3차원 형상복원 정보 기반의 검색 자동화를 위한 스테레오 X-선 검색장치에 관한 연구 (The study of the stereo X-ray system for automated X-ray inspection system using 3D-reconstruction shape information)

  • X-선 탐지장치는 검색 대상물에 대한 단면 정보만을 제공하기 때문에 내용물에 대한 판정의 한계가 있다. 스테레오 X-선 탐지 장치는 검색 대상체에 대한 단면 정보와 논문에서 제안된 볼륨기반의 3차원 형상복원 알고리즘을 통해 3차원 정보를 제공하여 검색효율을 높일 수 있다. 또한, 고속 검색을 위해 자동화 검색에 대한 식별자로 형상복원 결과를 적용하고자 유사한 모형의 15개 샘플에 대한 형상 복원 및 검출율을 분석하였다. 검색대상 모델에 대한 복원 결과는 실측 모델과 비교할 때 각각 폭 (2.56%), 높이 (6.15 %)와 깊이 (7.12 %)의 오차를 보이며 높은 정확도를 나타내었다. 또한 K-Mean 클러스터링 알고리즘을 적용하여 실험한 결과 97 %의 검출 효율이 보였다. 본 논문의 결과는 자동화 시스템을 위한 새로운 검색식별자를 제시하며 추가연구를 통해 검색 시스템의 효율성 향상을 위한 연구를 진행할 것이다.

Bandwidth-Efficient OFDM Transmission with Iterative Cyclic Prefix Reconstruction

  • For orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), cyclic prefix (CP) should be longer than the length of channel impulse response, resulting in a loss of bandwidth efficiency. In this paper, we describe a new technique to restore the cyclicity of the received signal when the CP is not sufficient for OFDM systems. The proposed technique efficiently restores the cyclicity of the current received symbol by adding the weighted next received symbol to the current received symbol. Iterative CP reconstruction (CPR) procedure, based on the residual intersymbol interference cancellation (RISIC) algorithm, is analyzed and compared to the RISIC. In addition, we apply the CPR method to Alamouti space-time block coded (STBC) OFDM system. It is shown that in the STBC OFDM, tail cancellation as well as cyclic reconstruction of the CPR procedure should be repeated. The computational complexities of the RISIC, the proposed CPR, the RISIC with STBC, and the proposed CPR with STBC are analyzed and their performances are evaluated in multipath fading environments. We also propose an iterative channel estimation (CE) method for OFDM with insufficient CP. Further, we discuss the CE method for the STBC OFDM system with the CPR. It is shown that the CPR technique with the proposed CE method minimizes the loss of bandwidth efficiency due to the use of CP, without sacrificing the diversity gain of the STBC OFDM system.

재건축에 따른 건축밀도 및 주거환경의 변화 연구 (A Study on the Change of Architecture Density and Residential Environment according to Reconstruction)

  • This study aims to investigate the change in building density and residential environment after the reconstruction of decrepit public rental housing complexes formed in accordance with the Land Readjustment Project during the 1970s-80s. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, in terms of change in residential environment after the reconstruction, floor plans that were limited to two to four types and to small apartments measuring $42.9m^2$(13py)-$56.1m^2$ (17py) became varied, presenting 5-6 types of floor plans and various sizes of apartments. In particular, the reconstructed apartments were mainly built in a size smaller than 85($m^2$) and in the 3LDK floor plan and staircase-style unit architectural structure in order to reflect the lifestyle of residents. Second, in terms of change in building density after the reconstruction, the building coverage ratio did not change a lot, but the floor area ratio showed great change depending on the complex, ranging from a minimum of 2.9 times (Singdong Complex) to a maximum of 5.4 times (Eoyangdong Complex). Such change is attributable to the reconstruction policy that aims to improve the residential environment for original residents, secure economic feasibility and efficiency, and reflect the lifestyle of residents while incorporating dividends assigned to the existing housing project members as well as the maximum floor area ratio allowed by the regulation. Additionally, in terms of change in the number of floors and building density after the reconstruction, the former 5-story apartments were changed to apartments with 16-28 stories. Accordingly, the number of households in each complex has also increased by 20%. Third, according to the characteristics of parking facilities in terms of the size and density of parking spaces, former apartment complexes had only aboveground parking lots, not underground parking area. The newly constructed apartment complexes have underground parking space, and the parking-housing ratio is 1.1-1.3 cars.

  • 본 논문은 압축된 영상의 복원 과정에서 축소된 채도 정보를 휘도와 채도 성분의 상관관계를 이용하여 효율적으로 재구성하는 기법들에 대해 살펴보고, 기존에 계산 복잡도 측면에서 효율성을 보인 적응적 가중치를 가진 2차원 선형 보간법에 대해 문제점을 분석하였다. 그리고 본 논문은 2차원 선형 보간법에 대해 영상의 공간 주파수 분포를 고려하지 않는 문제점을 개선하고 저성능 시스템에 적용하기 위해 휘도 성분의 에지 반응도에 따라 계산 복잡도가 서로 다른 재구성 기법을 적용하는 다중 모드 재구성 기법을 제안하였으며, 임베디드 시스템 개발 플랫폼에서의 성능 평가 실험을 통해 유사한 수준의 복원 영상의 품질을 지원하면서 채도 재구성을 위한 계산 시간을 상대적으로 줄이고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper illustrates a comparative analysis on the economic efficiency of remodeling method that is one of major factors in totting more desirable standards and proposes to utilize LCC calculation techniques in generating a required budget for more effective quantity-based analysis that is both objective and effect. Rather than comparing only the initial lost of two different methods, it seems through to compare their entire life cycle cost that includes any repair and reconstruction/ remodeling expenses, thus generate overall quantitative analysis in objective perspective

컴프턴 카메라를 위한 3 차원 영상 재구성 알고리즘의 구현 (Implementing 3-D Image Reconstruction Algorithms for Compton)

  • We propose efficient methods for implementing 3-D reconstruction algorithms for Compton camera. Since reconstructing Compton scattered data involves the surface integral over the cone associated with the measurement bin, it is crucial to develop a computationally efficient surface integration method. In this work we assume that a cone is made up of a series of ellipses (or circles) stacked up one o top of the other. In order to reduce computational burden for tracing ellipses formed by the intersection of a cone and an image plane, we construct a series of imaginary planes perpendicular to the cone axis so that each plane contains a circle, not an ellipse. In this case the surface integral can be performed by adding uniform samples along each circle. The experimental results demonstrate that our method using imaginary planes significantly improves computational efficiency while keeping reconstruction accuracy.

비골건구를 깊게 하는 술식을 이용한 비골건 아탈구의 수술적 치료 (Treatment of Peroneal Tendon Subluxation by Fibular Groove Deepening)

  • Purpose: To evaluate the efficiency of fibular groove deepening and superior retinacular reconstruction for peroneal tendon subluxation. Materials and Methods: Six patients who were treated by fibular groove deepening and superior retinacular reconstruction for peroneal tendon subluxation from March 2000 to August 2004 were reviewed retrospectively. Results: No recurrent subluxation of peroneal tendons had occurred. All patients were return to sports by 4 months after surgery and also gained nearly normal range of motion. Five patients were completely pain free, but one patient had mild occasional pain that limit his sports activities. Conclusion: Fibular groove deepening and superior retinacular reconstruction was believed to be a reliable procedure for peroneal tendon subluxation in spite of some minor complications.

주조유동 시뮬레이션에서 자유경계면 추적 기법 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Interface Reconstruction Algorithms in The Molten Metal Flow)

  • We applied two numerical schemes to improve accuracy of the solution in the flow simulation of molten metal. One method is Piecewise Linear Interface Calculation (PLIC) method and the other is Donor-Acceptor (D-A) method. In the present work, we have tested simple problems to verify the module of the interface reconstruction algorithms. After validations, accuracy and efficiency of these two methods have compared by simulating various real products. On the numerical simulation of free surface flow, it is possible for PLIC method to track very accurately the interface between phases. PLIC method, however, has the weak point where a lot of computational time hangs, though it shows the more accurate interface reconstruction. Donor-Acceptor method has enough effectiveness in the macro observation of mold filling sequence though it shows the inferior accuracy.

Structure-From-Motion Approach to the Reconstruction of Surfaces for Earthwork Planning

  • The reconstruction of surfaces from unorganized point clouds can provide very useful information for construction managers. Although point clouds are generally created using 3D scanners, they can also be generated via the structure-from-motion technique using a sequence of images. Here we report a novel surface reconstruction technique for modeling and quantifying earthworks that can be used for preliminary planning, project updates and estimating of earthwork quantities, as well as embedded planning systems in construction equipment. The application of structure-from-motion techniques in earth works is examined and its advantages and limitations identified. Data from 23 earthwork excavation construction sites were collected and analyzed. 3D surface reconstructions during the construction phase were compared to the original land form. Similar experiments were conducted with piles of earth and the results analyzed to determine appropriate ranges of use for structure-from-motion surface reconstructions in earthwork applications. The technique was found to be most suited to pile of materials with volumes less than 2000 m3. Piles up to 10 m in height and with base areas up to $300m^2$ were also successfully reconstructed. These results should be of interest to contractors seeking to utilize new technology to optimize operational efficiency.

Structural damage identification with power spectral density transmissibility: numerical and experimental studies

  • This paper proposes a structural damage identification approach based on the power spectral density transmissibility (PSDT), which is developed to formulate the relationship between two sets of auto-spectral density functions of output responses. The accuracy of response reconstruction with PSDT is investigated and the damage identification in structures is conducted with measured acceleration responses from the damaged state. Numerical studies on a seven-storey plane frame structure are conducted to investigate the performance of the proposed damage identification approach. The initial finite element model of the structure and measured acceleration measurements from the damaged structure are used for the identification with a dynamic response sensitivity-based model updating method. The simulated damages can be identified accurately without and with a 5% noise effect included in the simulated responses. Experimental studies on a steel plane frame structure in the laboratory are performed to further verify the accuracy of response reconstruction with PSDT and validate the proposed damage identification approach. The locations of the introduced damage are detected accurately and the stiffness reductions in the damaged elements are identified close to the true values. The identification results demonstrated the accuracy of response reconstruction as well as the correctness and efficiency of the proposed damage identification approach.
