  • This study surveys the brand and design recognition by an expert vs. non-expert group in the eye glasses industry. This survey is to search for a way for domestic brands to compete and win foreign ones. The non-expert group chose design as the most noteworthy difference between domestic and foreign brands; likewise, the expert group appeared to first consider design on their choice. Brand recognition by the non-expert group appeared very low; on the other hand, expert group's recognition was higher with domestic brands than with foreign ones. In conclusion, the bounce back of domestic eye glasses business does not seem to be possible in a snap by a special recipe; rather, it is necessary to invest and make efforts to develop new techniques for better quality on the one hand, and to increase brand and design recognition on the other.

As a result, 7 out of 25 questions showed the difference of significance by p<.05. As for tap water service and sewage disposal system, there were differences on 5 out of 6 questions, indicating that male teachers are more knowledgable than their female counterparts. Fourth, the result of the research about the recognition and attitudes about water and water saving of the teachers who were categorized by the age group showed that 14 questions of the 25 questions had differences in p<.05 level. • Purpose: This study was to the investigate recognition of physical activity between physical therapy students (PTS) and non-physical therapy students (NPTS) by measuring the level of physical activity using International Physical Activity Questionnaires (IPAQ). Methods: A cross-sectional survey was completed by 191 university students. The IPAQ with an additional question (Is physical activity necessary for your future job?) was used to evaluate the recognition and the amount of physical activity. The collected data were calculated as MET-minutes scores and were classified as walking, moderate, and vigorous level of physical activity. The students were analyzed by dividing them into those who had a part-time employment (16 PTS and 12 NPTS) and those who did not have a part-time employment (80 PTS and 83 NPTS). Results: In students with a part-time employment, no significances were observed between the PTS and NPTS, in terms of MET, frequency and time of physical activity, and sitting time (p>0.05). In students without a part-time employment, the NPTS was significantly higher than the PTS for the MET and frequency of physical activity in a vigorous level (p<0.05), and there were no significant differences in other levels of physical activity (p>0.05). In the additional question, the PTS showed a slightly higher than the NPTS (p<0.05). Conclusion: The physical therapy students did not remarkable barrier to recognition of physical activity, but there was a difference in their recognition of the vigorous level of physical activity. Therefore, the understanding of physical activity for PTS would play an important role in the recognition of how physical activity can be promoted.

  • Interest in music recognition has been growing dramatically after NHN and Daum released their mobile applications for music recognition in 2010. Methods in music recognition based on audio analysis fall into two categories: music recognition using audio fingerprint and Query-by-Singing/Humming (QBSH). While music recognition using audio fingerprint receives music as its input, QBSH involves taking a user-hummed melody. In this paper, research trends are described for music recognition using audio fingerprint, focusing on two methods: one based on fingerprint generation using energy difference between consecutive bands and the other based on hash key generation between peak points. Details presented in the representative papers of each method are introduced.
