Boost Converters for Input Current Ripple Reduction

  • In this paper, a discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) frequency control algorithm is proposed to reduce the input current ripple of a multi-phase interleaved boost converter. Unlike conventional variable duty and constant frequency control, the proposed algorithm controls the switching frequency to regulate the output voltage. By fixing the duty ratio at 1/N in the N-phase interleaved boost converter, the input current ripple can be minimized by ripple cancellation. Furthermore, the negative effects of the diode reverse recovery current are eliminated because of the DCM characteristic. A frequency controller is designed to employ the proposed algorithm considering the magnetic permeability change. The proposed algorithm is analyzed in the frequency domain and verified by a 600 W three-phase boost converter prototype that achieved 57% ripple current reduction.

안료 함량에 따른 잉크의 레올로지 성질의 변화 (Rheological Properties According to the Pigment Concentration of Ink)

  • Printing inks are mainly composed of pigment and vehicles. Among these components, the Vehicle affect the rheologic property of the ink the most but pigment content or characteristic also affect to the fluidity property not less than the vehicle. In the study, with the same vehicle on each sample, by making the sample to increase pigment content gradually. It can be examined the influence of the pigment to the fluidity of ink. In result we found that the viscosity value of the low shear rate rang has relatively higher value with increasing the pigment content in the ink. According to higher pigment content, yield stress and thixotropy index increases gradually. Structure recovery of the ink is that, the higher pigment content's ink, the less changing shear rate, and it takes less time to recover.
