The school library media specialist is the information manager of school library as well as the teacher who take charge of a study. The basic knowledge of copyright law is needed to supply lawful and safe information service to students and teaching staffs in school. In order for the school library media specialist to have a copyright knowledge, the actual proof research to analyze the copyright recognition degree of school library media specialist is necessary, The survey study measured the recognition degree against copyright of school library media specialists who participate to 2006 school library media specialist 1 class qualification annual study and training process. As a result of the question analysis, the research suggested concretely Improved plans to raise the copyright recognition of school library media specialist.

In this paper, we investigated the information gifted teachers' recognition about the copyright and developed a copyright education. Firstly, we compared the copyright-related knowledge, affective, and attitude with the information gifted teachers and regular classroom teachers. As a result of survey, we found that a copyright education in the teacher training for the information gifted was needed, because it was not different between two groups. Accordingly, we developed the copyright education program in the teacher training for the information gifted. We also verified an effectiveness of proposed copyright education program by expert group testing. We expect that this study will contribute the spread of copyright cognition in the information gifted education.

In copyright rights of the digital image, copyright holders need to protect copyrights and improve the improvement of copyright laws through accurate understanding of copyright laws, and also to improve the effectiveness of copyright rights of copyright holders and the effectiveness of users' rights. First of all, the scope of the study is based on the case of recognition of the scope of the identity of the same scope and the copyright on the copyright law of the digital image, and the application of the image of the image of the image-writing image and the use of image artifacts based on the image copyright classification system suitable for the user's application.

Copyrights have threatened by some people even though information transfer methods are various and users can change information with others rapidly through the improvement of digital technology. The purpose of this study is to identify illegal actions against academic library users and to propose a solution to the copyright problem. Through understanding general concepts of copyrights and illegal cases against copyrights, collected essential cases were analysed. The results show that library users have copied and transferred illegally some materials with knowing unlawful actions.

In this paper, in order to protect music copyrights, we propose a music identification system which is scalable to the number of pieces of registered music and robust to signal-level variations of registered music. For its implementation, we define the new concepts of 'music word' and 'music phoneme' as recognition units to construct 'music acoustic models'. Then, with these concepts, we apply the HMM-based framework used in continuous speech recognition to identify the music. Each music file is transformed to a sequence of 39-dimensional vectors. This sequence of vectors is represented as ordered states with Gaussian mixtures. These ordered states are trained using Baum-Welch re-estimation method. Music files with a suspicious copyright are also transformed to a sequence of vectors. Then, the most probable music file is identified using Viterbi algorithm through the music identification network. We implemented a music identification system for 1,000 MP3 music files and tested this system with variations in terms of MP3 bit rate and music speed rate. Our proposed music identification system demonstrates robust performance to signal variations. In addition, scalability of this system is independent of the number of registered music files, since our system is based on HMM method.

This study, considering the many disputes in today's society centered around copyrights, aimed at analyzing and investigating the scope of application for copyright laws in library, whether where is a reach or not, and also the procedures and cognitive degrees in copying and transmission of copyrights materials. Especially the usage of the digital resources built by major domestic libraries have been looked at, and how they reveal the cognitive degree of copyright laws toward various social stratums have been analyzed. Research subjects in each social stratum were firstly classified, which centered around university library users, authors as well as librarians in each university library public access post, then the difference of understanding toward copyright laws between each of these 3 groups was analyzed, and also at the same time the problems in usage authorization procedures of copyrighted materials in library were analyzed. so that the solutions to such problems can be found.

With the development of SNS, many different areas including education are utilizing SNS in various ways. And there are more and more learners and teachers who intend to use it for learning. Lately, however, the students using SNS environment hardly consider the issues regarding copyright, so this is raising even legal issues, too. Therefore, this study has examined the degree of recognition of undergraduates on copyright and extracted the general cases of copyright which undergraduates may face in the actual class or everyday life. The cases extracted are expressed in the rules of "If ~ Then", stored in the knowledge base of rules in the rule-based system, and realized as the mobile web. And regarding the copyright-related problems inputted by the students, similar rules are drawn from the knowledge base of rules so that they can solve copyright-related problems anytime, anywhere with the mobile web in a self-directed way.

본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 내용기반 인식 기법을 이용하여 인터넷에 불법으로 배포되어 있는 콘텐츠를 추적하는 기법을 소개한다. 내용기반 인식 기법은 콘텐츠의 원신호에서 내용기반 해쉬나 혹은 축약된 형태의 특징벡터를 추출하여 콘텐츠를 인식하는 기술로 저작권보호 분야에서 불법 저작물을 필터링하는데 많이 활용되고 있다. 불법 콘텐츠 추적시스템은 인터넷에서 광범위하게 유포되어 있는 저작물을 검색하여 그 내용을 기반으로 인식하여 불법 여부를 판단한 후 삭제메일이나 재전송 중지 등의 후속 조치를 자동으로 수행하는 저작권보호 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 오디오, 비디오, 어문, 게임 콘텐츠에 대해 내용을 기반으로 인식을 수행하고 불법 여부를 판단하여 재전송 중지 조치를 취하는 능동적 저작물 추적 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템에서는 검색모듈에 의해 수집된 다양한 저작물에 대해 저작물별 독립적으로 인식 기능을 수행하는 기능을 제공한다.

The amount of UCCs (User Created Contents) has been increasing rapidly and is associated with a serious copyright problem. Automatic logo detection in videos is an efficient means of overcoming the copyright problem. However, logos have varying characteristics, which make logo detection and recognition very difficult. Especially, there are frequent logo transitions in a video, comprising several video contents. This disrupts accurate video segmentation based on logos. Therefore, this paper proposes an accurate logo transition detection method for recognizing logos in digital video contents. The proposed method accurately segments a video according to logo and efficiently recognizes various types of logos. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for logo detection and video segmentation according to logo.

Information technology(IT) is changing rapidly based on growth of internet and computer businesses. Therefore, computer programs and softwares are distributed to computer users promptly for their productivity increase and efficient work. So, in the distribution, the softwares will be copied or released through network or other methods which are not authorized by the program owners. In that case, copyright dispute is incurred and various issues are come out due to infringement of the software copyright. Thus, the purpose of this study is to research infringement cases of the software copyright and how to settle the dispute which is related with software programs. To achieve the purpose of this study, this research consisted of 5 chapters. At chapter 1 introduction, it mentioned necessity of this study, purpose and how to research this study, and at chapter 2 dispute factors indicated and summarized for technical resolution. At chapter 3, infringement cases of software copyright analyzed and studied upon intellectual property(IP) related laws. And methods of dispute settlement discussed and suggested to chapter 4 for copyright and intellectual property protection. Also, it emphasized importance of arbitration to resolve the issues timely and avoid time and economical consumption. Of course, arbitration law has to be matched with the trend of technology development for effective settlement. At chapter 5 conclusion, it summarized this research and suggested further research for empirical test of economic value of the software copyright upon the aspect of business, law, and engineering. In this study, the results are 1) IP related laws have to be enacted or revised to meet technical changes for the protection of software copyright on time. The enactment or the revision of law takes a long time, therefore, to deal the dispute effectively, 2) arbitration law has to be utilized efficiently in order to resolve issues and settle the dispute promptly. It is suggested the dispute settlement through arbitration to save time and economic matters for legislation, and to harmony with the technology trends. 3) Recognition of software copyright is to be improved by users and enterprises for development of software related industries and intellectual property protection. In conclusion, the protection of software copyright is important than any other things in the field of IT because of the development of industry and intellectual property related laws. The development is for areas of business, law and engineering, so research and practices are to be combined with the areas so that it could resolve the dispute settlement and IP protection effectively.
