In this study, to develop an assessment method for spatio-temporal riverbed changes, a 1-dimensional model (HEC-RAS) and a 2-dimensional model (CCHE2D) were built and applied. As for the analysis of a riverbed's long-term change in a real stream, three new assessment methods were developed, which are called the "Sediment section cumulative curve", "Sediment section moment", and "Sediment probability distribution function." These methods were used to assess the characteristics of riverbed changes using a consistent valuation standard and to understand changes in quantities intuitively. From the results of this study, sediment characteristics of cross sections can be detected effectively by applying the "Sediment section cumulative curve" method to determine whether there is any sedimentation or erosion in total emission. The amount of sedimentation or erosion occurring in the right or left banks, which divided by center column, could be presented as one criterion by applying the "Sediment section moment" method. This approach could be utilized as an indicator for sediment predictions. Spatio-temporal sediment variables can be presented quantitatively by determining the mean and uncertain boundaries through the "Sediment probability distribution function", and finally, the results can be illustrated for each cross section to provide intuitive recognition.
Pilon fractures involving distal tibia remain one of the most difficult therapeutic challenges that confront the orthopedic surgeons because of associated soft tissue injury is common. To introduce and describe the diagnosis, current treatment, results and complications of the pilon fractures. In initial assessment, the correct evaluation of the fracture type through radiographic checkup and examination of the soft tissue envelope is needed to decide appropriate treatment planning of pilon fractures. Even though Ruedi and Allgower reported 74% good and excellent results with primary open reduction and internal fixation, recently the second staged treatment of pilon fractures is preferred to orthopedic traumatologist because of the soft tissue problem is common after primary open reduction and internal fixation. The components of the first stage are focused primarily on stabilization of the soft tissue envelope. If fibula is fractured, fibular open reduction and internal fixation is integral part of initial management for reducing the majority of tibial deformities. Ankle-spanning temporary external fixator is used to restore limb alignment and displaced intraarticular fragments through ligamentotaxis and distraction. And the second stage, definitive open reduction and internal fixation of the tibial component, is undertaken when the soft tissue injury has resolved and no infection sign is seen on pin site of external fixator. The goals of definitive internal fixation should include absolute stability and interfragmentary compression of reduced articular segments, stable fixation of the articular segment to the tibial diaphysis, and restoration of coronal, transverse, and sagittal plane alignments. The location, rigidity, and kinds of the implants are based on each individual fractures. The conventional plate fixation has more advantages in anatomical reduction of intraarticular fractures than locking compression plate. But it has more complications as infection, delayed union and nonunion. The locking compression plate fixation provides greater stability and lesser wound problem than conventional implants. But the locking compression plate remains poorly defined for intraarticular fractures of the distal tibia. Active, active assisted, passive range of motion of the ankle is recommended when postoperative rehabilitation is started. Splinting with the foot in neutral is continued until suture is removed at the 2~3 weeks and weight bearing is delayed for approximately 12 weeks. The recognition of the soft tissue injury has evolved as a critical component of the management of pilon fractures. At this point, the second staged treatment of pilon fractures is good treatment option because of it is designed to promote recovery of the soft tissue envelope in first stage operation and get a good result in definitive reduction and stabilization of the articular surface and axial alignment in second stage operation.
This survey was willing to suggest the basic data required for strategic planning to improve the recognition rate on radiation by investigating the difference between the college students who major in radiology and who don't about using radiation. As the results of questionnaire survey on 'knowledge, degree of self-consciousness, danger, convenience and management' targeting 441 students who belonged to D college, 75% of them answered that radiation exists in their daily lives and 54% of them answered they did not know about radiation well. It showed that radiation is dangerous no matter how much the amount is (56%) and it is not dangerous if it is managed well (81%). They answered that they enjoy the convenience of radiation (82%) and the use for medical purpose took the highest percentage among them (58%). It showed that it is important to manage the radiation and should be controlled by the government in institutional way than the individual (64%). The negative answer to the question of 'do you trust the government?' was dominant (75% below average). As the results of this survey, it was recognized that both of them who major in radiology or not were aware of positive aspect of radiation (especially medical technology field) well and the improving the perception of radiation led by the government and definite restriction on its safety should be preceded for safe use.
Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the status of foodservice management, with special interest on sanitary and nutritional food service in elderly day care centers. Methods: A total of 79 employees who managed foodservice facilities in elderly day care centers were included in the survey. The contents of the questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, importance and performance of sanitary and nutrition management, the reasons for poor performance, factors necessary for improvement, and the employee's demand for support. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS v25.0. Results: Sanitary management showed an average importance score of 4.84 ± 0.40 and a performance score of 4.70 ± 0.61 (t-value: 8.260). The item with the lowest performance score was personal sanitary management (4.58 ± 0.71). In nutrition management, the average importance score was 4.52 ± 0.68, and the performance score was 4.20 ± 1.00 (t-value: 9.609). There were significant differences between the average score of importance and performance in both areas. As a result of an Importance-Performance Analysis, items that were recognized as important but had relatively low performance was "personal hygiene", "ventilation" and "food storage". Also in the nutritional management area, "menu planning for disease management" and "checking the saltiness in the soup" etc. had very low performance with low importance recognition. The items shown in the "low priority" quadrant were those that required professional management skills. In the areas that demanded support in foodservice management, education about sanitary and safe institutional food service had the highest score (4.42 ± 0.74), and all other items showed a demand of 4 points or more. Conclusions: Foodservice managers recognize the importance of foodservice facility management but performance is relatively low. Institutional support is, therefore, needed to improve performance. For items with low importance, it seems necessary to improve awareness of the necessity of these items and to provide education in this regard. To gradually improve foodservice management, continuous provision of education and training in these areas are of great importance.
Coal ash is generated from coal-fired thermal power plants every year. The remaining quantity of coal ash ends up in the landfills except for the recycled portion, and the existing ash pond capacity is limited almost. Currently, the difficulties are faced in building a new ash treatment plant because of the concerns about the environmental impacts of landfills at individual plant facilities. In terms of minimizing the environmental impact, the recycling and effective uses of coal ash are recognized as urgent issues to be challenged. Accordingly, this study examines the obstacles in expanding the recycling of the coal ash in South Korea and proposes solutions based on the case study analysis. The analysis results are as follows: 1) specific recycling guidelines and standards are required to be established in accordance with the contact medium (soil, ground water, surface water and sea water) and the chemical. 2) by providing the recognition environmentally safe in recycling the coal ash, transparency in establishing the planning stages and active communication with the community through promotion and research are essentially needed. 3) practical support system is required to encourage the power plant companies to use the coal ash as beneficial use.

In this study, we extracted the core competencies of makers through the analysis of critical incident technique and behavioral event interview to explore the nature and attributes of maker education, and then we developed a maker competency model based on these core competencies. As a result, six competency groups and 23 sub-competencies were extracted. In other words, we were able to confirm the existence of integrated thinking competency group consisting of four competencies made up of 'analytic thinking', 'intuitive thinking', 'visual thinking', and 'empirical thinking' and that of collaborative competency group with four competencies of 'sharing', 'communication', 'conflict management', and 'scrupulosity'. In addition, we could also confirm the existence of making mind competency group, which is composed of four competencies namely 'interest in various areas', 'challenge consciousness', 'failure management', and 'pleasure of the making process'. We could also confirm that human-centered competence group consisting of two competencies of 'humanity' and 'user-oriented' and the problem-finding competence group consisting of two competencies of 'observation' and 'recognition of discomfort in daily life'. Lastly, the making practice competency group is composed of seven competencies: 'understanding making tool', 'understanding electricity', 'understanding programming', 'planning', 'hand knowledge', 'information search', and 'direct execution'. We discussed educational implications of these findings.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of R&D learning organization activities of domestic small and medium-sized businesses on economic/technological results. This study, through investigation on preceding studies of domestic and foreign learning organization researchers, examined the definition, characteristics, and deteriorating factors of learning organization, and learned dependent variables, which are the definition of organizational performance, and relationship between learning organization and organizational performance. Then it performed a survey targeting small- and medium-sized businesses in Gumi and grasped the relationship between R&D capability (study planning, vision goal adequacy, project management, commercialization of technologies) and learning organization capability (creation of constant learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and utilizing system, strategic learning leadership) by classifying them to seven independent variables, using regression analysis. Because this study grasped the effect of R&D learning organization activities on organizational performance, it is expected to promote forming R&D learning organization for active R&D activities and contribute to enhancing small and medium-sized businesses' recognition on the need of R&D activities.

As publicizing of electromagnetic devices such as smart_phone and drone etc. which are relate with geomagnetic direction, and recognition about the importance to space weather effect and their hazards rises up recently, it is required heavily that the study on the effective measurement of geomagnetic declination and geomagnetic field effects of space weather. The purpose of this study is that the investigation of the feasibility of the absolute geomagnetic measurement in a place, where man-made geomagnetic contamination is low or negligible, with replacing the azimuth marks used for the absolute geomagnetic declination measurement with unified control points(UCP) which established at suburb. Further to this, have first derived the correlation of daily variations and disturbance level between the published indices($K_P$ and $K_K$) and geomagnetic element calculated from geomagnetic data of Cheongyang observatory located at the middle stage in Korea and is a member of INTERMAGNET. In addition, have carried out that the absolute measurement for the geomagnetic declination at three places near unified control point and one place with wide open field in Korea. The world magnetic models(WMMs) are selected as the criteria for comparison on the feasibility of geomagnetic declination investigation near unified control points. We compared deviations of declination from absolute measurement with that obtained from WMMs, also those from WMMs inter-comparison. The result through examination and analysis show that the feasibility of the absolute geomagnetic declination measurement with replacing the azimuth marks with UCP which established at suburb is possible.

First, CVC focused on strengthening investment. Second, In 2015, Invested in an average of 19 months of technology-based startups. In recent years, we invested in 36 months of proven technology-based startups. Thirdly, ICT service was the main business type of the invested startups. Fourth, the investors were concentrated on the stage of Series A~B. It is observed that CVC investment determinants have a significant impact on product or service and parent company relations. In addition, it was found that factors such as innovation, business planning competency, enterprising, strategic competency, leadership, and opportunity recognition competency were influential factors for the startups of invested companies and it was found that these factors are important for CVC investment decision. Understanding of CVC investment determinants presented in this study is based on the establishment of the investment process of the investee, entrepreneurship and management education program. The results of this study can be applied to the selection of excellent startups, entrepreneurship education programs, mentoring, development of coaching guidelines, and establishment of investment process of other investment institutions when investing in CVC.
Due to changes in the distribution industry, inner harbors have been on a sharp decline in the recent past. However, through the application of the right development plans, such harbors can be revitalized into vibrant urban areas again. The importance of inner harbors has been recognized by the relevant authorities in Korea which are now pushing forward with redevelopment plans for its inner harbors. This study proposes a new approach to redevelopment plans based on the recognition that inner harbors have unique characteristics involving both inland areas and the ocean. In the study, representative inner harbors were selected and analyzed comparatively according to two distinct concepts of location: the Gateway Concept and the Central Place Concept. Based on these concepts, the conditions of the inner harbors were examined. Their location can be typed, and development directions were proposed according to their types and conditions. However, difficult points such as isolation and separation between an urban district and the harbor area, can be obstructions to their potential revival. An inner harbor needs to be considered as an intermediary, connecting place between the ocean and the city, not as another ordinary development area. In addition, a redevelopment plan should be accompanied by a strategic viewpoint to make the most of this feature.
